http://www.cnet.com/laptops/dell-precision-m6300-mobile/4507-3121_7-32762699.html i did not find a Dell precision 6300 but i did find Dell precision M6300 it states it uses 667.0 MHz / PC2-5300. but i think you need 800mhz ram for an 8 gig kit as i do not think 667 ram came in an 8 gig option. as far as the HDD it is sata so you should be able to upgrade to a bigger drive or SSD. but i am going by the info for a Dell precision M6300.

yes you remove nullcpu and sleep enabler. then run a myfix to rebuild.

what dell bios version are you at? latest dell bios?

have you tried the fakesmc modding and smbios guide?

any way to get it to compile for 32 bit. it fails on build with xcode or make BITS=3264 in snow, lion, ml or mav

that drive might need a newer firmware update. or needs to be re seated into the machine

voodooohda 2.8.3 or .4 works well why not try that. you might have to edit the plist in the kext to customize for your machine.

hmm maybe that is the variable we cant figure out. some machines work some do not. i never thought of the ram being the issue. but i guess it can.

well does it work in bios setup or boot? as for testing .... you would have to test with a known good inverter board.or swap your inverter to a known working screen. no real way to test a CFL tube inside the screen directly.

well check in bios it would either state it has a gma graphics or nvidia. a10 is latest bios

what bios are you at? d620 is a supported machine it should work well

that is a chameleon graphics enabler issue.... it has the wrong id's for your video card. according to your pictures you have 4500mhd 0x2a42 and 0x2a43 not x3100. as of yet the card is not fully supported in osx. also we do not use iFail.

what cpu does your laptop have.... if it's not core 2 duo it might be your issue... also what graphics does it have. you have to choose the boot pack accordingly. look to your bios for the info.

i get a black box for some images yet the tab preview shows the image. so at least you get colors

Well there are Differences in the methods.... myhack uses E/E. it transfers the kext into SLE after a bit of version bumping into a self contained kext plus then it rebuilds your caches. kext installer apps just dump the kext as is into SLE. and rebuild caches. so i would either stick to myhack or th the other installer app. not use both.

well one Extra is smaller then the other so whats missing?

well on some machines you have to tape pin 20 of the wlan card. as for dsdt i dont think so. i know you want a simple solution as would i but hacking sometimes involves just that.

-x is safe boot so not all kexts load... you need to look into what kext is interfering and causing the issue. if you have duplicate kexts in e/e and s/l/e then that would be a good start to troubleshoot your issues. you might have to remove the s/l/e version back it up just in case you need to put it back then run a myfix to rebuild your cache.

there is a thread about the issue on the forum you have to replace a file also. i do not recall what it is off the top of my head it's something that ends in a "d"
