Dell Latitude 3480: help required to finalise Mojave
Jake Lo replied to gengstapo's topic in The Archive
AppleHDA_ALC255.kext didn't show up in /S/L/E on your last output, did you just add that there? You shouldn't need to add anything to /L/E or /S/L/E other than CodecCommander.kext to /L/E Go ahead and remove AppleHDA_ALC255.kext and VoodooPS2Controller from /L/E and AppleHDA_ALC255.kext from /S/L/E run permission.sh again No need to quote me on the replies. thanks. -
Dell Latitude 3480: help required to finalise Mojave

Exactly what I expected. Don't know what version they are and lots of unnecessary kexts especially AppleHDA_ALC256.kext for Audio. Remove the following from /L/E VoodooTSCSync.kext XHCI-unsupported.kext FakeSMC.kext VoodooPS2Controller.kext NullCPUPowerManagement.kext WhateverGreen.kext FakePCIID.kext USBInjectAll.kext RealtekRTL8111.kext Lilu.kext FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext AppleHDA_ALC256.kext AirportBrcmFixup.kext SATA-unsupported.kext NoTouchID.kext ACPIBatteryManager.kext AppleALC.kext CodecCommander.kext Remove from /S/L/E AppleALC.kext run the permission.sh again and reboot -
[SOLVED] E7470: external display not reactivated after change of input
Jake Lo replied to doctorultra's topic in The Archive
Ok, last I tested I don't remember having the issue you describe. I'll test and report back when I have time. In the mean time you could try updating with my latest Catalina bootpack. Replace the serial # to the new config if you have it working with iMessage...etc https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/9179-dell-latitude-e7x70-clover-uefi-only/?do=findComment&comment=95548 -

Dell Latitude 3480: help required to finalise Mojave
Jake Lo replied to gengstapo's topic in The Archive
Wow, what a mess.Where do I even start? iMac14,2 is for a Desktop, not laptop. You have 5 different ethernet kexts, not sure which one is the one that fixed your LAN issue. NullCPUPowerManagement.kext is a bad idea, it's as the name declare, no power management. You have 3 Audio kexts and your layout-id is incorrect. The DSDT you attached are not in the patched folder so it's not being use and I'm not sure it's even patched correctly. -
Latitude 7400 USB 3.1 xHCI Controller Issues (Catalina)

Try this script https://github.com/xzhih/one-key-hidpi By the way, why did you pin-masking DW1560, does it not work without it? -

Catalina should be set to /EFI/Clover/Cloverx64.efi -
[SOLVED] Dell E6530 Audio, Wifi not working Catalina 10.15.1
Jake Lo replied to npyadav1's topic in The Archive
The latest ACPI is set correctly. If you still don't have audio, it could be you need to update the kexts. Latest version of AppleALC = 1.4.3 Lilu = 1.3.9 Whatevergreen = 1.3.4 VirtualSMC = 1.0.9 FakePCIID + FakePCIID_XHCIMux = 1.3.15 AirportBrcmFixup.kext = 2.0.4 You can find them in these links https://github.com/vit9696/Lilu/releases https://github.com/vit9696/Lilu/blob/master/KnownPlugins.md https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/ Also since you're using static DSDT/SSDT, enable "Drop OEM" in the Config file -

Better you post the entire Clover folder. Easier to determine what you have already than to guess. -

Leave both checked in the BIOS, but move Catalina to the top. -

if you had follow Herve's advice to look in the FAQ, you'll discover that Intel wifi are not and probably will never be supported as Apple never use Intel's in their system You'll need to replace it with a supported card also linked in the FAQ section. My recommendation for your system is a DW1560. In recent MacOS Catalina, the list of supported device has shrunk. Atheros has been dropped and so are some older Broadcom chipset. As for audio, your codec should be ALC256, use AppleALC.kext with layout-id = 13 -

If your touchpad is an I2C, this kext is not for you. Open a new thread in the location of your system model with your system's specs and a debug file -
E7470 Clover config + DSDT for model with 6650U CPU
Jake Lo replied to ahalol's topic in The Archive
The files here uses hot patching, so it's not BIOS dependent like my earlier bootpacks. -
Those are not the files I have posted. Your DSDT.aml is from an Asus system. Your Config file is a mess. Your kexts are really outdated. You're missing Clover files from 2017.... Can't imagine why it would boot with those files. Reinstall Clover with the following settings with Clover version from here Install for UEFI booting only Install Clover in the ESP UEFI Drivers\Recommended Drivers ApfsDriverLoader AptioMemoryFix AudioDxe DataHubDxe FSInject HFSPlus Additional drivers PartitionDxe Themes (Optional) Replace the attached files I attached above into /EFI/Clover Try booting again and post the result

Clover folder is found inside the debug folder in that link

I covered this many times already and it's in my guide since 2016. https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/9179-dell-latitude-e7x70-clover-uefi-only/?do=findComment&comment=64816 Basically close your laptop lid until the projector monitor becomes primary, then open the lid again. Then both will be on. As quoted in the known issue section, this only occurs on a clean boot. If it's gone through a sleep cycle once, you won't have this issue.

strange, the files I attached does not have VoodooI2C nor Voodooi2CHID.kext in theme. Are you sure you're booting from the updated media?

Give this a try, goes into /EFI/Clover x210_test.zip
