  1. Those apps are probably querying the CPU directly through CPUID command, in which case it'll never work on the Precision 670. Irwindale and Paxville Xeon CPUs do not have that instructions set. That does not mean SSSE3 emulation is not there though... In your case, I think you have little choice except switching to different apps or using a more modern machine with a CPU that possess the necessary full instructions set.
  2. That kind of reboot is usually a sign of unsupported vanilla kernel. I suspect you may not have a Core2Duo model… What does your BIOS Device Info page show?
  3. Duff installer maybe. Did you check that your BIOS was configured as per recommended settings in the dedicated pinned thread of this very section? No Intel wireless that you would have kept enabled?
  4. Ha! That's a good old well-known BIOS matter. Basically, it's doing the full/thorough POST checkup, not the quick one. That happens when BIOS thinks a parameter has changed. You can interrupt the checkup by pressing ESC then Enter. This thorough checkup will eventually go away after a full clean shutdown or startup. I recommend you make sure to use the patched AppleRTC kext, though it does not always prevent that long BIOS POST. My Latitude D laptops do that frequently, especially as I switch between different OS X versions.
  5. Does your D430 have a Core2Duo CPU? If so, boot with flags -f -v. If not, you have a 32bit CPU and you're limited to Snow Leopard (Lion and ML need 64bit C2D CPUs minimum). You can only boot 32bit (i.e. with Chameleon option arch=i386) the MLPF installer and/or your "MLPF'ed" ML installation. Naturally, the initial vanilla ML installation is 64bit kernel mode only. As Spock would say, it's only logical...
  6. Then boot with -v and check where it's holding for so long.
  7. At shutdown or startup? Sounds like a cache generation issue...
  8. Trunyce would have used the MLPF guide...
  9. You're mistaken; like all D430, yours has Intel 945GMS chipset which includes GMA950 graphics controller. That's what is meant in the BIOS info: graphics of 945GMS chipset… There's no such thing as GMA945 graphics controller.
  10. Guys, seriously, generate your own SSDT files using RampageDev's tuto (on his blog); it's based on Piker's generator tool. Anyone can do it.
  11. SMC id 1.33f8 is that of MacBoookPro5,1. For MBP5,2, try 1.42f4. Set smc-compatible to smc-mcp. Remember to boot with option kext-dev-mode=1. Also, check Clover FSB option: it should be set to 266000 (KHz). FakeSMC.kext.zip
  12. You've used a really old FakeSMC kext. You may be in a situation where you do not have any CPU power management at all and your T9600 is running at max (or near max) speed all the time, hence high T°. I suggest you use one of Kozlek's latest versions of FakeSMC as they are really really good. Adjust the SMC keys as per documented in the thread on performance tuning. Clover should automatically elect for a suitable MacBookPro profile, presumably MBP 5.1, 5.4 or 5.5, so I would opt for SMC keys that match that model.
  13. You're going to have to be more specific... If the installer does not boot, it could be due to Chameleon not being properly installed, in which case, just re-install it to your USB installer.
  14. Post a copy of your /Extra folder + a picture of your KP and we'll see.
  15. The use of the older AppleAPCIPlatform kext from SL (v1.3.5 from 10.6.7 or v1.3.6 from 10.6.8) is indeed required for Lion and Mountain Lion to avoid KP; it is not usually required for Mavericks as systems normally run perfectly Ok with the vanilla version (v2.0 from memory). I have installed Mavericks on many different Dell systems (D430, D630n, D830n, E6420, E6430, Vostro 200, Precision 670) and never had to revert to the older AppleACPIPlatform kext. Initially (in 2011 - or was it 2012?), this was a fix for CoolBook which stopped working in early versions of Lion unless reverting to what was a the time SL 10.6.7 AppleACPIPlatform kext. If I remember right, Lion 10.7 to 10.7.2 or 10.7.3 could boot with vanilla AppleACPIPlatform kext, but subsequent versions could not. 10.7.4 brought a bit of mayhem when it got out and the older SL AppleACPIPlatform kext fixed the KPs at boot time. I vaguely remember that you could use older Lion versions of that kext but they caused extremely long boots and shutdowns. Maybe things would have worked better if reverting the IOPCIFamily kext too as the two kexts kind of work together. Anyway, that's history now. You'd have to search the forum to get the full story which eludes me a bit 2 to 3 years later...
  16. The first step is to provide info about your bluetooth hardware, i.e. specs... Then you can also use the Search facility on the forum, especially in the dedicated R&D->Hardware->Bluetooth section.

Hamid, this is probably not the best forum for this non-Hackintosh matter. I think the well-known ThinkPad forum is better suited to obtain answers, either on reflow or motherboard replacement.
  18. The nVidia works OOB in SL, Lion, ML and Mavericks, possibly Yosemite too. It's a low-end card, but does the trick for regular desktop/multimedia purposes. You'll just need to specify GraphicsEnabler to Yes in your Chameleon boot plist. The ATI seems to require some adjustments to get fully supported: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/293049-guide-mavericks-amd-radeon-hd5450/ Other than that, both cards seem to be quite comparable: http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=411&gid2=326&compare=radeon-hd-5450-1024mb-vs-geforce-210-1gb
  19. None of those are supported. Whilst you could replace the wireless card by a supported model, you can't replace the graphics chip. Since OS X has no support for GMA 4500MHD, it's not worth wasting time pursuing on hackintoshing this laptop in my opinion.
  20. Boot0:GPT error means Chameleon needs re-installing. It's not loading... You can do that from the myHack menu or run a previously downloaded Chameleon installation package.
  21. Wifi and graphics will only work if they are supported. But you'll have to tell us what hardware these are to get a better answer... We have a non-exhaustive list of supported/unsupported wireless cards in the relevant R&D section of the forum. For graphics, I recommend you have a look at the wiki on InsanelyMac, it has a lot of information on supported equipment.
  22. Did you partition your target HDD in GPT/GUID mode and format the target partition as Mac OS Extended (journaled) before starting the actual installation?
  23. myHack does not in any way include or provide any hardware monitoring app or features. It's purely an installer tool. As such, thread has moved. Hardware monitoring can be provided by add-on app such as HWMonitor, itself used in conjunction with the right FakeSMC kext. There is information about this all over the forum. See here for instance. I recommend you look for Kozlek's latest package (or one of his recent ones) on his sourceforge repository. Depending on your hardware, you will get more or less information reported and, as one might expect, there is usually far less info reported on laptops than on desktops: PS: it's mommy's board, brothers just live among us!
  24. Your problems are different than in the thread you referred to. You appear to have either a corrupt or an incorrect kernel/kext cache, so I'd start by simply rebuilding it, either through myFix (quick) or through command line (sudo touch /S/L/E and/or sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel). Also, try and replace the myfix exec inside myHack v3.3.1 by the attached corrected version. That will correct inability to display extensions in SysProfiler. myfix.zip
