DW1550: want to know the way to make it work in Catalina
Bronxteck replied to DJKim's topic in The Archive
OC is not like clover if you put kexts in OC/Kext folder you also have to tell OC that you put it in there by using the config plist. maybe that is why you are having issues. -
Dell Vostro 5568: macOS Catalina optimisation

double check your bios settings. you might have to turn on ahci again or might have to reset your bios to defaults and re adjust your settings. like DVMT if that was needed. -

the solution is you have to update your config file to correspond with the version of bootloader you are using. some features where removed and or added / replaced from the version of bootloader you are using and the config you are using. -

Latitude E5440: Combo Jack Audio not Working under Big Sur (OC 0.6.5)
Bronxteck replied to SaemChanif's topic in The Archive
try using only the boot flag alcid= and add the id you are testing to it like alcid=12 remove any alcid's you have in ssdt's or property injections in config. with OC you will need working nvram if not it will not update your alc id as you test different ones. you will have to manually delete the variable from nvram and enter a new nvram value. -
OC will break your installed windows activation as OC will tell the os that is is a mac and not your activated machine

sometimes you have to call apple support to remove you from the spammer blacklist. if you connect with too many different machines as you are by changing values constantly you automatically get black listed by apples servers -

if that does not work you might have to set DVMT in shell. you would have to find the values for your system bios. -
Triple boot with OpenCore (Latitude 7480)
Bronxteck replied to philstopford's topic in Multiple boot
OC and it's patches affect all OS's system wide as opposed to clover only patching for MacOS. and OC was designed that way from it's inception. so most likely windows and all operating systems will always be affected by directly booting OC. if possible boot windows from the bios boot selection menu. -

have you tried any of the other layout id's that hackintool suggests in the drop down box with the blue arrow in your pic? another one might work better. -
make sure to select the installer when it reboots. your nvram might not be fully working so it defaults to booting catalina

hacks do not get very good battery life. 3 hours is kinda good actually. -
depends on the boot loader you use. it would go where ever you would put lets say -v for verbose. https://github.com/acidanthera/AppleALC/wiki/Installation-and-usage
