How did you install ML on your system? Which method? You CPU could be unrecognised because of the boot loader you use. Which is it, which version? Regarding audio, which version of VoodooHDA do you use? Did you try to edit the kext's plist to increase parameter iGain to say 90 or 100?
-
No. If you don't use myHack, don't use myFix but proceed with your usual method (kext wizard, manual installation or other).
-
Only Qualcomm or Apple write these kexts... Conclusion: it's not supported in Mavericks since it's not compatible with 10.9's Atheros40 kext. It might have been compatible with Atheros/Atheros21/Atheros40 kexts of SL, L but it's not with ML and Mavericks -> change your card.
-
Please use EDP to do a System Build, this model has been supported for years and years now. This assumes a myHack installation with retail SL copy of course (10.6.0/10.6.3/10.6.8), if not you know what to do. We don't support distros here. For wireless, it'll depend on the card you have; by now everyone should be aware that Intel cards are unsupported... If in any doubts, look at the non-exhaustive wireless cards inventory in R&D->Hardware->wifi section of the forum.

If VoodooHDA does not work, try the patched STAC9205 audio pack.

You don't need kext wizard and you should avoid that tool on a myHack installation as they can conflict. Copy the Atheros40 kext to Desktop, edit it to add your PCI entry (if missing), then move it to /E/E and run myFix (quick). That way, your patch will always be kept even after an OS X update. Otherwise, the kext is likely to be overwritten and your patch lost. Basically, do as explained in post 2#! I can't be clearer than that... PS: the kext I attached already contains the PCI id 168c,2b. Didn't you see that ?
-
1st of all, start by identifying the model of trackpad your laptop is fitted with: ALPS or other. Then you can use the relevant pack.
-
Well, it seems it does not like the PS2 kexts you're currently using. You should try another PS2 pack.
-
Mm, which output port are you using on the GT610? I know DVI + VGA work ok (and simultaneously for dual screen mode) but never tried the HDMI.
-
Erm… we do not write Qualcomm Atheros kexts, no. Try to patch the Atheros40 as shown in the EDP google source code you found: copy the original kext to Desktop, edit its Info.plist file then place the edited kext in /E/E and run myFix (quick). You should always try and leave vanilla kexts "as is" in /S/L/E. If patching remains ineffective, then that card could prove to be unsupported. Or maybe it'll work, but only on clear networks.

I don't think so, no... Since you're having this issue booting your installer, I'd say Chameleon is not installed properly on your USB key. Try to manually add it with myHack (or a Chameleon package). Did you partition & format your USB key GUID?
-
GraphicsEnabler=Yes, not graphicsenabler=yes...
-
Then reboot straight with the flag and option I just specified. You enter those after pressing a key when you see the Chameleon delay bar.
-
Can you see the card when you do lspci -nn Terminal command? Assuming you do, reboot with flag -f and option GraphicsEnabler=Yes, then re-run myFix (quick) to rebuild your kext cache.
-
In the BIOS, set the video/init Display 1st to PCIex(press). Use the pinned Vostro 200 BIOS thread as a reference.
-
You gotta do a search on the forum on "boot:0" or "4K" boot sector to find the fix to that issue.
-
Try the attached. Note that it contains the patched Broadcom kext for DW1395/DW1397 wireless card + the patched CSR Bluetooth kext to support manual activation/deactivation of DW350/DW360 BT modules through Finder bar BT icon. These 2 kexts should be deleted if not applicable to you. Otherwise, please note that the pack contains: - patched DSDT (you may need to edit it to reflect your own wireless card: look in System Report -> PCI cards) - tuned FakeSMC + Cham boot plist + SMBIOS plist - newer BCM5722D LAN kext to fix the well-known heavy traffic seizure M4300_Extra.zip PS: a DSDT table placed in / or /Extra under filename "dsdt.aml" or "DSDT.aml" does not need to be specified in the Chameleon boot plist. There's no bug in EDP on that matter... Oh, and make sure to stick to BIOS A15!

You can use VoodooHDA v2.7.x or v2.8.x + AppleHDADisabler kexts or the patched STAC pack. These are available through EDP. Otherwise, add the attached kexts to /E/E then run myFix (quick). VoodooHDA.zip
-
Can you please post the output of a lspci -nn Terminal command and specify which CPU you have? There might still be some issues with EDP, so I'll try to give you a dedicated /Extra folder.
-
You simply need to re-run myHack and select the "Create Extra" option in the menu. It's no longer automatic since v3.3.1 (possibly since 3.2), but Conti will probably re-instate it back in the next release.
-
Well, in Lion you can do "detect monitors". Is this a myHack/OSXL Lion installation?
-
On a USB key...
-
The bootpack should be installed with myHack so that you run myFix to fully install the pack. If you follow our guide (available in EDP pages above), you'll have no trouble at all.
-
Well, try a different battery manager as suggested.
