You have the 1st gen i3 with Intel HD 5700mhd graphics. It's important you state your full specs, not just i3. There's many generation of i3 processors. Knowing this, we could have help you quicker. Remove AppleIntelHDGraphics* from S/L/E & repair permission, that should get it booted. You'll need to determine if you have eDP or LVDS connection. See here.

New guide for E6530 with Optimus Enable. DSDT turns disables nvidia and enables the Intel HD 4000. This enables sleep and power management. Con: Loses HDMI video and audio. Will need further development, but a good start. Enjoy

This hack will disable nvs5200m with DSDT and allow sleep with HD 4000! Specs: BIOS A13 | i7-3720QM 2.6Ghz | 8GB DDR3 | nvs5200M/HD 4000 -1600x900 | 256GB SSD | Rebranded Dell DW1510 | Mavericks 10.9.4| Sleep:Yes Credits: Special thanks to Conti for myHack EMlyDinEsH for the patched DSDT/SSDT and AppleHDA Zenith432 for USB 3.0 qwerty12 for DisableIntelTurboBoost for Power Management bpedman, sontrg, yeahoon, npjohnson & rehabman for Alps Touchpad Developers of Chameleon Working: Full QE/CI Keyboard /Touchpad/ Trackstick Keyboard Backlit IDT Audio Wifi - replaced Intel Card with DW1510 (rebranded) Intel LAN USB 3.0 Webcam Not Working: HDMI Video and Audio (might be tied to nvidia card) Intel Wireless ( replace with compatible one) Before we start- Set BIOS to Default, then go back and change Sata Operation to AHCI and Enable Optimus in Video Let's get started... I use the myhack method for this build, so follow instructions to build your USB installer, set BIOS settings and run the OSX Installation from here http://myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/ After creating your USB installer, run myHack again Select Install Extra and point to the Extra folder attached Extra.zip Boot up system with USB installer disk with the -v switch (use USB 2.0 port on the left or the eSata port, USB 3.0 ports don't always work) Format the HDD per instruction from myHack (GPT and Journaled) Select "Use my Own" when prompt and point to the Extra folder in the root of the USB installer drive Delete the (3) files when prompted System will automatically restart when finish. Remove the USB installer drive Complete the Installation ( if you get Invalid Partition Table during boot - just hit enter to continue) After logging on: in System Preferences Enable Clicking for Trackpad Allow apps downloaded from: Anywhere for Security & Privacy Launch myHack, Install Chameleon to fix the "Invalid Partition Table" error Notes: Replace SSDT in Extra if you have an i7-3740QM SSDT_i7-3740QM.zip 4.8KB 105 downloads Make sure BIOS is at A13, Optimus disables after reboot if BIOS is at A12 Artifacts occur if Optimus is enabled and BIOS is higher than A13 Fixes: If you encounter error above when playing a DVD movie the first time, replace DVDPlayback.FrameWork in System/Library/Frameworks. Don't forget to backup first. JL

Don't patch MBR during the USB Installer build stage.
-
Ok, nvidia card. See this guide.
-
Your graphics is not loading. Again, need your system specs? Nvidia or Intel graphics? If nvidia, try booting with GraphicsEnabler=No -v -f
-
Please list your system specs. Intel wireless is not supported, needs to be replaced. Run lspci -nn from terminal and output that here.

Use bootpack from Herve's guide here. You have the same specs as his except CPU. Use SSDT from my bootpack E6220 from my signature below with i5-2520m. Report your result.

Wow, you've been busy. No Extra_ML if you want to build Mountain Lion and Extra_Mav is you want to build Mavericks. Glad you got it sorted out. Enjoy. If anyone is interested, I'm about to guide up a new guide for E6530/E6430 with Optimus enabled (models with discrete NVS5200m). Sleep is working but lack HDMI Video/Audio which is working if Optimus is disabled but without sleep. You'll have to weigh the benefits of each.
-
Your bios settings is fine. Rebuild your installer without the MBR patch. Once booted into the installer, you can reformat your HDD again with diskutil. Make sure to select partition, then you have the option to change the format to GUID instead of MBR.
-
When building the USB Installer, when prompt to patch MBR, select NO.
-
No, only scrolling, tabbing and swiping. Also you can scroll with the trackstick with the middle mouse like in windows.

Use the new DSDT/SSDT file and leave out the FB. Not sure why it doesn't work for you. As for Yosemite, it's not quite ready for prime time, but I already have it running basically with the same files. Mainly the DSDT/SSDT are most important and not need to be replace. I'll have a new guide for Yosemite once it's public.
-
Replace the dsdt with this one. boot normally without the flags. DSDT.aml.zip
-
See here. I have documented this for my E7x40 series.
-
when you ran the fix, it should create a backup on your desktop, look for a backup folder with the file. Use kextwizard to reinstall to S/L/E and repair permission.
-
Wow-man, if you upgrade to 10.9.4 and ran step 11 - Kexts > Graphics > HD4400/4600 DP/HDMI Freeze (Only on Mavericks 10.9.1 -> 10.9.3) You'll lose QE/CI. Fix only works up to 10.9.3. Restore the vanilla FB, you'll get QE/CI but will encounter HDMI freeze. No known fix for Dell as of yet.
-
As of Yosemite DP7, HD 4600 is not supported. I believe HD 4400 is the same. Hopefully GM is.
-
Hmm, your graphics is not loading. Try DSDT=0 GraphicsEnabler=Yes IntelCapriFB= -v -f where value = 0 to 11 until you find one the works perfectly.
-
Let's make sure you have the right version of FB. Which OS X are you running? You could try removing the patched FB, run my fix quick. Boot with flag DSDT=0 IntelCapriFB=4 -v This allows to boot with vanilla FB for 1600x900. Let me know if you could QE/CI this way.
