Inspiron 7370: unable to obtain graphics acceleration
Bronxteck replied to tikizondo94's topic in The Archive
did you look at the clover gen-config plist let it regenerate with your current config to see if you see your device id in it you can also try one with 0x12345678 and see if you see it then pass that on to your current config with the device id you wish to test it might be bit flipped you can use calculator app in programmer mode in hex mode or just reread the hardcode patching here https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/334899-guide-intel-framebuffer-patching-for-mojave/ I guess you add it to second line -
maybe you need rehabman's usbmux kext

most likely in device properties now of clover config but I think according to the Russian link about WEG... WEG might automatically use HDMI or LVDS for eDP I have been following your progress at IM. -

yes there have been daily changes with concern to the lilu project. have you considered just doing a fresh install on a test drive with your latest changes. -

for wifi you could probably just use the lilu plugin instead of fakepcid. that's what I use on my broadcom wifi. to figure out your chipset you can try using DPCIManager app -

the EFI i posted was all the kexts i used i have nothing in s/l/e or l/e... did you remove all the graphics patching kexts other then lilu and whatevergreen. you can also try rebuilding caches. also you can try regenerating the clover config and recheck the device properties section to see if it add's your graphics and to see if it looks correct. i tried that framebuffer app but adding the boot flag to the config file i did not find the FB dump it was supposed to do on the root of the drive i was on mojave. -

the dimness can be because of nvram backlight variables I think pressing F11 at clover GUI resets it. so it still gets stuck at USB? do you have 200 series chipset or 300? -

it looks like you have other kexts since that EFI did not have pcidkext also it seemed to have stalled out on usb do you have kexts in L/E or S/L/E that might conflict with them? -

Inspiron 7370: unable to obtain graphics acceleration
Bronxteck replied to tikizondo94's topic in The Archive
LOL depends on who the help is. there are certain kexts that work better in the system though. most of rehabmans work is designed to be in the system. anything related to lilu should be in clover efi did you try that injection for eDP connector you where attempting at IM? from what i recall his method was patching a haswell for eDp there are only two people i know that speak graphics framebuffer fluently and that is @Hervé and @Jake Lo the benefit to the clover other folder is that you have your kexts when in the installer and recovery partitions -

lilu and its plugins are designed to run from clover efi not L/E -
[SOLVED] E7440: Battery ran out in standby and now it won't boot

at clover prompt hit spacebar and select the boot with hibernate disable option. or something along those lines if not you can reset nvram by pressing F11 at clover gui. -
[SUCCESS] Latitude 5590 (Coffee Lake) High Sierra
Bronxteck replied to quartz38's topic in The Archive
nope you would be the first one here. they just added graphics support to clover 6 days ago so you will need clover revision 4606 or higher at minimum, lilu.kext and whatevergreen.kext compiled from source within the last 5 days they added support for faking coffee as kaby you will probably have to look at some sort of DVMT editing or patching. plus your standard laptop issues like back light, audio, WiFi, bt, track pad/keyboard (these might be on an i2c bus) sleep/wake/shutdown, power management. -

Bronxteck replied to tikizondo94's topic in The Archive
no it seems my HD530 runs native after setting the DVMT so i do not need to inject intel. did that efi make any difference or are you still having issues? i also noticed you only had fakesmc in other folder so where are you putting yours? make sure your old kexts do not conflict with this EFI. -

I was looking for similar machines to try smbios from and it looks like the MacBook 10,1 used HD615 graphics that is similar to your UHD620 https://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-i7-1.4-12-mid-2017-specs.html https://www.notebookcheck.net/UHD-Graphics-620-vs-HD-Graphics-615-vs-HD-Graphics-630_8098_7441_7652.247598.0.html -

can you post your current EFI here? also can you use clover configurator app to generate a config it should put it on your desktop look through it, it should look different to your normal config. you might have to clean up the graphics section as it populates that with some defaults but you can try it first before removing then add it to clover efi then select it from clover GUI options remove any fake id's from it and any intel injection plus also chose bios.aml for DSDT also disable any fakepcid kexts from the clover GUI space bar disable kexts option. the generated config should add some devices for you into the device properties section of config. basically what I want to try is a simplified streamlined config. maybe you have too many things loaded fighting each other for the graphics. my HD530 does not need much at all to boot properly. I am not using DSDT or SSDT just the latest compiled whateverggreen kext, lilu, fakeSMC, mausiethernet, XHCI-200-series-injector.kext and voodoohda for my audio you would obviously need a few more like trackpad/keyboard kexts maybe the backlight and wifi stuff. whatever green has now become a universal graphics plugin. it incorporates many of the lilu plugins into one project. it has intelgraphicsfixup, whatevergreen, nvidiafixup, shiki so you will have to also remove/ disable those to test Lilu-1.2.6-2018-07-22 12.28.42.zip WhateverGreen-1.2.0-2018-07-22 12.28.58.zip -

most likely as having both would conflict. -
sometimes setting up a different kHz value in Midi Prefpane helps with noisy audio devices.
