  1. did you follow the guide and edit the plist file to the desire brightness level? then place the files in the location specified?
  2. Some kexts won't load from /E/E and will need to be install to S/L/E, but the kexts I mentioned will load fine from /E/E. If you find that they are not loading, then go ahead and install them to S/L/E
  3. You can't just drag the file, you have to compress it and attach it from "More Reply Options." There's installing package, you can manually copy these file to the right location. Note from guide. Note: My script just copies the BrightnessFix to the folder /usr/bin and brightnessFix.plist file to the folder /Library/Launchagents.
  4. Yes, the modules folder is fine, but I don't think KernelPatcher is needed.
  5. The DSDT by OP has nvidia disable and load HD4000, so use the DSDT. Add 'nv_disable=1 dart=0' to your org.chameleon.boot.plist so you don't have to enter it everytime. What is on your 1st HDD? Chameleon is installed on your 2nd HD that's why you have to select it from F12. Chameleon loader will have to be install to the 1st HD if you don't want to have to choose after reboot with F12. EDP is under construction to include Clover, so it's not currently working. No need to run it if you have everything tuned. What error are you seeing when it KP?
  6. None of the kexts will work on Yosemite, but the DSDT/SSDT should be fine. Since you have Yosemite installed, what is not working? Kexts you should have in /Extra/Extensions: FakeSMC AppleIntelE1000e - for LAN ACPIBatteryManager - Battery Status VoodooPS2Controller - Mouse/Keyboard ACPIBacklight - Backlight control GenericUSBXHCI - USB 3.0 if it exists in your system NullCPUPowerManagement until you have a patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement
  7. No, that's just the last version of Chameleon I was using, you could use the latest if you prefer. Yes, remove all and only use the one I sent. The others are for other models as it's describe in the guide.
  8. You never mentioned the display resolution I asked for, but based on the screen capture it looks to be 1366x768. Your CPU is i7-3720qm not i7-3730qm, must be a typo on your part. The system specs look very much like my E6430 with Optimus Nvs5200M. You can use the boot file from here for E6x30 but replace DSDT with this attached. Not sure you're going with Chameleon or Clover, but if Chameleon, you can use my guide here. Good Luck! dsdt.aml.zip
  9. Check the BIOS, video memory show 64mb on mine. From Windows, Dedicated Video Memory shows 64 MB and System Video Memory shows 0. To answer your questions 1 ) Yes, I'm using Legacy. According firewolf and other users, without this setting it causes garble screen. 2 ) Sounds like you have random theme setup. You can change it in Clover to your favorite theme 3 ) Verify AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFrameBuffer is in your USB Installer first. I would follow step 2.1 to mod the kext. I'm not comfortable modding the BIOS DSDT patching is step 3, but that's after you have the DVMT corrected I've only tested v3193 and working so can't tell you how 3202 is working until I have tested it
  10. Your config looks fine. Install this to /S/L/E
  11. Great that you're able to get a successful install. The issue with HD4600 is not with the DSDT. The issue is with the Framebuffer. Please upload the config that you're using currently that works.
  12. Credits goes out to the developers below voodoo developers Rehabman bpedman yeahoon
  13. nareto, when you connect your TV, does your TV show up in the Audio preferences? If it does, your HDMI audio is working and you control the volume from your TV as Bronxteck said.
  14. Remove any voodoops2controller, ApplePS2Controller and install this This will allow 2 finger scrolling on the touchpad and middle mouse scrolling on the trackstick.
  15. For Yosemite, you just needed to set SMBios.plist to MacBookAir 5.1 or 5.2.
  16. What's your result from the one you found on the internet?
  17. Please specify which version of OS X you're installing, your system's specs, and what procedure did you follow? Specs include CPU, IGPU, Display resolution, USB 2.0 or 3.0 (chipset) What files do you currently have? DSDT/SSDT/Kexts
  18. Try this, place it in Clover/ACPI/Patched. SSDT-1.aml.zip
  19. Yes! What issue are you having?
  20. I think in this model, it's call Switchable Graphics. AMD 4000m is not supported so you'll need to use HD4000. A DSDT can disable the AMD, but you need to have Switchable Graphics Enabled. Can you export all the SSDT/DSDT? Need to check the SSDT that has the info to disable the AMD graphics.
  21. You need the SSDT that has device B0D3 in it. That needs to be patch and added to enable HDMI audio. So your internal speaker and headphone is working?
  22. If you have to go with the models with Nvidia, then go with the E6420's. There's a beta DSDT out there by Wern that allows sleep with nvidia, but not for the E6430. The Quadcore model is nice to have but that also depends on what you use it for. Be warn that battery life will not be very good with the nvidia as it's a power hogger. There is a DSDT to disable the nvidia card and use only the Intel HD3000, but you'll lose the capability to connect to an external monitor through HDMI. So it all comes down to what's your need.
  23. Can you list your system's specs? CPU IGPU display resolution Can the AMD display be turned off?
  24. It all depends on the specs. Both are good hackintoshes. Preferably without optimus, those are harder to get sleep working. Without optimus, with just Intel HD3000/HD4000, both able to sleep and HDMI works. I prefer the higher display resolution if you could find out with a good price.
  25. VGA port is not supported. Please use the Displayport on your system.
