Make sure you have HFSPlus-64.efi in driver64UEFI folder

try bootpack and update files here. Patched DSDT included.

I'm now using 0x16260006 which enables HDMI video. Here's my new file HD5500.zip works well, but no HDMI audio HDMI_Audio.zip has HDMI audio but loses mouse after sleep. I still haven't figure out the fix for that yet. Only difference between the 2 DSDTs are renaming B0D3 to HDAU to allow HDMI audio and renaming GFX0 to IGPU. Those 2 changes causes KP with the HD5500 config file. With the config and DSDT changes in HDMI_Audio, sleep is not working properly and loses mouse. I'm using ApplePS2Controller for mouse and not voodoops2controller, it works but no trackstick scrolling. Hope you or anyone with this model to give my files a try and help make it better. I have limited time to test these days. HD5500.zip HDMI_Audio.zip ApplePS2Controller.kext.zip

[Resolved] USB 3.0 doesn't work in Yosemite 10.10.4 for Dell 7440
Jake Lo replied to maitrex's topic in The Archive
Did you update the files to 10.10.4 from the update link? Also remove GenericUSBXHCI if you still have it. -
No, when you install Clover to the HDD, make sure to customize and select Install for UEFI booting Only
-
Remove the FB patch from your Config now that you have DVMT set in the BIOS.
-
No file attached...

1 step forward and another step back. Finally able to get HDMI Video/Audio working, but only to lose the mouse after sleep. External USB mouse would still work, but need to figure out why PS2 mouse stopped responding. Updating DVMT is all that's needed to get the hack going, I don't see a need to unlock anything else.

Yosemite OSX 10.10.4 Need help to Intel HD Graphics and Wi-Fi
Jake Lo replied to MacDuke2's topic in The Archive
E6410 with 1st Generation Intel HD graphics is not supported, it has eDP instead of LVDS. You'll won't get QE/CI for this graphics. See here for more information. Given those facts, you won't have a good experience with this hack. -
Make sure you have KernelPM enabled. The nvidia might not be supported so, enable nv_disable=Yes as well. Enable InjectIntel and ig-platform-id=0x0a260006

Try with a different brand of USB. HDD with USB adapter works too. Just need to boot with -v, otherwise you'll get the infamous ebios error.

Make sure secure boot is disabled in the BIOS.

See Hervé's guide here for this very model. it's for Mavericks, but try the keyboard/mouse kext from his bootpack. It also mentioned that webcam is an issue for that model depending on chipset it has that might or not be supported.

Try didn't usb port.

If you're using chameleon boot loader, then get the update files here for E6x20 under 10.10.4.
-
Does the HDMI work after you have booted?
-
If you have follow the guide to edit the kexts, then you have to either undo them or restore the vanilla kexts. That should fix your graphics issue as the config has done that modding for you.
-
No need to patch kexts manually since you are using Clover with on-the fly patching. Try this config. I noticed you have a SSDT-2 renamed from ssdt-8? where did that come from, it's not in your origin folder config-verebes.plist.zip

E6410 display issues after install (Intel graphics)

Try replacing with these files E5450.zip
-
Just copy the entire /Extra folder from the Installer to the HDD. Boot with -v -f to see if there's any issue. If no issue, then generate the SSDT and change org.chameleon.boot.plist to DropSSDT and uncheck P and C States.
-
Is your drive formatted with GUID or MBR? There's several guide here for Chameleon or Clover dual boots, use our search option.
-
You don't need the SSDT for the Installer. You could generate it from the Dell system after you have install successfully.
-
Vanilla AppleHDA means untouched after you installed El Capitan. Did you use the bootpack I attached here? Only this not working should be the webcam because it's on USB 3.0. There's some research on it but I have not look into it in detail.

Use the vanilla kernels that are available here. Patched kernels are only for Haswell CPU's Place Kernel in /System/Library/Kernels/. You will have to manually create the folder Kernels as it's not automatically created.
