  1. Sounds like you indeed need to install/re-install the Chameleon bootloader. It won't do anything to your SL installation but, as always, if you have concerns, make backups beforehand...
  2. Look here: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2120-wireless-cards-inventory/ Still no other contribution from anyone else though...
  3. You don't need an installer, just copy the Chameleon boot file to the HDD root.
  4. If LAN adapter has disappeared, just extract it to /E/E from bootpack, the run myFix (full). If you got KP after SoundFlower was installed, removed it, but I guess it's probably more to do with the audio kext you chose. I'd go back to do a new EDP System build and carefully choose the patched AppleHDA kext that's listed for the D430. 2Go RAM max, I suggest you get familiar with the user's guide specifications off Dell's web site.
  5. Sounds like following EDP installation, you have the issue of NVRAM + incorrect Chameleon boot loader, hence no boot! So, you should either remove FileNVRAM.dylib from /Extra/modules or update your Cham boot loader to r2169 or above. This has been talked about many many times recently. Do a little search on the forum, I've even posted boot file r2170 if memory serves me right. Re: trackpad, make sure to select Voodoo PS2 controller (ALPS) in the list when you do your system build. I think it select ANV-Slice by default.
  6. I often found that, on the D Series, Lion (and Lion installer) required boot option "USBBusFix=No" to avoid keyboard+mouse issue...
  7. Why not try to install ML with myHack, followed by whatever kexts your hardware may require?
  8. No, it's a different GPU on the D820. As a general rule, if there's no bootpack for a given OS X Version, then we don't support it (usually because the hardware is not fully supported under that version).
  9. Give it up, the NVS 110M graphics card is not supported under ML.
  10. Try the latest version 2.8.1, bearing in mind that it may require iGain increase for Volume control (typically to 90).
  11. Which audio kext?
  12. Mmm, could you check the Vendor id and Device id of the LAN card? That'll help us confirm wether it's supported by the above kext or if it needs another one. But if the card is detected, it usually means PCI ids are covered.
  13. Look at the list in "Research... -> Hardware fixes -> Network" section
  14. VoodooPS2 controller (Alps) should work just fine on your D630 with Lion. Regarding KP, read-up the recent forum posts on the matter, like in the D630 Lion guide...
  15. Just copy the Eth kext from the bootpack to /E/E and re-run myFix (full). The EDP bug should be fixed soon.
  16. Yes, you should always copy additional kexts to /Extra/Extensions and follow-up with myFix full. Avoid adding stuff to /S/L/E as this is really for the original Apple stuff and it's best to leave as is unless absolutely necessary. myHack provides the facility to add and/or replace/supersede kexts through /E/E. Regarding KP every 5/10mins after EDP 5.0 execution, can you say whether there is any mention of EFINVram in the KP message at all? If that's the case, try and replace the boot file at root (/) level by the one I had attached here: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2137-wanted-edp-4-or-older/?hl=2170
  17. Simply copy the BCM440xxx kext from the Inspiron 9400 botpack to /E/E, then run myFix (full).
  18. No! Please use the search function on the forum.
  19. I'll try and have a look tonight. Meantime, check your BIOS settings against the recommended ones.
  20. Try to low-level format it on a different machine and restart again.
  21. What X3100 FrameBuffer kext would that be? No such thing in the bootpack or EDP... Follow the standard EDP documented procedure using the bootpack and you should be Ok. There is no X3100 kext to install on the D630. If you do, then your problem is probably coming from that. I think this post may require to be locked and moved to Archive. The early procedure provided by Mariusz is now obsolete.
  22. Did you install the right bootpack?
  23. There used to be a "fix" menu in text-based EDPTool, now it's in EDPWeb. You can't miss it: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2107-the-future-is-here-edp5/page-1
  24. Yep, up to r2181. Just use default settings when doing the build.
  25. Oh, look here! https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2142-d620-kernel-pannic-after-edp/
