well clover can boot osx recovery hd partition if you have one created.
-
well you have to now install a bootloader to the hard drive. unless you do not mind booting off the usb stick. it should be the same procedure you did to get it on the pen.
-
delete the genericusb and run myfix. you might have to do it in terminal if you do not have a backup os on the machine

DELL Optiplex 9020 - trouble installing Yosemite
Bronxteck replied to Julio Bernardo's topic in The Archive
well seeming as that drive has been giving issues since the beginning maybe it needs a firmware update and or a dell bios update as well. or the drive is some how defective? or needs to be re seated or tested on a different sata port. it really seems like a hardware incompatibility issue. i had a Optiplex 9010 that would eat hard drives total of 3 for no apparent reason even with a new power supply. replaced the board and no more issues.- 67 replies

what is that sle thats showing there? and why does it have a battery manager kext if it's a desktop? you can probably do away with the ps2 kext if it does not have a ps2 port or your not using a ps2 keyboard.- 67 replies

Bronxteck replied to krzysztofc10's topic in The Archive
if you know how to use clover then you can disregard the oem folder and just place the files where they usually go. acpi folder for acpi and kext in the os version folder. and the config file in the clover folder. -

DELL Optiplex 9020 - trouble installing Yosemite
Bronxteck replied to Julio Bernardo's topic in The Archive
not sure why. try doing a repair first on the drive with disk utility if possible. you might have to do it from the osx installer. also make sure your sata is in ahci mode in bios not raid.- 67 replies

DELL Optiplex 9020 - trouble installing Yosemite
Bronxteck replied to Julio Bernardo's topic in The Archive
you need to boot your windows media in efi installer mode. when you boot you have to press i think f12 on dell to see the bootable disks. the list has to show usb efi or cd efi which will coincide with the media your using to install from. if your booting an iso from like isolinux or grub that won't show the efi option in the menu. so make sure your using a properly made windows installer.- 67 replies

upek used to make a version of protector suite for osx but that software has a huge security flaw in which it makes all your passwords available to steal so kinda makes it useless as a security feature.

try without AppleACPIPlatform.kext also x3100 graphics are 32bit only but there is no support for it in that version of osx also the kernel is 64bit. -

t410s throttling problem (usually just shut down after several minutes)
Bronxteck replied to aingard's topic in The Archive
you probably should check if the gpu heat sink needs fresh compound and maybe copper shims while you clean it out. also try finding an smbios profile closer to your graphics card if possible.
