You can use SMBIOS for MacBookPro (6,1)/(6,2) with SMC keys 1.57f18/1.58f17 and smc-piketon. GeForce GT 330M is based on same nVidia chip as Quadro NVS 3100M, so GPU PM should be the same.
-
Read the article & thread about Performance Tuning and try things out. I don't think you needed to do that AGPM kext patching at all.
-
Have you done the FakeSMC/SMBIOS tuning? If not, look it up and do the tuning.
-
Fair enough about 1.69F4 then, but I have other documents that stated 1.69F3 and it worked well on the HP mobile workstation I tested this on. 1.69F4 could be an Apple update of course... You can google for those various battery management kexts or look them up on Hackintoshosx.org (ex kexts.com). For instance: http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/file/183-applesmartbatterymanager-kext/
-
Use the instructions published in my similar thread for D630 in this very section.
-
SMC keys for MBP8,2 should be 1.69f3 not 1.69f4. You selected DualLink in your boot plist, was BackLight not sufficient? Your DVD issues will be linked to your graphics problem. For battery management, there are several kexts: Voodoo but also some Apple, so if one does not seem to work well, you can always try another.

OS X Mavericks won't boot after update of chameleon

Who knows? Last version I use on my D Series is r2377. I think it was the last version downloadable before the repo server went tits up. boot-r2377.zip -
OS X Mavericks won't boot after update of chameleon
Hervé replied to neverly1's topic in The Archive
Did you try to boot with -v to see where things stop? If you think it's Chameleon related, try and boot through a myHack USB key and re-install an older version of Chameleon. -
Erm… read the post! For update: no procedure, update either through Apple Menu->Software update or through Apple's 10.8.5 combo update. It's entirely up to you.

Look on the web for recovery solutions. I don't know if they exist for your Lenovo X201, but they certainly do exist for some Dell laptops, so you never know... Eg: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/870-Bios-Recovery-Procedures/page139?p=779644&viewfull=1#post779644

There you are: replace your /Extra/Extensions + Boot plist + SMBIOS plist by those in the attached archive. you probably have PSMenu in /Library/LaunchAgents, delete it, it'll no longer be required because you'll now have native CPU and GPU power management. run myFix (quick) and reboot. if you have IDA enabled in BIOS, disable it (you have a Merom CPU). Tuned_Archiv.zip Use the attached HWMonitor app if you want to monitor CPU+GPU T°, speed, voltage, etc. It goes with the tuned FakeSMC you'll now have. HWMonitor.zip PS: you can safely update to 10.8.5.

Ouh, that's a messy build! There are kexts that I've never even seen on a D Series nVidia (like that totally useless Intel FrameBuffer kext). 'will provide you with a proper and tuned up build in a few minutes...

Please indicate your D830 specs (model, screen res), the OS X version you're using and post a zipped copy of your /Extra folder. If you've used EDP, do not post your entire /Extra folder, only the following subset: Chameleon boot plist SMBios plist Extensions folder If you have a Bluetooth module, please indicate the model. Thanks.

Unfortunately, your GTX 660M will remain unsupported because of old Optimus issue...

Full size DW1390, DW1490 and DW1395/7 (on clear networks) work in Mavericks. I use them all. The inventory does make mention of reported problems with ½-size cards, but I've never had one to play with.
-
Use the Extra below. Basically, it's the Extra folder of my LoRes D630 X3100 running 10.7.5, where the DSDT file has been replaced by that of the D830 X3100 LoRes. It has everything, no EDP required afterwards. D830_X3100_LoRes_Extra.zip

On a T7500, make sure IDA is disabled in BIOS (or system will run 10% slower than expected speeds). Follow the recommended settings for performance tuning (files and SMC keys are provided). Reported speed at 1.2GHz is just a cosmetic matter. Run myFix (quick) or rebuild your permissions with Disk Utility and you would find that you'd be back with a reported speed of 2.2GHz at next reboot; but it may change back to 1.2GHz. I can't remember how I fixed this on my D630s before. Wireless with DW1395 will only work on clear networks. For encrypted networks, you'll have to swap for a fully compatible card like some Atheros. Refer to the inventory posted in R&D section for details.

I don't see anything wrong in the boot plist although I guess you should not use the 1920x1200x32 graphics mode at startup. Low res is 1280x800x32. You could also tick Ethernet built-in (will save you hassle with AppStore for instance) and set System Type to laptop. One place where you can safely grab the D830 LoRes DSDT is the guide for ML on D830 X3100. I can vouch for it, I made that pack myself when I tested the installation. Can you list the contents of your /Extra folder?
-
D830 or D630? It's not clear... Could be a wrong DSDT file.
-
Probably graphics not initialising and Intel GMA500 will not be supported. You'll need a supported discrete graphics card.
-
Well, sounds like you'll need a reinstall actually and that'll require to make a new USB installer then...
-
That error usually means the EDP download did not complete properly, I'd recommend you redownload EDP and reinstall it. Opt to view the details to keep an eye on download & install process.

Mavericks 10.9 installation issue on Dell Inspiron 5520
Hervé replied to saurabhsehrawat's topic in The Archive
For that kind of error, you may want to try the additional Chameleon boot option: npci=0x2000 or npci=0x3000. -
Try this one: D830n_SL_Extra.zip Tested on D630n Ok (with DSDT change of course). Once you've updated to SL 10.6.8, you can remove NullCPUPowerManagement from /E/E and re-run myFix (quick). You'll be on native speedstep then.
