  1. There we are. Installed Ok on the E6230 with adjusted Clover r4079 boot files + new masks to bypass firmware verification and running perfectly. ACPI tables and kexts from my Enoch Sierra bootpack re-used.
  2. You were told exactly what to do in post #6 and reminded in post #8. Please follow instructions rather than waste everyone's time...
  3. Did you downgrade to A12 as per the 2 x steps reminded by JakeLo? If you did, check the settings of DualLink parameter: 1) set to 0 if LCD resolution of lower than 1600x900 2) set to 1 if LCD resolution is higher than 1440x900 The LCD resolution also impact the Capri framebufer layout-id to use: 1) low res -> layout-id 0x01660003 2) high res -> layout-id 0x016660004 NB: your LCD native resolution is shown at bottom of System Information BIOS page.
  4. Announced earlier at WWDC and DP1 made available for developers. Full installation cannot be completed at this stage but it's only a matter of hours probably...
  5. Check again when you have a good network connection. FaceTime may retain low-quality settings until it's able to up' them.
  6. Probably linked to your Internet connection speed whilst in camping (3G maybe?). Try again once you're back on a high-speed connection.
  7. Which layout-id did you select? Should be 0x0600260a. Set DualLink to true too.
  8. No kexts no, this Sunplus UVC webcam (ven/dev ids 0x1bcf/0x2802) is USB internal and works OOB using Apple's own inner drivers. You'll find no specific add-on kexts for it. Make sure you have full graphics acceleration and good enough ambient light in the room.

    Dell 1564

Install EC or Sierra? Yes. Obtain full graphics acceleration? Possibly but doubtful this will still be supported. Radeon HD 4330 is low-level and old stuff... Use Clover, select EDID injection and the correct AMD family framebuffer. You'll have to try the various framebuffers in the Clover list all until you (hopefully) find the correct one that works.
  10. Ok, so it's indeed a SandyBridge CPU. You therefore need to adjust the graphics settings as mentioned earlier. Please note that there is no Turbo boost mode on this i3 CPU (which is often the case on these entry level CPUs) https://ark.intel.com/products/53438/Intel-Core-i3-2350M-Processor-3M-Cache-2_30-GHz Post a zipped copy of the DSDT + Clover config.plist you're currently trying to use and we'll try to do the needful, i.e. inject the correct laptop SNB/HD3000 layout (and remove the HD4000 layout injection). You'll also have to remove and CPU power management SSDT not meant for your i3-2350M and re-generate the appropriate one with Pike's usual tool.
  11. Those guides are for IvyBridge CPUs with HD4000 graphics. As such, it should be no surprise that they're not fully applicable to your model since it's apparently a SandyBridge i3/HD3000 model. We haven't seen many of those around here. The overall OS X/macOS installation process remains the same but the patched DSDT and/or graphics settings posted in the guides clearly apply to HD4000 graphics not to HD3000. You must therefore adjust the graphics settings to, say, those described in the E6220 guides. Lookup Rehabman's laptop patches repository as well. I think there are specific DSDT patches for SandyBridge on Series 7 chipset. What's your exact CPU model? It should be listed in BIOS System Information.
  12. D8xx are meant to run on 90W mains adapter. You're probably are or were given a message at start-up informing you that your adapter could not be determined and that this may prevent system performance. Note that this may also happen if your power adapter cable is damaged. http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN148385/ac-adapter-error-message-occurs?lang=EN I'm not aware of any Clover option or macOS parameter that could bypass this Dell safety matter. Considering the price of an adapter (we're talking less than 10€/$), I'd advise you to go for it. The workaround you mentioned sounds quite far from being a hardship...
  13. -s flag will not boot your system since it's for single-user mode, i.e. some step by step special boot mode you only use when you try to repair the system after doing something that broke it... You want to use -f -v flags to boot without cache and in verbose mode.
  14. You're quite mistaken! Broadcom device 5880 is no Bluetooth module. It's a SoC used for security purposes. https://www.broadcom.com/products/embedded-and-networking-processors/secure/bcm5880 https://blog.g3rt.nl/enable-dell-nfc-contactless-reader.html Your DW1560 is either not in a WWAN slot (mandatory to get Bluetooth over USB) and/or your USB ports are not all functional (you would need to patch your DSDT to rename EHCx devices to EH0x and install a USB injector kext). Look up details of the DW1560 in the wikidevi link provided in our inventory thread. At the risk of sounding silly, are you sure you have a DW1560 or a combo Wifi/BT card? If you have a Bluetooth module and Bluetooth is enabled, BIOS information page should show something like "Bluetooth device = installed" next to Wifi and Cellular (=WWAN/3G-4G) devices.
  15. You won't get anywhere with old Chameleon option arch=i386 on anything younger than Lion! All subsequent OS X/maxOS versions are 64bit only... If your USB installer does not seem to load anything any longer after a short while, try unplugging/replugging it. I'd leave PciRoot at default value to begin with (i.e. 0) unless you know that it is set to something different in DSDT. Re: USB ports, you could try USBLegacyOff=Yes instead of USBBusFix=Yes which enables all 3 x USB fixes: EHCIacquire UHCIreset USBLegacyOff Remember to rigorously follow the syntax of the options as all are syntax sensitive. If in doubt about a particular option, type ? at Chameleon prompt/delay bar. For instance, it's USBBusFix not USBBUSfix or arch=i386 not arch=1386...
  16. Are you sure they're both identical in every respect and that CPUs do not differ from one model to the other?
  17. You probably weren't using the Sierra patched version but an older one...
  18. Well, if that green stuff isn't a successful cache rebuild, I don't know what is...
  19. Delete the prelinked kernel as found in the folder described in the path and the cache. Use the following Terminal commands: sudo rm -f <prelinked kernel path/filename> sudo rm -Rf /S*/L*/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/* Then rebuild your cache: sudo touch /L*/E* sudo touch /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U /
  20. Are you sure you properly connected the power cable of the fan? Hard shutdown sounds like the CPU T° safeguard. Check your T° with HWMonitor tool. Regarding thermal paste on the CPU, you're only supposed to put a rice grain equivalent in the centre of its top. No more.
  21. You need to zip your files before you can attach and post them. Jpeg pictures are already compressed...
  22. Then boot with the following manual parameters to see what happens: KernelBooter_kexts=Yes -f -v.
