  1. you can try this for a usb card reader http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=237068
  2. well the heatsink fins do tend to cake up with dust inside the machine where the fan meets the heatsink... that can also cause noisy fans.
  3. or try the d620 dsdt, there interchangeable but change with the one for your graphics card
  4. so far the d620nvidia will not give graphics acceleration, so things lockup terribly like launchpad and safari top sites... i didn't care to find out much more after that and it needs alot of old kext and kernel support.
  5. d620 nvidia has nvs110m /go 7300 the black screen is a known issue with 7xxx cards and the driver. from what i understand switching the resolution wakes it back up but kinda hard to do it as you cant see it. if you close the lid and open it it should wake the screen. now on d620 GMA you need to add a system bios password, there is also an option in bios to tell it to bypass passcode from wake from sleep.
  6. so far ml is a no go on both my intel and nvidia d620
  7. there was a fix for that in edp fix section. not that it allows to use mirrormode but it would at least get you back to extended mode try playing with switchresx.app and see if it helps it is trial ware though
  8. probably a typo the d830 has x3100 version just double check in your bios
  9. seems simpler on the older 10.10 but 12.04 can be used
  10. if your using an old distro of edp with myhack wich creates myhack.kext in s/l/e and 0edp.kexts is still there they will conflict with each other. so please use the newest versions of both edp and myhack, both methodes are tied together so using old methodes with new just because edp 2.1 "is on hand" causes issues.
  11. the blue tooth has to be either switched from bios or set to use the switch on the left side, multigestures do not work on the trackpad, you can try choosing different trackpad options, you can update edp to the latest there are a few more options
  12. are you sure it's core 2 duo not core duo.... big difference one does not work with lion.
  13. just remove sleepenabler.kext or boot with pmVersion=0 to bypass sleep enabler.
  14. thank's albert i moved it to the correct thread
  15. did you shut off all unused ports/modem in the bios. plus shut off wake from usb, also set usb to 2.0 if you can
  16. no clue dude i have had 4 latitudes all worked fine except the d620 nvidia and display wake
  17. the atheros card is a no go, but the RTL8187B might have a chance if you fing working kext for it, neither will work out of the box so to say like some dell wireless cards do.
  18. it is not working on d620 nvidia either with sigmatel 9200 in bios info
  19. or a good old diskutility permissions repair
  20. real x3100 macs also have the issue of freezing, try a post mariusz wrote on d630 he mentions using snow leopard kexts
  21. all you have to do is turn off the keyboard detection in advanced bluetooth, very simple
  22. who"s kexts and kernel is that.... that is not from edp
  23. looks like graphics are not loading or supported
  24. no rhyker it does not.... d630 on up does
