Having booted the USB Installer, at the main screen, open up Terminal and try: cp -Rf /Extra /Volumes/SSD/ or sudo cp -Rf /Extra /Volumes/SSD/ but I think sudo isn't supported from the installer.
-
Only that you're not installing the bootpack properly.

Try & boot without the cache through the following Enoch options & flags: KernelBooter_kexts=Yes -f -v Once at the High Sierra desktop, rebuild your cache: sudo touch -f /L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U / Then install the latest Enoch version r2921. It'll not remove anything from /Extra, merely update it if required. DSDT, SSDT & Enoch config files will remain the same. https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/71-enoch/

long time to boot time out.. ADP1 BAT0 (E7440_mojave)
Hervé replied to girardpallet's topic in The Archive
You use Lilu +WEG, so: update those 2 x kexts to the latest versions remove FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics + IntelFixUp kexts; they're not required since you use Lilu + WEG Using Clover Configurator app, in your Clover config: Graphics section: remove "Inject Intel" + layout -id 0x0a260006. Lilu + WEG take care of that and it's already injected in the patched DSDT ACPI section: remove ssdt.aml from SortedOrder box ACPI section: remove SSDT entries CpuPm + Cpu0Ist from Dropped Tables box ACPI section: untick Drop OEM from SSDT options Devices section: no need to fake 0x04128086, it's already injected in the patched DSDT Kernel & Kext Patches section: enable KernelXCPM option While looking at your DSDT, I also noticed a duplicate entry in the HPET device. I can't say if that's likely to cause an issue but I'd recommend you remove this duplicate: Device (HPET) { Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0103")) // _HID: Hardware ID Name (_UID, Zero) // _UID: Unique ID Name (BUF0, ResourceTemplate () { IRQNoFlags () {0,8,11,15} IRQNoFlags () --> Duplicate code {0,8,11,15} --> Duplicate code Memory32Fixed (ReadWrite, 0xFED00000, // Address Base 0x00000400, // Address Length ) }) Name (_STA, 0x0F) // _STA: Status Method (_CRS, 0, NotSerialized) // _CRS: Current Resource Settings { Return (BUF0) } } - -
Before Lilu + WEG, there was a binary patch for IOGraphicsFamily kext... Afaik, the High Sierra patch remains applicable to Mojave: \/ Find: 0100007522 Replace: 010000EB22 /\ Try it. 'works for me on my Ivy Bridge/HD4000 Latitude E6230 (I don't use WEG).

[SOLVED] D630 El Capitan - Bottom Side and Back Right USB InOp
Hervé replied to M10360's topic in The Archive
Use the kexts and DSDT provided in the El Capitan bootpack I posted in the dedicated D630 thread of this very section. You can't miss it; it's pinned. I also strongly suggest you lookup my D630 guide available in the Guide->Dell section. -
mSATA SSDs would not be mSATA if they had a built-in SATA controller, they'd be mini-PCIe cards... The only mini-PCIe SSDs that you may find today will be IDE/PATA (with built-in controller), not SATA. By definition, an mSATA SSD operates like a regular SATA SSD and connects to a SATA I/O controller via an mSATA interface just like an IDE/PATA disk connects an an IDE/PATA I/O controller through an IDE/PATA interface. This was subject of lengthy discussions many years ago. I remember a topic in which I engaged on the very matter back in 2015 at IM: https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308127-question-regarding-msata-on-eeepc-901-which-has-a-mini-pcie-slot/ http://www.supertalent.com/products/ssd_category_detail.php?type=Mobile Computing&category=Laptop

+1. No AppSore PrefPane under Mojave...
-
And if you place the kext to /S/L/E or as a PlugIn of IO80211Family kext?
-
You will not find any mSATA SSD with built-in SATA controller.
-
You are most definitely mistaken, not Dell's personnel. The mini-PCIe/USB slots of the E6x30 series are not mSATA capable. Argue all you want; won't change anything... mSATA support was introduced in the E6x40 series. Any mSATA SSDs you'd fit in your E6330 could only be attached to a SATA slot, through an adapter. Don't torture your brain and get a regular 2.5" SATA-3 SSD. Any will do.

E5520 Clover boot menu does not recognize keyboard and touchpad
Hervé replied to afgverhart's topic in The Archive
You're probably mistaken. And, please don't link to that place. No double/multiple posts either. -
To re-focus the thread on tits initial and entitled topic, ALC292 audio on this model couldn't be easier to activate: vanilla AppleHDA in /S/L/E AppleALC + Lilu kexts in Clover's Other folder or cached from /L/E audio layout #12 (0x0C) injected in DSDT or through Clover config and that's it. This has been listed, relisted, posted and re-posted dozens of time in many E6x40/E7x40 threads. There's absolutely no need to do anything with FBPatcher or anything of the sort. Keep it simple and to the point.

Guys, no need to quote when replying directly; it defeats the purpose...

[Mojave] Dell E7450 + Dell DW1560 - Wi-Fi: No hardware installed
Hervé replied to kanarienvogel's topic in The Archive
Please refer to the Wireless & Bluetooth forum section. DW1560 is based on BCM4352 chipset which is not supported OOB and requires patching. -
Mojave runs on Sandy Bridge Ok; you just have to apply a few tricks like patched PlatformSupport.plist (ideally) and installation of SNB graphics kexts from, say, HS 10.13.6. It's long been explained/detailed how... For the rest, it's just as usual. I would never recommend Mojave on an HD3000 laptop since that old iGPU has been prone to buggy graphics since El Capitan. It can only get worse with a macOS version that bears no support for it.

You must patch the FB/display connector that HDMI output is attached to. It should be FB@1 (connector 0x0105) and the priority must be changed from 0x09 to 0x12 with connector-type changed to HMDI, i.e. 0x00080000. Full details are available here:

Graphics acceleration is not due to FakePCIID_Intel_HD kext which is actually not required at all. Graphics acceleration is obtained through "Inject Intel" + suitable Capri layout-id injection OR Lilu + WEG kexts. SD card reader -> please post specs (PCI ids) and consult our R&D->Card reader section Sleep -> Probably due to unpatched USB ports. You'd normally have to inject power properties as per on a real Mac TouchPad -> try and identify your TouchPad model. If Alps, yoiu should be Ok with Dr Hurt's VoodooPS2Controller R6 as compiled & posted by Bronxteck. Look it up in Dr Hurt's dedicated theread in R&D->kexts section.

Arf, there's simply no timeout in the o.c.B.plist of the Sierra bootpack, that's all. I take it you did not know that, when the Chameleon/Enoch little rotating character appears in top left corner of the screen, you can press [F8] to interrupt timed/auto startup and be able to enter boot options/boot flags like -v.
-
Each guide has got the right bootpack and kexts. Kexts have been tuned to the SMBIOS that fits the hardware and OS X/macOS version requirements. It's specified in the Sierra guide. Again, in the case of Sierra, if you're getting a "Waiting for root device" error message, unplug the USB installer and try it in the 3 x other USB ports.
-
Oh yes, I think I had that too. Try unplugging but replugging into another USB port. If you change SMBIOS profile, you have to modify FakeSMC + USB injector accordingly!

Need instructions on installing TP-LINK TL-WN823N
Hervé replied to RamiTrainFan's topic in The Archive
@RamiTrainFan, for goodness sake, RTFM and use the Search facilities! Anything else you need asistance with? -
Where does your Sierra installer hang? What does it say on screen?

Single-user mode, if you manage to partially boot the system that way...
