    yes also make sure you do not have a hda disabler kext in there

    sometimes patched apple HDA audio takes a few reboots to kick in

    that is because you have to correct the kext permissions that you dropped into S/L/E. but yeah i guess you can use a utility to install them instead

    if it has intel wifi it will not work in OS X and needs to be replaced witH a compatible card

    its only cosmetic and only lasts a few seconds between boot loader and os.

    is Sata set to AHCI in bios. also use latest clover http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded)/

    have you tried setting hibernate mode to 0 and deleting the hibernate file. in terminal use the following commands it will ask for your password after the first line sudo pmset hibernatemode 0 rm -rf /var/vm/sleepimage normally hibernate mode is set to 3.

    did you install windows in UEFI mode. you would have had to use the bios boot menu and select UEFI install media.

    You can check in your bios for more specific info.

    there are 2 options for OsxAptioFixDrv in clover installer. try the other one.

    did you specify a location path for the kernel in your boot plist. if so either try without the path or add the kernel to the path it's looking for. the path changes depending what os you have installed. also older versions of chameleon do not support latest os.

    try booting off of a usb installer and choose your existing osx volume to boot. if it boots then just reinstall the boot loader to the hdd.

    what patch did he apply i only saw one for a 7000 series not a 5000 and not all the edits where taking. the one that actualy had the most patches that changed i think was for a vostro

    if you have intel wifi it is not supported by OS X need to replace it also i am not sure if DW1530 is supported either.

    ok so the usb installer is not being detected or the hard drive? it's not clear whats not booting.

    transfer the files from the usb to the new install.

    is the sata setting in bios set to AHCI ?

    clover will only extract and save if you have a fat formatted EFI partition.

    since lion os webcam support has been gradually degrading worst so far being elcaptain.

    your dsdt probably needs to be patched for battery.

    do you use fakesmc HW monitor if so does it display your battery voltage and state?

    with a properly configured clover you can upgrade directly from the app store app you do not need a usb pen drive.
