  1. sometimes deleting all the network devices hitting apply then adding them back cures weird issues like that.
  2. make sure you don't have fakesmc in S/L/E or it's plugins edp puts it in e/e
  3. look in s/l/e and see if there is an isight kext
  4. try running your dsdt through this... not the best way to do it but it might help get you started http://www.osx86.es/old/?p=997
  5. check if your ethernet device id's are in the kext's info.plist for your hardware
  6. im sure it does.... i need to refresh my "D" series with some E's
  7. well welcome to our forum..... this is all because of your inspiration. we decided to continue your work. cheers
  8. leppy700m that name sounds very familiar.
  9. then it needs a better kext for the card. google your ethernet device.
  10. have you deleted all your networks in the pref pane then hit apply. after that then add the Ethernet apply then WiFi and apply, set the service order after installing both back.
  11. d620 bios should be modifiable with phoenix bios editor. you need a fresh bios installer from dell plus an rw report and compile on the same machine. if it's dsdt that you want to edit then you need to have it pause at dsdt while compiling so you can edit the dsdt.
  12. if you just need to reset nvram then the terminal command is sudo nvram -c
  13. it should be directly bootable with chameleon exactly as you left it before cloning
  14. it's ok if it's not GUID you can still clone it to anything.
  15. you will probably need an older AppleACPIPlatform.kext version1.3.5
  16. yes that simple..... you can even partition the drive if it is GUID formatted from with in diskutility then make a clone on the same active drive. it will show in chameleon as another install.
  17. yup it's normal on that model. why ... no clue probably has to do with not having a recovery partition.
  18. i highly doubt any of those software's will backup chameleon... but you should be able to reinstall chameleon. as for time machine.... im sure it would be a very slow process if at all possible. you can also just partition a disk and clone your install.
  19. you can try with this experimental kext found here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/247470-bcm5722-bcm5754m-bcm5755m-bcm5787m-and-bcm5906m-nic-driver-3264-bit/
  20. Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper or DiskUtility or Clonezilla all work for free.
  21. make sure you do not have arch=i386 in org.chameleon.boot.plist or force64 flags it causes instant reboot for ML.
