  1. all dell latitudes have replaceable wifi cards .. same with WWAN
  2. try making the freedos pen from windows instead... i have a feeling the osx version is buggy
  3. Replace the wifi with a broadcom card .. you can pick one up from ebay quite cheap Make sure that your usb key is MBR and not GUID (many people change it to GUID when installing OSX, and forget to change it back to MBR after done installing)
  4. Does it make any diffrence if you transfer eg. via network ?
  5. Its very much alike the Chromebook cr48 that i'm messing around with these days. The bad thing is the graphic card, while you can get full resolution under SL, then (so faar) there is no way to get accelrated graphics.. sadly.. meaning stuff like flash.. youtube.. etc. will be a pain to use I would suggest SL.. google around and see if any other have had any success with that model .. maybe you can find a pre-made package ready to use
  6. hmm... i know what i would do.. just replace the card..but hey.. thats me how about if you boot into osx with it disabled, replace the network kext from mariusz's post and reboot with wifi enabled ?
  7. disable the wifi in bios when installing, and turn it back on after your install is finished
  8. Cool progress.. i would love to help you get them running 110% so that we can include your setup in EDP for other users. Do you know what kind of trackpad you have ? (ALPS or Synaptics)

Hey mate, We dont support Leopard anymore, i urge you to move on to atleast Snow Leopard instead. The reason for this, is that most of the kexts, dsdt etc. we have is updated and matched for SL or Lion. Also, its worth to notice, that you will find much better support for your machine in SL/Lion
  10. there is an alternate trackpad in EDP also that should work for that trackpad.. look in the edptool menus
  11. Then try one of the others.. there is 4 diffrent versions in EDP
  12. The easy fix is to buy a apple usb network adapter, you can pick those up cheap - they are one 1gbit and extremely stable. I bought one and used when i had a D620 as a home server... give it a try
  13. Please report back the info you get after you have booted verbose...
  14. Hey mate, Welcome back and nice find. I'll consider to add a kext patch package to EDP3 that contains the two kexts above and AppleACPIPlatform.kext from 10.6.7 (this fixes so that coolbook works on Lion) Btw.. if you want a recap or test EDP 3, then catch me on skype
  15. ok, i'v updated the wiki.. Thanx for letting us know
  16. cool, short questions.. was there any diffrences on the commands used under 10.10 than on the onces documented on the wiki ?
  17. In terms.. you should be able to delete un-used kexts.. BUT.. i would not do it. 1. OSX only actually loads the onces that you need 2. They take so little space that it makes no sence 3. There is a BIG risk that you break your installation because many kexts require other kexts from sle (chain loading etc.) Overall.. dont mess around in sle
  18. You might want to check out crackwalk... http://www.crackwalk.se/
  19. Hi, We would need to get more info to help you.. are you in OSX Right now ? If yes, go over to http://team.osxlatitude.com/tools/ - download Hardware info (there is one for both SL and Lion) Run the application and make an image (you can use GRAB wich comes with OSX) and post it here. This will show us what kind of hardware you have...
  20. If you do get it working, then please let us know so we can add it to EDP
  21. On the wiki is a link to "supported" models.. thats the models we presently support.. More models is being added as we get our hands on the specific machines...
  22. Dont think so.. Simple solution: Buy this: http://www.kollewin.com/EX/09-15-10/macbook-air-usb-ethernet-adapter_1.jpg Its apples original, works out of the box, no hacking needed and its quite fast also..
  23. WOW.. thats amazing work dude .. its stuff like that we need onboard our team. Joe, if you dont mind, could you add the same changes to the D4x0 DSDT so i could give it a test ?
