The issue is not with Clover, it's MacOS not supporting certain NVMe drives.

Try repairing permissions and rebuild cache You'll need to unlock the drive first, see FAQ here If still failed, then attach debug file

USB issue, not detecting your installer. Here, replace the contents into /EFI/Clover If you're installing the latest 10.15.4, make sure you have the latest Clover v5107 installed E5570_Catalina.zip

Here's my whole Clover folder, added a few more patches, hopefully fix the 4K display too I read that CoreDisplayFixup.kext enables 4K, but that's already part of the latest Whatevergreen.kext Precision 5510.zip

Just read through this thread and notice you were trying to install Mojave and Catalina. Not sure which one you tried with the Config I added for the NVMe for Catalina. I just added a second patch for Mojave if that's what you have been trying to install. The new patch should work for Sierra to Mojave. config.plist.zip

Sorry for not getting a better experience with the Hack. You probably need to do a more thorough research before getting another NVMe drive. These are a few brand that's been know to need the block size swap patch to work: Plextor, LiteOn, Hynix, Intel, Toshiba.. You can read more about this issue here

No need to quote on your replies. If it doesn't work, try DSDT3.aml instead. Once Nvidia is disabled, your battery duration should extend a bit. As Hervé mentioned, there's no support for Nvs5200m beyond El Capitan. So if you prefer to use the NVidia, you'll need to install El Capitan but battery duration will be very low.

Yeah, for some reason this model takes a long time to post before loading Clover which is then pretty quick. I had posted the workaround since Sierra. Seems it's still necessary to date. Looks like you already have all the files needed in the EFI you attached. You just need to boot with DSDT1.aml So rename DSDT.aml to something meaningful like DSDT-Optimus.aml and rename DSDT1.aml to DSDT.aml Reboot. It should have the nvidia disabled.

Good job! I never had to use that boot switch. Yes, HDMI should work with the files I uploaded. What is the resolution of the monitor? It shouldn't take that long to boot, make sure to remove verbose mode now that you have the system booted normally.

It's booting to a stage where it's about to access your NVMe drive and failed. If you have an external drive, you could try installing to that as a test of the installer. You might still have to disable the NVMe drive though. Samsung PM961 is supported as is the WD (WDC PC SN720 SDAQNTW-512G-1001) I'm currently using. To be safe, you can opt for a Sata SSD Another thing you could test, is disable or remove the NVMe drive and try if you could boot all the way with the installer.

Video is worst than the 1st, but I was able to get the KP from the 1st video after some patience. It's pointing to IONVMEFamily.kext which means you might be having some issue with your NVMe drive. Try this Config file, added a patch for block size swap. If it still KP, add -igfxvesa. If that also failed, replace your NVMe drive with a supported model. config.plist.zip

From your video, the error occurred at 50 sec. It's too blurry to see what the exact kext that's causing the KP

Don't know what's bombing out since all the important info is above those messages. Can you post the KP log file?

Have you tried booting with an external monitor and see if it'll load? You can try raising the DVMT value to 128MB see here for instruction

MacOS version is not the issue. I have HD 530 fully supported with resolution 1920x1080 on this same system. You could try faking igplatform-id of a desktop which seems to have 4k support.

So I assumed you have installed Clover and copy the Clover folder over from the USB installer? The reason graphics issue is due to booting with -igfxvesa. Have you tried booting without that switch? Make sure to build kextcache before rebooting. sudo kextcache -i / SD Card reader is not supported yet, there's development of a kext but has long been idle. Replace your wifi with a DW1560, DW1830 or DW1820a (with patches)
