  1. What's your system specs? Are you installing 10.9.0 or 10.9.2? If 10.9.2, try this Extra.
  2. That is for ALC282, this model has ALC292, so it's not going to work. This is the latest working version (Mavericks 10.9.2) from Mirone. The internal speaker and mic works, but not headphone ( white noise) or external mic (not detecting). Put the patched file in Extra/Extension overriding the old one. Run myHack->myfix (quick). Reboot. You'll loose audio after sleep which is a known issue with some ALC devices. Use EmLyDInEsH's EADPFix.kext to fix the problem. Search for it in the forum.
  3. There's been so many updates and development with this model since you've last installed ML. You will have a better experience with this new OS and guide linked for E6520 with Optimus enabled.

madoon, Does your system also have optimus AMD Radeon HD 8790M? If so, did you disable it with DSDT or from BIOS (don't think that's possible). Are you able to get QE/CI with HD 4600?
  5. Are you referring to this updated guide and Extra?
  6. Did you enable Optimus and use the correct SSDT from the folder?
  7. Bootpack is for Mavericks, not Lion, or am I reading it wrong?

What version of OSX are you installing? OSX 10.8.5? OSX 10.9.0? OSX 10.9.1? OSX 10.9.2?
  9. Got sleep on lid close working now, get new DSDT here!
  10. From your signature file, I see you have DualLink (higher than 1366x768). Make sure you set your BIOS to default, apply, then go back and set Sata Operation to AHCI. Optimus should be on by default.
  11. What's the specs of your E5530 system? That boot pack might not be suitable for you system CPU? Display resolution?
  12. On ML, you can roll back the kext, check here, look for your card and fix. But so far no fixes on Mavericks.
  13. Did you copy the patched mach_kernel to the hdd? Your processor is haswell, the vanilla kernel won't work.
  14. System won't boot without FakeSMC.kext. You'll need to restore it. Either slave the drive, move the file back, and run myfix or boot with your USB Installer, use the terminal to copy the file back and run myfix. What you're suppose to do if the instruction is not clear, is launch Chameleon Wizard, click on the SMBios tab, select edit and choose from the left what Mac hardware you're emulating. If you tuned FakeSMC to MBP 8.1, then change it to that model from the dropdown. If you tuned it to MBA 6.1, then change it to that.

Hi Mirone, Sorry I didn't credit you for the AppleHDA patching and DSDT. Since it wasn't fully working on my system, I just want others to give it a try. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
  16. Why not use your ML boot pack but update the kexts?
  17. Click on bluetooth link on my signature below with fix. See if that works for you. Intel Wireless is not supported if that's what you have. If not, please list what you have by running in terminal lspci -nn Boot camp is for real Mac hardware only, just use Chameleon for dual boot or triple boot and so on...
  18. Check out the E6520 guide in my signature. Now it supports optimus and allow sleeps. Of course, then you won't have HDMI working. Works for both non-vpro and vpro, jus have to use the correct SSDT files.

There isn't a boot pack for it if you have read this entire post, it's still in research/development. For starters, you can list your specs and we could go from there. CPU? Don't just list I7 or I5, list the exact cpu as there's lot of different I7 or I5 Display resolution? Does it have Optimus? Nvidia with Intel or just Intel HD 4600?

You can read about it here. You can download Mavericks from the app store.
  21. Did you have Optimus enabled and able to boot? Did it load HD 4000?
  22. Looking at your boot pack, GenericUSBXHCI is outside of Extensions, perhaps that why your USB 3.0 devices is not working. Also looks like you don't have multi-touch for touchpad/trackstick working, no power management. You need a patched DSDT to get HDMI video/audio working. Have you tried using the DSDT from the E6430 guide? You should leave out the EDP and include folder when you upload boot packs.
  23. It should say on the sticker on your palm rest. If no sticker there, you can remove the bottom cover. Inside the cover is a yellow sticker, if it says 3, it's non-vpro, 1 is vpro enabled.
  24. Wow, you beat me to it. Same reason I couldn't boot on E6520 but on E6420 is because of different processors. So after switching SSDT, I was able to get it working on E6520 too. You could also remove AppleACPIPlatform, not needed. With the voodooPS2controller, you can scroll with trackstick too. I'll update my guide too, Optimus now works on both vpro and non-vpro system.
  25. Do you see if you have 'Install OS X Mavericks' in your application folder? Point the source to that file. What OSX version is it running? If it's 10.9.1 or lower, you can go to to Update and download 10.9.2. After if finished download, it's store in Applications. Don't install the update just yet. Make a copy to your Desktop or anywhere for backup. Launch myHack to create the installer with that as the source.
