Can you list your kext in Extra/Extension?

Which Extra bootpack are you using? Can you explain your step by step process you took to get this far?

According to their posts above, they are able to follow my guide and use the Extra folder for the OptiPlex 9010 model here and it worked nicely. Follow guide here http://myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/ to create the USB Installer. Good luck!

After replacing ApplePS2Controller.kext in the USB installer, did you run myfix to update cache and fix permission? Please list what's in your Extra\Extension folder of the USB installer.

You need to get a Displayport to DVI or Displayport to HDMI adapter. Personally, I haven't tested the DP to HDMI adapter, but only DP to DVI adapter which works perfectly. You don't need to rebuild your system, just plug in the adapter and you'll see OSX is installed successfully.

Can you list what works or not works for the system with your kexts and dsdt file. ie. hdmi, multitouch touchpad... Please attach your Extra so we could add this model to EDP. Thanks.

The black strip can be easily lift up and the two wires detach. Make sure you take out the battery first. Try not to do it in an area with lots of static charge like on a carpet.

Herve, It won't go to sleep automatically, I have to click on sleep to get it to sleep. I probably need a DSDT file to fix that I guess.

Looking at the wireless pix, it shows an Intel Centrino card. It's not supported, you'll need to replace it. Please check Leon's recommendation.

You could read more about the tool at the creators website. Another member here Igashu, had gotten his E6520 with Nvidia nvs4200 working pretty well as I had follow it for my E6420 with nvidia display with success. That is pretty close to your hardware, not knowing what your pc specs is. Check out his instruction here and use his bootpack for the build. You should be able to get most thing up and running. You also need to consider the wireless card whitelist that Lenovo has on their BIOS. You can't just install any wireless card that fits.

Welcome to OSXlatitude Sorcerer, Here we use the excellent tool myHack by Conti to build our OSX's. If you game, I invite you to test it out. You can start by following the process here. You can skip the EDP part since this model is not added yet. Just follow the USB Installer Creation and the Installation steps. Use my bootpack to replace the generic Extra folder. You have pretty much the same specs as my E6420, I had to replace the Intel centrino wireless with a Dell DW1510 wireless card, works nicely. Post back your success or failure. JL

You can install it using myHack.app. You can then upgrade to latest version v2.2svn r2203 using Chameleon.

You should select the root as the target.

Check out this guide by Leon. It said you'll need to replace the wifi/BT card. Run lspci -nn from the terminal and post your result here to see what cards are in your system.

Check to see if there's any problem program that's not close properly by running Option-Command-Esc and end them.

Placed the kext in Extra\Extension and run myfix/full

Sleep is not possible with the nvidia 5200m yet. Will need a lot of DSDT editing to get that to work and I'm no expert in that area.
