Unlike your Broadcom BCM4352, I'm not sure that JMicron card is actually supported under OS X/macOS. On another note, you should remove the following add-on kexts from your Clover kexts folder: Snow Leopard 10.6.7's AppleAPCIPlatform v1.3.5; it's totally unnecessary (was only required in Lion and ML). NullCPUPowerManagement; you want vanilla CPU power management with P States and C States generation in your Clover config (which you have); you may also remove those CPU PM related SSDT drops...

You can upgrade by making a fresh installation os say Yosemite or El Capitan over your existing one. This will keep all your exising data, files and apps.

I've finally re-compiled Ethernet BCM5722D kext v2.3.6 in fat-binary mode, i.e. combined 32 and 64bit modes (was previously only available as 64bit version). Generate your CPU-specific power management SSDT as suggested. You will then gain full CPU SpeedStepping + Turbo boost (if applicable). Select KernelPm in your Clover config to patch the kernel for CPU power management That's all.

Try your initial installation with NullCPUPowerManagement. You can then look at CPU PM in a post-installation phase.

Pike R Alpha's script is used to generate the necessary CPU power management SSDT for your CPU. Without the generated table, you will not gain proper CPU SpeedStep and Turbo boost. May be you can tell us how you obtained, setup and ran the script. Pike's GitHub repo is properly documented in terms of script setup and execution so, one can't normally go wrong if instructions are followed to the letter... Re: USB ports, do you use the USB injector kext ? Do you have USB2.0 and USB3.0 onr only USB3.0. If they're all USB3.0, you may also need to install FakePCIID_XhCI_Mux to support USB2/USB3 multiplexing on your ports.

Don't confuse Ivy Bridge integrated graphics HD4000 with Haswell integrated graphics HD4400/4600/etc. Although some general principles apply to all generations of framebuffers (eg: framebuffers indexes, connector types), HD4000 stuff is irrelevant and not applicable to Haswell platforms. It's critical to understand that despite an apparent (but incorrect) link in terms of numbers (4 thousands), these are different generations of integrated graphics. JakeLo gave you a link to my Haswell graphics patching guide in post #2 and the guide clearly states limitations encountered from Sierra 10.12.3 and these are also stated in post #3. Not much I can add, I'm afraid... Something changed in the Azul framebuffer (or elsewhere) after early versions of Sierra and this no longer supports multiple displays with DVI output. HDMI and DP remain Ok though.

BCM4312 is one of those cards no longer supported; there is no workaround. It's not a matter of (re)branding, there are no drivers for those Brooadcom chips and older drivers do not work under Sierra.

Quite possible if you have an Alps v8 or similar.

That does not support HDMI audio. It's best to stick with patched AppleHDA.

You can expect this E6420 to work 100% under Mavericks 10.9.5. You may consult this thread for details and for the bootpack which contains all necessary add-on kexts. SD card reader will work OOK once you apply the necessary DSDT patch detailed here. For keyboard, refer to this thread and this one. Broadcom BCM4313 chip is not supported and has to be replaced by a supported card. See here for details. You can also update your BIOS to the latest version A24.

Obviously, you do NOT install a patched kext from El Capitan in a High Sierra build. Apply the patches, as described, to the vanilla High Sierra Azul kext.

Just took the old D620s out of retirement to verify behaviour and can 100% confirm the need for docking station/port replicator.
