not loading all ACPI states (speedstep problem)
Bronxteck replied to prashantloveguru143's topic in The Archive
are you using the same DSDT for both os's? also clover sometimes gets confused when you have 2 EFI partitions like that. try sticking with the one in EFI partition. maybe your mixing the speed stepping issue with a usb kext issue. generic usb3 kext is known to have issues with Yosemite. it was originally compiled for 10.8.x.- 3 replies

we have no clue what your installer used but that machine is covered here for many years you can search our forum for more info. you can try some of our files located here
-
does it have a wake from usb device option in bios. like usb keyboard or mouse?
-
check if you have wake on lan and or usb enabled in bios if so turn it off.
-
make sure you tell chameleon where the kernel is located. for yosemite it is in System/Library/Kernels/kernel

do not drop all OEM ssdt's then. your machine might need one to boot correctly. with clover just drop the SSDT for cpu pm. you can look at the clover boot log to see what ssdt tables clover loaded. and determine which to not load.- 3 replies

check to see if you have myhack.kext in S/L/E if you had it previously installed and upgraded to yosemite. and check inside the kext's plugins folder. remove it if it is in there and rebuild your caches

have a look through this thread maybe you can sort some of your issues. https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/5577-asus-n550/

if you applied the my hack MBR patch it might give issues after language selection. https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7212-myhack-331-with-mbr-patch-on-mavericks-causes-install-crash-due-to-code-signature-invalid/

so was it the npci flag messing with your patches originally?
-
here is a nice repo for older cpu patches http://olarila.com/forum/patches.php
-
no nothing up my sleeve for applehda. i have had the luck that voodoohda has always filled my needs.
-
have you tried with out the flag npci=0x2000 sometimes that kills audio and network.
-
i think you have to remove the old ssdt and boot without it then run the script.

Install OSX on Lenovo Thinkpad X201s (and maybe x201)
Bronxteck replied to Leon's topic in The Archive
well you might be missing some sort of cpu power manegment flags/ kernel patches or SSDT for your CPU. adding null cpu kext might get you at least to install so you can finish trouble shooting. -

have you tried booting with the clover option AICPUPM also known as asus fix. -
well if the disc came with a real mac it is not usable it would say that you cannot install on this machine. also what SMBIOS is the machine emulating? it should be one thats capable of installing snow
-
hmm. remove the fakesmc plugins for now as there not needed for install one of them seems to be giving a warning. also what flags are you using? do yo have kext-dev-mode=1 ?
-
you probably nead EAPD fix or codec commander

-
yeah big no no. both inject into S/L/E causing duplicate kext entries
-
it might say that if the disk was not formatted to guid partition
-
i think it depends on what os you used to make the installer. my hack is not compatible with yosemite as of yet. if you have the snow leopard retail disk image you can use disk utility to restore the disk to the usb then install my hack to the usb with your bootlick. also you need to install chameleon to it after.

the first EFI is the volume the second is the folder within.
