  1. DVD player says "HD Unsupported" You'll get that if your system doesn't have a physical DVD device. Same on a real Mac
  2. Your card is not supported, see below or click on the Unsupported link. Unsupported: Vendor Model Format Ven-Dev id Chip Rate SL L ML Mav Yos Cap OOB Kext (driver) Dell DW1705 1/2 Mini PCIe 168c-0036 AR9565 B/G/N N N N N N N N For Audio, after you copy the kexts to /L/E, did you run the permission fix and rebuild cache? What is the output after you ran the commands?
  3. Try this. Replace the Config and all the DSDT/SSDT, boot without cache. Malevolus.zip
  4. Boot to Clover GUI, hit the F4 key. Then compress and upload /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Origin folder. I'll have to repatch the files since your model has the nvidia discrete card too.
  5. So DellInc.-A10.rom is the version of your BIOS? Make sure it's not for a different system. My guide is use as an example only. Ok, once you exported the rom file, open the file with UEFITool.exe, not Universal IFR Extractor. Search for Setup. Once you find that, extract PE32 image section(setup.bin). Open the bin with with the Universal IFR Extractor to convert to a txt file Open the txt file with notepad and search for DVMT. This will lead you to the location of the value.
  6. I see you have the E7450A10 bios on your desktop. Your system is not E7450. Use Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0.exe to extract the BIOS from your system, then save it. Then use UEFITool to open the file. Search for SETUP....etc. it's all in the guide.
  7. See my E7450 guide for reference. Mainly you need to check the prerequisite to set DVMT preallocated memory to 96MB. Bootpack for E5458 is in post #2 of the installation guide.
  8. You need the SSDT.aml for power management. It helps enable sleep and battery management. I have not bother with docking station, but you can take a look here. HDMI has been patched already in the config. You could also check Hervé's finding here for HD3000 but you'll have to experiment it with HD4000.
  9. So only thing you did was generate a new SMBIOS serial? are you using the same MBP9,2? For audio, try booting without cache, fix the permission and rebuild cache, then boot normally.
  10. Hmm, I'm not seeing any significant difference. Why don't you go ahead and replace the whole EFI if it's working for you.
  11. Upload your EFi from your installation disk.
  12. Did you read step 14 of 2: Install OS X El Capitan? For sound, make sure to follow steps 6 to 8 of 3: Post-Installation For function keys, I believe it has the same keyboard as E7450. Follow the post install of that guide.
  13. No. You Broadwell system was supported starting at 10.10.5 but not really stable until 10.11.0. So I would suggest go with 10.11.5. In order to have a successful build you'll need to set the preallocation memory to 96MB (DVMT). See my Broadwell guide for starter.
  14. See my E7450 guide under prerequisite. Once you have the DVMT updated, the error will go away.
  15. How do you suppose audio will work if you disabled those hot patches use with AppleHDA_ALC292? Unless you patched AppleHDA itself. What's your output when you ran the commands to repair permission and rebuild cache?
  16. Check system information, under camera and USB to see if it's listed.
  17. Did you generate a new smbios with Clover Config? to fix iMessage, try this -run "uuidgen" in terminal and paste the result into the SmUUID block in the SMBIOS page of Clover Configurator -on the same page, copy and paste the contents of the Serial Number block into the Board Serial Number block, adding 5 random HEX characters (digits) to the end webcam could be an USB issue. I'll have check on that, webcam was working OOB for me the last time I checked though. Will confirm later Docking station will be an USB Issue as well, only on El Capitain, Yosemite won't have this issue due to the way El Capitan injects USB devices
  18. so with my bootpack and DSDT, system will crash? what error did it show when it crashed?
  19. So you're using the E6430 bootpack? It does include a patched DSDT, but it depends on you display resolution. If the display is 1366x768, you should use the E6230 bootpack instead.
  20. Is there a particular bootpack you were using? do you have a patched DSDT?
  21. See here, assuming you're using a dummyHDA. Look under 10.11.4. If you don't see you kexts, then you could update yours.
  22. Move your memory stick from slot B to slot A if you only have 1
