  1. some models came with a higher resolution screen then standard 1280x800.
  2. check your bios settings for IDA (Intel Dynamic Acceleration) and turn it off.
  3. you have to run in arch=i386 mode as that graphics is 32 bit no graphics accel on 64 bit
  4. you probably need to put the original kexts you removed/replaced back then. also check your bios info for graphics as i see it shows as an nvidia for some reason. which if it really is GMA graphics it should not unless you have some injectors/kexts that don't belong. d620 did come with an nvidia mobo also so you might be using the wrong boot pack/ dsdt.
  5. just add the dsdt to your existing install? maybe some of the other files if you need em?
  6. what is your native screen resolution?
  7. try adding our boot pack http://www.osxlatitude.com/edp/compatibility/ yours would be Dell Latitude D620, Intel GMA950 graphics (1440x900)
  8. we use rweverything to dump the ACPI tables like ssdt's and dsdt.
  9. nope... you might want to look at the ac wifi cards or the wifi threads on the forum.
  10. test with one ram module at a time in case one is bad or not seated properly. also reset bios to defaults then turn on ahci mode for sata if you have the option.
  11. for the memory issue can you try 2377 with the boot flag ForceFullMemInfo=Yes from chameleon help menu states "ForceFullMemInfo=Yes Force SMBIOS Table 17 to be 27 bytes long (disabled by default)."
  12. your probably having issues with graphics. see if adding -x flag allows it to load in vesa mode. you would have to research more on your machines graphics.
  13. it means it most likely might need replacement.... in the case of wifi most of the models that have that icon come with intel wifi which apple never supported.
  14. have you tried adding the chameleon module for Sata into the Extra/modules folder?
  15. I may have a problem with the integrated (Intel GMA 950) graphics? Is it not able to run in 64-bit mode? answer is no apple did not continue support for it. only in 10.6.2 did it have 64 bit but it did not work properly and apple abandoned it. as for the x1400 it also might be 32 bit. but that one i don't know of the top of my head. snow leopard and lion do support 32 bit though.
  16. solution is here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922976
  17. what version of chameleon are you on? update to newest if possible.
  18. see if jake's solution for dvd playback works for you https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/5943-dell-latitude-e6520-e6420-with-optimus-enabled-mavericks/&do=findComment&comment=32152
  19. you can try VLC or an older dvd player app. there should be one floating around the forum some laptops need it
  20. have a look here http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1839 or here http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/kext-editing/editing-applegraphicspowermanagement-kext/
  21. well if looking to go with 64 bit you need to research the graphics for 64 bit compatability with osx.
  22. did you use mbr patch ? if you do not have xcode previously installed it will give you issues. you can google for other mbr patch or install using guid partition mapping
  23. in bios see if you have the sata option of ahci
  24. try adding npci=0x2000 at boot and if you have vt-d enabled in bios shut it off and ahci enabled for sata. also what machine and hardware are we dealing with. spec wise.
