  1. have you tried hard wired ethernet to see if it's a network issue or a flash update?
  2. well you can go from 10.6.0 straight to 10.6.7 with comboupdate then apply EDP1.7
  3. yeah there's a link in wiki to prasy
  4. was it a clean 10.6.0 or a hackcd 10.6.0?

    Hello :)

Welcome to OSXLatitude... glad our comunity could help you out.
  6. i think the old ipod classics use to use them... drive and ribbon
  7. funny i had an issue like that with my linksys pcmcia wireless until i rebranded it... that helped the speed alot..
  8. no problem with posting good news twice . and thanks for sharing your find!
  9. did you try installing chameleon to a thumb drive then installing EDP 1.7 package to the same thumb drive build it for your machine then rebooting with the thumb drive and selecting the 10.6.3 retail disc? might just work. if not then image the retail disc to the drive thumb drive first then do the above to it.
  10. you probably need to find a 10.6.7 kernel that works for amd... but you can always go by the old adage. "If it aint broke don't fix it."
  11. That's the first time i see that.... lol... it's almost as if it were detecting 2 different smbios files. or as if chameleon was detecting / injecting another machine?
  12. if you did not have to "fix" your wifi you should be good if you however had to patch before then most likely you will have to patch after the update..
  13. the only carbus cards i own are wireless cards... if it's compatible with osx then it will probably work.
  14. did you try enabling graphics injection in chameleon... try using chameleon prefpane or lizard app
  15. no they never finished the intel driver "iwifi"
  16. that's odd.... Anv kext that i modified should be able to use the "vanilla" trackpad prefpane. have you replaced trackpad prefpane before? might you have another trackpad kext in S/L/E or E/E ? try booting chameleon with -f -v so it bypasses and rebuilds your catches. was it a vanilla install with EDP? you have to forgive me but i'm working blind here. if your machine is a D430 use the "debug output" or "Slice" version.
  17. turn off your bluetooth so it stops looking for external trackpad then it should open. some times you need a reboot(very rare) for the prefpane to respond
  18. if you have a working osx install then use edp 1.7.pkg and change the "install to" path it should show you a list of drives that you can "install" to so select your "usb installer stick" then when edptool.command opens build it for your D630 when finished. take and boot your D630 with it. edp installer is very versatile. it will build on whichever partition or hard drive it was installed to and not affect the others. when the machine boots up to osx then install edp1.7.pkg to that hard drive and again build for your d630 but do not use the edptool.command from usb as it only affects the usb stick, use the edptool from your d630 extra folder like i said before edp only works on the drive that it was installed to.
  19. the problem is that the dvi port will not work in hack dell for some reason... Leon and i were experimenting with this issue over the weekend and got some progress with just the laptop and it's vga port on the back but we had to use some very ancient kexts that are not compatible with 10.6.5 and above.. safari crashes when opening youtube or yahoo and a bunch of other sites and it seemed to slow down the computer. but mirror mode worked with my 1080p hd monitor but not leon's monitor also it was very unstable sometimes kp sometimes grey boot or cycling f8 would cause a halt. apple has not released the source code for the drivers so not much more can be done. but it does seem to be a driver limitation put after 10.6.4 the 2 kexts go in e/e then you must rebuild your mkext using EDP option 1 then option a and restart hopefully it will boot correctly if not use -f -v in chameleon. 20. you have so much going on there... WoW... i don't have any of your hardware to help you trouble shoot. lets see how far i can help. ok some questions are both monitors connected to the same card? the way you have the plists suggests thats your goal. is the card detected and functional? it seems so from your system profiler but if not you will have to put it in your extra/extensions folder and rebuild your extensions from current config in the bios you can set internal or dock video. is it set to pci? are any of the doc features functioning? this is all i can think of right now.
