  1. Make sure to use the correct VoodooPS2Controller. R6 compiled by Bronxteck works perfectly. https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/8285-refined-alps-touchpad-driver/?page=1
  2. Just add it to the Kernel & Kexts Patches section of Clover using Clover Configurator app. You have all the necessary details. It works perfectly on my Dell E6230 laptop whether through direct kext binary patching (though I do this through a modded copy of the kext in /L/E and increase the kext version) or through Clover on-the-fly patching. Note that I only use Lilu kext; not Whatevergreen or IntelGraphicsFixup since I found no need for those. Maybe your patch is incorrectly specified in Clover. What do you apply and how? When you binary modded the kext, did you rebuild your cache afterwards?
  3. It really is nothing in your attached video... Tis being said, the patch applicable in Mojave remains the same as in High Sierra: replace 0100007522 by 010000EB22 in IOGraphicsFamily kext's binary.
  4. 1) Sleep: did you disable hibernation as detailed in our FAQ section? Your DSDT is certainly suitably patched on the USB ports power management front. 2) USB3: your DSDT contains the following (Apple-specific) code under the _INI method of scope _SB.PCI0: If (_OSI ("Darwin")) { Store (0x2710, OSYS) } Try and remove this and, instead, apply the following change to the Windows 2006-related code that you'll find a little further down the _INI method: If (LOr (_OSI ("Darwin"), _OSI ("Windows 2006"))) { Store (0x07D6, OSYS) } This should activate your USB3.0 root. Then, all you'll need are Rehabman's FakePCIID + FakePCIID_XHCIMux kexts for USB2.0/USB3.0 multiplexing. Note that the renaming of EHCx device to EH0x for USB2.0 ports may not be required on the E6x30 family. I use no such renaming on my E6230 and all works well with MBP9,2 SMBIOS. 3) SD card reader: your DSDT contains an incomplete (and cosmetic-only) patch for device RP06.PXSX. O2 SD card reader for the E6x30 laptops is covered in the dedicated R&D -> Hardware section. Patch your DSDT device accordingly. 4) Graphics glitches: did you apply the final stage boot glitch patch ? In IOGraphicsFamily kext, binary replace 0100007522 by 010000EB22. You can apply this as an on-the-fly Clover patch.
  5. Guys, as stated in our wireless card inventory, it's fair to say that these cards suffer from poor to no support at all and are therefore best avoided. Replace them by fully supported models and avoid all hassle.
  6. Use R6 by Dr.Hurt (compiled by Bronxteck) available in post #1 of this thread...
  7. We don't believe it's got anything to do with the kernel. It's must be something to do with the nVidia drivers but the issue has not been identified afaik.
  8. SD card reader of the E6x30 Series should be supported OOB once you inject the necessary DSDT patch detailed here. As for the NVS dGPU, it's a no go since High Sierra as far as I know.
  9. The track stick is actually supported with the ApplePS2Controller kext provided in the D620 bootpacks once you remove the VoodooPS2Trackpad PlugIn kext.
  10. Not the freshest thing around of course but the E6230 would fit within the stated budget. All hardware elements are supported in recent macOS version, including Mojave.
  11. Found a fix here at InsanelyMac (thx @lubeats) for loss of DVI 2nd screen; patch of AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy kext (a bypass for some checks, details elude me now, it was a quick read). Find: BA05000000 Replace by: BA00000000 With this patch in place, I recovered DVI output off my docking station in Sierra 10.12.6 and High sierra 10.13.6.
  12. Ok, so it's a Haswell laptop with the following specs: Series 8 chipset i3-4005U @1.70GHz (no Turbo boost) 8GB RAM Intel HD 4400 graphics + Nvidia GeForce 820M 14.0" LCD 1366x768 Realtek RTL8106/RTL8111 Gigabit Ethernet DW1705 802.11n + BT4.0 wireless card (compatible but poorly supported; better to replace) Realtek ALC255 ? (ALC3223) audio USB 2.0 + USB3 ports HD Webcam Synaptics Touchpad If you have a SD card reader, it should be: Realtek RTS5170 Card Reader That laptop is perfectly able to run current macOS High Sierra and will support Mojave. Optimus technology being unsupported in Hackintoshes, you won't be able to have dual graphics, only the HD4400 (fully supported) or, possibly, the nVidia (if supported). We can look at extracting the ACPI tables (DSDT/SSDT) from your BIOS for eventual patching.
  13. Skylake i5-6300U carries Intel HD 520 graphics. You don't need any add-on kexts, forget that; it's plain wrong. What you need is to setup Clover graphics for Inject Intel + adequate SKL layout-id 0x19160000. Also make sure to select an appropriate SMBIOS profile such as MacBookPro13,x. I also strongly recommend you read up all existing E7x70 threads and guides that will undoubtedly provide you with invaluable info.
  14. No. In Terminal: sudo nvram -c For additional info: man nvram
  15. You can follow the tutorial, of course. The OP has not been around since March so you'll have to follow-up on anything not working and we'll try and help you.

    Lenovo z51-70

There are plenty of Z51-70 related threads in this section, I suggest you read them all. No specific drivers for HD5500 iGPU or Sleep; those run on macOS provided kexts (drivers), it's a simple matter of settings. For graphics, just make sure you select the correct framebuffer layout-id in Clover and inject Intel graphics. For sleep, you need 2 x things: CPU power management fully in place + hibernation disable (you can consult our FAQ section for the latter). For power management, you need to activate KernelPm in Clover's Kexts & Kernel patches section and generate your CPU-specific SSDT using Pike R Alpha's ssdt generator tool. There is no support for dual/switchable graphics on Hackintoshes because Apple implemented this using their own hardware/technology; so it's either/or. You'll have to see if that AMD dGPU is supported before anything else. For audio, lookup the AppleALC wiki on the Net. You'll see that ALC265 codec is covered. Brightness control will require PNLF DSDT/SSDT patching at minimum. You can look that up too.
  17. Best thing is to use Clover Configurator app when one begins on the matter.
  18. I don't know; but on occasion, I have a kinda similar delay with my E6440, just longer (like 3 or 4 mins). But the screen does wake eventually.
  19. It seems you read wrong, no such thing in your plist as a Find key set to false... The value of a key is placed underneath, not above.
  20. PCI ven/dev id 2001:3310 is listed as DLink DWA-123 Wireless N 150 adapter in revision D1. The best I find for this is this. There are clearly at least 3 x different hardware versions of the DWA-123: A1, B1 and D1. For revision D1 model, the above URL lists driver RTLWlanU_MacOS10.9_MacOS10.12_Driver_1830.20.b7_1827.4.b27_UI_5.0.6.b4. I've had a look at it with Pacifist and the kext called RtWlanU covers your DWA-123: its Info.plist file contains the following entry, which matches: <key>DLink_DWA123_88EU</key> <dict> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>com.realtek.driver.RtWlanU</string> <key>IOClass</key> <string>RtWlanU</string> <key>IOKitDebug</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOUSBInterface</string> <key>bConfigurationValue</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>bInterfaceNumber</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>idProduct</key> <integer>13072</integer> <key>idVendor</key> <integer>8193</integer> </dict> As far as ids are concerned: 0x2001 = 8193 0x3110 = 13072 The Sierra driver can be expected to work in High Sierra, as stated here. If not, try Chris1111's tweaked package. It says it supports "DLink_DWA123_88EU" It seems the chipset for that dongle would be Realtek's RTL8188EU. NB: All this was found with a little Google search effort...
  21. OS X/macOS is more graphics hungry and battery will last less than under windows. If you disable Tubo boost when running on battery, yes you will save some battery life to the cost of performance...
  22. By the way, make sure you don't have a duff connection when you attach your E7440 to your PR03X. I've just noticed that mine was not working properly if I simply hooked my E6440 down on the docking station: the On/Off + Eject buttons of the docking station often did no lit up in blue. I guess the angle between the laptop and the docking station connector caused the issue and I had to lift up the front of the laptop for the connection to work properly. Without a good connection, no DVI output...
  23. Ok, I went back into El Capitan 10.11.6 Build 15G18013 (which I had not done for some time) and applied the Security Upgrade 2018-0004 10.11.6. Once I rebooted into 10.11.6 Build 15G22010, I noticed an updated Azul framebuffer kext v10.14.74. I patched this for my usual HDMI + DVI settings (patched kext in /S/L/E for a change), repaired permissions, rebuild cache and rebooted. On reboot, no issue, DVI is fully operational off the K07A (PR03X) docking station on port #7 with connector-type 00020000: As far as I'm concerned, your patch is therefore erroneous and you should be using: 03061200 00020000 87000000 not 02041200 00020000 87000000 Just in case, I've tried again to patch port #6 with DVI connector and it does not work. So, I believe your above patch will never work, unless things are different with HD4400 on the E7440, but I somehow doubt it.
