well i think some E aries had issues with newer bios and osx maybe yours is one of them. i don't recall what models they where though off hand. have you tried re downloading the OS and making the pen again sometimes it gets corrupted. also try different usb ports. and if you have intel wifi remove it or shut it off during install. it can cause install hangups.

myhack MBR patch needs xcode command prompt tools installed to work correctly. you can also search for other MBR scripts/patches and apply them if necessary.

Optiplex 745 - 10.9.2 - Storage drives not showing
Bronxteck replied to twitzgall's topic in The Archive
you might need the ioata family kext you are currently using in 10.6.8 in the newer os. -
make sure to have a proper SMBIOS.plist and serial number for your machine also make sure to have nvram.dylib module in Extra/modules folder. chameleon wizard app can help with all the above.
-
why not just make sure it works at all with a supported OS first like snow or lion in 32 bit arch mode then move up to ml. at least then you know you have the correct bunch of kexts and plists.
-
hit the spacebar during chameleon loading and type in -v. post the error.
-
try booting with dart=0 -v flags

no not my hacks fault. kozlec changed the way fakeSMC interacts with it's plugins to do a version check of loaded plugins. if my hack would make the version 9999 instead of 1111 then there is no issue using it in e/e like normal using my hack. but until the new my hack release, use kozlecs new fake SMC in S/L/E if you have to use it. but slices version does not have this version check that kozlec has added.
-
well... kozlec went higher on his new releases then 1111 and the plugins will have issues if set to 1111 as they check for his version numbers. so as i stated. install to s/l/e the new kozlec fakeSMC if you want to use the latest. and remove it from e/e since my fix will make it 1111 which will cause issues. or just use slices branch if you want to put it in e/e.
-
you have to make sure you don't have fakesmc in both e/e and s/l/e if kozleck latest installer already put it in s/l/e remove it from e/e and run a my fix quick. kozlec has changed his version numbers to conflict with current my hack injection. why he did it only kozlec knows

you might need to replace those kexts with newer versions. also try dart=0 flag incase your machine has vt-D set in bios. -
make sure bios has SATA set to AHCI mode. also you might need the aptiofix and asuspm. you might also need to boot with BIOS.aml instead of clover default DSDT.aml if you have not supplied one into the clover ACPI folder patched.

ML will not work native on the d430 as it does not support a 64 bit os due to the graphics card only having 32 bit driver which ML does not contain. last OS supported is lion in 32 bit mode.

the D series used a BT nodule under the keyboard area usually around the left screen hinge area. DW340-DW360 i think.

i believe 7010 is same family as 9010 search the form there should be 9010 here.

yup pretty much. but for testing you can input it manually at the chameleon prompt.
