Dear madmax, Have you tried voodoohda.kext for sound? Cheers!
-
Dear adam, Have you ran myfix full mode on the os x partition? Cheers!
-
Dear Tengokuu, There is an updated SleepEnabler.kext just released by voodoo project for Mountain Lion. You can give it a try. Cheers!
-
Dear Adam, Have you installed the bootpack for your D620? Are you booting from usb or the hard disk? It seems that NullCPUPowerManagement.kext is not installed in your /Extra/Extensions. Go to /Extra/Extensions and see if the kext is installed. Cheers!
-
Dear adam, Use Finder to locate the kext either in /Extra/Extensions or /System/Library/Extensions and delete it. After that rerun myfix full mode. Chees!

Lion on Dell Optiplex 755 with Radeon X1300 128 MB

Dear bugs, Thanks for your deep insight above. I did hoped less but your post above was much more and better. As always, community effort is always the best for the kind of works we are doing. One could only start the ball rolling but needs a team to score I'll definitely test out what you mentioned and update EDP accordingly. Great stuff bugs. I think you're the best person to start a new topic on testing & running Mountain Lion on Optiplex 755. Do consider as we need to extend our machine support to ML now. By the way, you can read my previous post on answers to you questions above. Do let me know if you need more info. Also, the Extra pack that i compiled for Optiplex 755 is already in EDP. You'll need to download EDP3 or update it to try it. As you pointed out its now work in progress. Cheers! -

Dear peter, Did you managed to get all the system states when you had lion install on your optiplex 755? Did you managed to get sleep to work? Cheers! -
Dear seb, You don't need to reinstall os x. Just try all the different ps2 kext in EDP. Cheers!
-
Dear air, You model and graphics card should be supported by EDP. Try to update to latest EDP and confugure it again. Cheers!

Dear samgooi, Nice find mate. Cheers.

Lion on Dell Optiplex 755 with Radeon X1300 128 MB
Syonagar replied to Syonagar's topic in The Archive
Dear bugs, My optiplex 755 is using the latest bios version 21. I've used camillo-maldon dsdt.aml for EDP. You can trace the work that was done on that from the link is my first post. So far my attempt to extract my dsdt.aml and applying patch from olarila for optiplex 755 has caused waiting for root device issue which i have not been able to resolved. The dsdt.aml from peter above is just another version that i tried hoping that my acpi system states issues may be resolved and i can use that to compare with maldon-camillo's. However, it did not made any difference. So i'm back to square one in getting sleep to work. Cheers! -

Bugs, I attached the dsdt.aml that i received from Peter for your testing. So far, i still have not been able to get all the system states with that dsdt.aml. Still the same as the stock dsdt.aml used in EDP (a.k.a. maldon-camilo's). So i'm guessing it may not be dsdt issue. Speed step works fine voodoopstate.kext and pstatemenu.app in EDP. I've even confirmed the number of steps and frequencies with coolbook (only 2 steps is available since its a desktop). Cheers! dsdt - peter.aml.zip -
Lion on Dell Optiplex 755 with Radeon X1300 128 MB

Dear Bugs, It quite ironic really, although my ATI kexts are all running at 64 bit, the natit.kext that is required for graphics injection is only 32 bit. Unless i can find a 64 bit kext or use other method like dsdt or cham injection, i'm stuck on 32 bit mode. I'll post Peter dsdt.aml here later for members to try out. From my initial testing, my system state still only display one s0 state. Cheers! -
Dear evilmrt, You do not need to reinstall the os x if it was installed properly the first time. The only difference between a vanilla install and hack install is the /Extra folder. Just delete the /Extra folder and revert to your backup if you have one. Otherwise, just download a bootpack closes to your machine and install using myhack in the usb installer. Cheers!
-
Dear Madmax, Unfortunately it seems myHack still does not support installation media from retail USB yet. You will need to use xfail to transfer the installation files to a usb installer. Just make sure you remove problematic kext, install Extra bootpack from your machine and run myfix full mode using myhack utilities. Cheers!
-
Dear johe, What is your system specifications? Cheers!
-
Dear wabley, You just need to generate a random serial using software like champlist or cham wiz for your smbios.plist and you be good to go. Cheers!
-
Dear Razmaz, Just attach your smbios.plist file in the /Extra and we can check what it is. Cheers!
-
Dear air, What do you mean by fully working? I believe one of our crew with similar machine and EDP has it ran nicely Cheers!
-
Dear rjjd, Are you using the nvdia model of the d630? For your information, information intel model does work but need to add 64 bit graphics kexts from 10.6.7 if im not mistaken. However, there is no full graphics acceleration. Cheers!
-
Dear Mefte, Can you post your E6420 extra extensions, smbios.plist and dsdt, aml for us to have look and other members to test and hopefully further refine it? Cheers!

Lion on Dell Optiplex 755 with Radeon X1300 128 MB

Dear Herve, The Optiplex 755 has an intel q35 chipset with built-in intel gma 3100 graphics card (not similar to the laptop model x3100 in case you wondering). Yes. Your ATI graphics card will be injected just nicely by the natit.kext. Just make sure the dev id is in or included in the ATIX1300Controller.kext and ATIRadeonX1000.kext. You'll be suprise how tought is that kext although it was ment for leopard. Dear xargon, Yes. We have tried those kernel flags. What i notice is that I just have one s0 system state. It should be at least a few including s3 which is the standby system state. I'm thinking it has something to do with the dsdt.aml. However, so far i have not found anything wrong with it. Nonetheless, i did received a different dsdt.aml from peter which im going to test and compare. Cheers! -
Dear wambley, Thats true for mountain lion. The built-in intel graphics card is not supported. So yes if you can afford, do get a better and supported machine. Cheers!
