ELAN and FocalTech (Smart Touchpad) driver Issues
Jake Lo replied to EMlyDinEsH's topic in Smart Touchpad
Your Lenovo x201 has a synaptics touchpad not Elan Touchpad. Use voodoops2controller by Rehabman. -
This guy got it to work with Clover. I'll need to try it on my Optiplex 9020 with HD 4600 as it's having the same issue after upgrading to 10.9.2. Worked fine with 10.9.1

See if voodoohda 2.8.5 works on this model.
-
According to nuschnuschi here, it is but loses audio after sleep.

Try this by Mirone. Note that the headphone jack will only give you white noise. See thread here. Same issue for this codec on Dell E7440 too.
-
Try latest voodoo 2.8.5.

E6330 wont even start to install, using E6430 boot method
Jake Lo replied to Hatchet92882's topic in The Archive
1. Windows 7 sp1 64bit can be install on GUID partition 2. Like my E6230, BIOS A12 causes artifacts. Downgrade to A11 as in Darvinko's guide. 3. You can get a DW1510 for less than $20 in Ebay. -

Did you enable MBR patch building the USB Installer? That could be the problem. -

What value did you use for IntelAzulFB or you just use the DSDT? Can you check to see if AppleIntelFramebufferAzul & AppleIntelHD5000Graphics are loaded now that you can boot in normal mode? run kextstat -l from the terminal

Do you have GraphicsEnabler=Yes?

Dell Latitude E6520 Problems on both 10.8.5 and 10.9
Jake Lo replied to GrandMstrBud's topic in The Archive
You still didn't say what the issue is. Is it not detecting your card, device not showing in network preference or just not able to connect to a wireless network? -
Can you try booting with HDAEnabler=Yes and see if it works?

You're still talking about the DW1397 card right? So is the adapter not picked up or not able to connect to a network? -
Site is back online, but Patel4prez's guide above will also works. As the old saying goes, if it's not broken, don't fix it. But there's no issue with the latest BIOS update if you want to upgrade it.

You can upgrade to 10.9.2, but your wireless card won't be able to connect to any connection besides WEP unsecure. Better to get another card like that one I have DW1510. Works without any extra kexts for Mavericks and below. -

Does your wireless work nonetheless without the last command? Remove AppleSmartBatteryManager and replace with this one. Run my fix and reboot. See if it makes a difference. AppleSmartBatteryManager2.kext.zip -
I guess it's temporarily down. You could try that or google it. "Dos on USB"

Dell Latitude E6520 Problems on both 10.8.5 and 10.9

Sorry, there were some typo's. Here's the correct path. Also fixed it in the guide. sudo chmod 755 /usr/libexec/airportd sudo chown 0:0 /usr/libexec/airportd xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /usr/libexec/airportd As for the battery, what's the issue? It the battery not showing or status is wrong or only seeing an X? If you're seeing an X, try booting with -f to see if that fixes it. If so, then run myHack->myfix (quick), it usually is a caching issue.
