  1. You're quite mistaken! Broadcom device 5880 is no Bluetooth module. It's a SoC used for security purposes. https://www.broadcom.com/products/embedded-and-networking-processors/secure/bcm5880 https://blog.g3rt.nl/enable-dell-nfc-contactless-reader.html Your DW1560 is either not in a WWAN slot (mandatory to get Bluetooth over USB) and/or your USB ports are not all functional (you would need to patch your DSDT to rename EHCx devices to EH0x and install a USB injector kext). Look up details of the DW1560 in the wikidevi link provided in our inventory thread. At the risk of sounding silly, are you sure you have a DW1560 or a combo Wifi/BT card? If you have a Bluetooth module and Bluetooth is enabled, BIOS information page should show something like "Bluetooth device = installed" next to Wifi and Cellular (=WWAN/3G-4G) devices.
  2. You won't get anywhere with old Chameleon option arch=i386 on anything younger than Lion! All subsequent OS X/maxOS versions are 64bit only... If your USB installer does not seem to load anything any longer after a short while, try unplugging/replugging it. I'd leave PciRoot at default value to begin with (i.e. 0) unless you know that it is set to something different in DSDT. Re: USB ports, you could try USBLegacyOff=Yes instead of USBBusFix=Yes which enables all 3 x USB fixes: EHCIacquire UHCIreset USBLegacyOff Remember to rigorously follow the syntax of the options as all are syntax sensitive. If in doubt about a particular option, type ? at Chameleon prompt/delay bar. For instance, it's USBBusFix not USBBUSfix or arch=i386 not arch=1386...
  3. Are you sure they're both identical in every respect and that CPUs do not differ from one model to the other?
  4. You probably weren't using the Sierra patched version but an older one...
  5. Well, if that green stuff isn't a successful cache rebuild, I don't know what is...
  6. Delete the prelinked kernel as found in the folder described in the path and the cache. Use the following Terminal commands: sudo rm -f <prelinked kernel path/filename> sudo rm -Rf /S*/L*/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/* Then rebuild your cache: sudo touch /L*/E* sudo touch /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U /
  7. Are you sure you properly connected the power cable of the fan? Hard shutdown sounds like the CPU T° safeguard. Check your T° with HWMonitor tool. Regarding thermal paste on the CPU, you're only supposed to put a rice grain equivalent in the centre of its top. No more.
  8. You need to zip your files before you can attach and post them. Jpeg pictures are already compressed...
  9. Then boot with the following manual parameters to see what happens: KernelBooter_kexts=Yes -f -v.
  10. There's a "Donate" button at bottom-right corner of the forum pages. Use Paypal.
  11. As stated sooooo many times on the forum, re-enter the touch and kextcache commands. Do this immediately after the "xxxxxx status 77" message.
  12. Depending on the bootpack you used, it could be a VoodooPS2Controller issue. From 10.11.4, the traditional version caused KP. Ok with Dr Hurt's recent versions. You can also grab a perfectly working version of Dr Hurt's kext in my E6230 Sierra pack.
  13. The pop-up error message will appear right after you copy the kext to /L/E but have not repaired /L/E permissions yet. In that respect, make sure not to forget any of the commands posted by JakeLo. If you obtain the "xxxxxx status 77" message in the end, re-enter the touch + kextcache commands until it's gone. Message "xxxxxx status 17" is Ok.
  14. Added Asus PCE-AC66 (450/1300Mbps) & PCE-AC68 (600/1300Mbps) 802.11a/b/g/n/ac 2.4/5GHz desktop PCIe x1 cards.
  15. Since the question was asked, let's clarify the matter... Various PCIe desktop adapters/cards carrying the above BCM94360CD (or its other derivatives) + a USB connector (for Bluetooth) work exactly the same way. They are found at the usual on-line commercial and auction sites. Some carry 2 antennas, some carry 3, some carry 4. There are raw adapters on which one fits an Apple card or ready-to-use cards with everything on them (wireless card often hidden under a little plate). Eg: NB: Windows drivers are usually available for extraction from Apple's Bootcamp drivers/tools. Using Pacifist on the OS X/macOS installation package should do the trick.
  16. No, no, no... Just set the KernelBooter_kexts parameter to No as stated in the guide.
  17. I wouldn't be so categoric with regards to following the guide "to the T": you've kept KernelBooter_kexts parameter to Yes. As such, your cache is ignored, kexts placed in /L/E should be ignored and you only inject kexts from /E/E. Once you're placed all add-on kexts to /L/E and rebuilt your cache, the boot parameter is meant to be set to No, as stipulated in the guide.
  18. Can you please post the output of Terminal command diskutil list and a zipped copy of your /Extra folder?
  19. Then, your setup is incorrect. Maybe you have several partitions with OS X and the bootloader is picking stuff from the 1st partition only. Enoch will pickup its theme from /Extra/Themes folder too. I don't see why you've added the folder to the EFI partition.
  20. Why did you install those 3 kexts (Lilu + AppleALC + HDAEnabler12) ?
  21. Obviously, a webcam of some sort! Since moving to El Capitan and Sierra, you've probably never applied the necessary USB fixes: renaming of DSDT USB devices + installation of a USB injector kext. You can look that up...
  22. Sounds like a USB issue. Is the camera visible in SysProfiler->USB section?
  23. IDT 92HD93 patch for AppleHDA is readily available on Hackintosh sites. Here for instance. Goes with relevant dummy kext (available in E6230 posted bootpack).
  24. E6x40 should use SMBIOS MacBookPro11,x; not MacPro. https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7387-dell-latitude-e6440-with-i5-4300m-hd4600-and-1600x900-lcd-mavericksyosemiteel-capitansierra/
