yes i understood but the fact is but still different hardware, different outcome. GMA d430 and GMA d620 have this issue with brightness.

save the AppleACPIPlatform.kext from S/L/E in 10.7.3 and add it to your extra folder then run my fix.

you sure its not the Hdd going bad? bad sectors or S.M.A.R.T is failing?

sounds like your usb thumb drive is slow. clone the installed d620 drive to the new one instead if thats an option. or swap hdd and make surer all is well first.

on nvidia models usually it is bright, and the d830 came in x3100 and nvidia which are different hardware then gma 945/950 base models

it was a mess to get it to work somewhat and that was with extracting a bunch of intel video kexts from th 10.6.2 update for the gma d620 and the nvidia one was not much better as the kexts for that card are only 32 bit i had to use the DP1 kernel using it gave a Cra* load of errors at boot... it's been a whle sorry i cant be more thorough but it was really horrible.

are you using our method and boot pack? you might be missing a dsdt or kext.

sounds almost like hardware related... does it do it in bios also if you leave it in bios setup for a while idling? the nvida models tend to do that when going bad... is yours an nvidia

no you might have bad permissions on your disk, use disk utility to fix them first.

the reason that myhack takes longer is because it is building a kernel cach and moving your extra into s\l\e while correcting permissions... you should not mix the methods. faster does not mean better.

if you use just nullcpu without sleep enabler that happens

try booting with GraphicsEnabler=yes at boot prompt

well ipod uses a different firmware setup for the hdd http://forum.oqoasis.com/archive/index.php/t-20.html

use latest myhack to install chameleon boot loader. it's should fix 4ksector issue

do you have the latest bios on both hdd and d430? also make sure the hdd is not for a ipod

did you modify the dsdt like for the d830 nvidia, pretty much any nvidia needs that patch not just d830
