yeah that would be like a d620 nvidia model. nvidia Quadro NVS 110M, 120M do not support cuda so no ML. well not with graphics acceleration. lion should work though.

What to do? Install SL DVD 10.6.3 Retail from Apple Store
Bronxteck replied to maclaud's topic in The Archive
sometimes you have to break it a few times to understand whats going on. definitely a learning experience. but you will be a pro in no time! -
if it's similar to the D620/D820's especially if graphics wise then it does not natively support those nvidia or GMA graphics on ML. what graphics do you have? you might have to look at ML post factor. herve has has a lot of success with that. he posted a few tutorials for the d series on the forum

Display backlight Driver for Asus Notebooks
Bronxteck replied to EMlyDinEsH's topic in Miscellaneous
you might have to backup then remove the original AppleACPIPlatform.kext from s/l/e when using EMlyDinEsH's kext. they might be conflicting and breaking kernel cache generation. then rebuild your kernel cache. 04.10.2013 00:07:30,000 kernel[0]: considerRebuildOfPrelinkedKernel com.apple.AsusACPIBackLightPanel triggered rebuild -
the only thing i can think of is if you have an existing extra folder. is that chameleon changed the naming of com.apple.Boot.plist to org.chameleon.Boot.plist new version of chameleon responds to org. naming. Mod cd might still be using the com. naming there both the same file just some one decided to change the name for some reason.

would be the simplest option. and just incase something does happen at least you have an image of it. you can try resizing existing partition windows to make room for osx and see where that leads to. but you would need an MBR patch for the osx installer. you can google for that.
-
theres also a chameleon plugin for that. sata.dylib (orange icon fix) you can use chameleon wizard to add the module.
-
then you will probably have to clone windows back using something like clonzilla to a partition on the SSD since you would have to do it any ways if switching to SSD.
-
try with latest chameleon it has changed alot since last year.

[SOLVED] Chameleon bootloader not working on 4k HDD
Bronxteck replied to JTylerBlake's topic in Bootloaders
im guessing you have to have the file boot1h in /usr/standalone/i386/ directory first for it to work. so dd can copy and write it to where it needs to be. -
sure you can tell him to go play in traffic!!! lol thats a good tip

ok pmset issue fixed update edp

you can try reading up on the newer versions of chameleon there injecting HD graphics from the boot loader using flags.
-
you need to do a low level format of your usb stick. then try using a clone utility to image the DVD to usb. after that you will need a boot loader installed to the usb stick with you Extra files that pertain to your machines setup.

Anyone installed 10.8.5 successfully on their E65xx?
Bronxteck replied to daspazz's topic in The Archive
have you tried chameleon version rev 2263? quote: Embedded the HDAEnabler injector from module. (The modules is not needed anymore REMOVE IT). and from Help.txt HDAEnabler=Yes | No Automatic device properties generation for audio controllers. HDEFLayoutID= Inject alternate value of layout-id for HDEF (HEX). HDAULayoutID= Inject alternate value of layout-id for HDAU (HEX). what I'm not sure of is if you have to strip HDA from DSDT. -
there are cases where you need to remove some kexts from S/L/E if you have the same kext in E/E if not it breaks kernel cache generation. my hack does not compensate for that.
-
it should work fine efi partition is fat 32.
-
what os are you building the installer in i believe 10.5 leopard does not work to make installers it has to be 10.6.x or higher.

E6410 with nVidia NVS 3100M graphics - Mountain Lion Guide
Bronxteck replied to v3ct0r's topic in The Archive
yeah pretty much all wrong.. myhack will do the transfer of e/e to s/l/e so just put what you need in e/e. then remove the s/l/e doubles from that KW injected into s/l/e. run a myfix full and should be all set. -

Bronxteck replied to v3ct0r's topic in The Archive
well mixing my hack and kw can lead to issues. if kw is kext wizard it puts things in s/l/e directly where as my hack uses a kext to inject into s/l/e you might have double kexts. you have to choose one of the methods and stick to it. then look for double kexts. if you need to use an older kext that has the same name in s/l/e then you have to either remove the one you do not wish to use or replace it. -

you can also do a sudo touch System/Library/Extensions and watch console to see if it's generating -

it probably did not generate one. you have to look in E/E and see if there is a similar named kext already existing in s/l/e if so back it up and remove it then do a my fix.
