[Solved] E7440: Problematic Trackpad & right click
Jake Lo replied to gelomon's topic in The Archive
acidanthera's kext has portings from skyrilHD's code to support Alps. I didn't know it supports v3 Rushmore since I've never tested it on the E7440. So it's works almost the same as yours. No scrolling with the middle mouse with the trackstick. The left mouse can click but can't drag, same as yours. But if I use the trackstick left mouse, I could drag it with the touchpad, just not with the trackstick. Also can't highlight text.- 10 replies

[Solved] E7440: Problematic Trackpad & right click
Jake Lo replied to gelomon's topic in The Archive
Just got around to using it. My E7440 is also V3 Rushmore. Touchpad works pretty well Swiping and zooming works Right click also work without any modification Slow scrolling is a bit jittery if you don't pick your fingers off the touchpad. Issue I have is that I do use the track stick a lot more than I would the touchpad With this version, scrolling with the middle mouse doesn't work I can't highlight with the left mouse of the track stick. Right click also works on the track stick. If you could add those 2 feature, that would be awesome!- 10 replies

Try replacing AlpHID with AlpsT4USB
-
Did you let it sit long enough? Storage is Sata or NVME? IF NVMe, what brand / model? Some NVMe are not supported.
-
Airdrop might not be supported yet, since it's still in Alpha stage for Ventura. Just have to wait for further development from the developer. How slow is your boot time?
-
Did you set the Video memory size to 64MB in the BIOS? Maybe try 128. I don't have 2k internal display so can't verify for you. Don't know if it's an issue with Ventura or not since we have to fake the device ID so to be able to install Ventura. You can test by downloading the Monterey EFI files and install Monterey. See if you notice a difference with the glitches.
-
the 2k display is internal or external?
-
are you booting from USB EFI or internal EFI partition?
-
I assuming you're using the Ventura EFI files since you're running Ventura. I don't remember seeing any glitches with the posted files. Are all websites or a specific site you're visiting? Are you using Safari or Chrome or other browser?

download IORegistryExplorer.app version 2.1 preferably. Use google Launch the app, click on file and select save. Right click on the file and select compress. Attach it here. So what issue do you need help with?
-
give this a try, should support BS and Monterey, rename folder to EFI and replace your EFI folder I'm assuming you're using Intel/BT combo card since you didn't list any system spec. Best to add them to your signature file HP Probook 650 G2 OC0.8.6.zip

post your EFI folder

Post your system's full specs: what wifi / BT device installed?

Dell Optiplex 3040 MT: No hardware encoding support (Ventura)
Jake Lo replied to idle's topic in The Archive
if you want to run with the HD530, you need to remove the AMD card or disabled it If you look at your screen, you can see AMD is running and not HD530 -

according to Dortania's guide Highest support MacOS for RX 560 is Monterey -
On my E7440, I use MacbookPro11,4. That allows me to run Monterey as well.
