  1. While following https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7376-dell-latitude-e6410-yosemite-nvidiaintel/I encountered the following error (see attached). Please let me know how i can fix this
  2. I have a Latitude E5530 that I would like to know if it can support OS X Yosemite. Specs: Dell Wireless 1504 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz) BroadcomNetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller IDT High Definition Audio Intel® Mobile Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller Latitude E5530 non-vPro Intel i3-2328M @ 2.20GHz 4.00GB RAM 64-Bit Capable with Virtualization 500GB HDD
  3. Hi, I have a Dell Latitude E7440 with i4300 (i5 processor with Intel 4400) 1920x1080 display, 256GB SSD. Currently using a USB wifi, and on A15 BIOS. In my search for the best tutorial, I've tried the Clover Method, with the tutorial from here and attempted EDP. With all the tutorials out there, it makes it challenging for a newbie to figure out what is best, or where to start. That being said, I see EDP, MyHack, Clover, Chameleon... What really is the best way? Can someone break down the 4 or 5 methods, and explain why one would choose one over the other? It seems like Clover makes the most sense from what I've tried, but not so sure, as I've had my own issues getting things up and running. I'm currently sort of up using Clover with the tutorial from here, but my Graphics is unaccelerated and some sleep issues with audio.. Running Yosemite 10.10.4. Also it's not so clear, do the boot packs have everything you need for 10.10.4, or do you need to apply patches for each to get up to date (eg. apply 10.10.1, then stuff for 10.10.2, etc.) Thanks!
  4. I'm currently trying to fully enable the graphics on my Latitude E5520 with HD3000 Graphics. I cannot seem to find the right Framebuffer Kext to enable QE/CI and it's becoming quite frustrating. I'm new to the whole Hackintosh thing so please excuse my ignorance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are my system specs: CPU:Intel Core i5-2520M CPU @ 2.50GHz Chipset: Intel HM65 (Sandy Bridge) Memory:4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3l Graphics: Intel HD3000 (FHD 1920x1080) Let me know what other info I might need to provide. Thanks
  5. After following the guide posted by Herve I managed to successfully install Yosemite on my Dell D630 (Nvidia). I used the app store Yosemite 10.10.3 app for this install, Instead of using Clover on the USB Install stick I used Chameleon-2.3svn-r2437.pkg. For the Extra folder contents I used those found on on my Mountain Lion Install (you can use the 10.10 Bootpack). After a successful install and a little modifying I had SpeedStep working again after following Herve’s guide. Everything works just fine and from my day to day use I’ve found Yosemite to be more responsive than Mountain which I had on my D630 prior to installing Yosemite. Please watch the video to see how everything runs on my D630.
  6. Hi, Wondering if anyone has a Dell Latitude D420 bootpack for Snow Leopard 10.6.3 around, I'm struggling to find one. Many thanks.
  7. Hi Guys, I'm wondering if someone can help me get 10.6 installed on my D420, there is a good tutorial here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/178411-guide-boot-cd-d-series-latitudew-nvidia-or-gma950-and-intel-dual-core-retail-installs/?do=findComment&comment=1223592but it requires a DVD drive, I have tried to do what the CDs are doing with memory sticks but when I install the D620SLV1.iso to a memory stick and boot it it says it has no boot sector. Could someone help, Thanks
  8. Hello, I'm stuck after step 5 in this procedure . Screen is stucks on Apple logo. Do you have any idea? THX
  9. I successfully created a bootable USB with MyHack v3.3.1 and the extras for my e6500. The Dell correctly boots into the OSX setup for Mavericks, but does not see the internal HDD. Disk Utility runs, but also does not see the HDD. I have tried reformatting the HDD from a working Mac, both as exFAT with MBR and Mac Journaled with GUID. Makes no difference. What am I missing?
  10. I'm trying to get Mavericks running on my Dell Latitude E6510. I see that there's not even an option for it in your compatibility database here... but there is for e6520. I assume these two can't be too much different, right? Anyway... I have tried all bootflags and serveral different bootloaders. Sometimes I will get the Mac initial setup sounds but a black screen or just the spinning apple logo. When I run verbose all I can see that may be wrong is the applebatterymanagement keeps saying "failed' over and over and over... any suggestions?
  11. Lovecore

    e6440?

    I was currently given a Dell E6440 that is no longer needed. I wasn't sure if there was a guide for this system yet. It runs an i5-4300m, Qualcom Wireless chipset, and intel GFX chip. I was looking to get a Hackintosh setup on it but since there doesn't seem to be much in the way of setting one up. I can install whatever OS may be needed in order to get information that the community may need to get this hardware working. Thanks!
  12. Hi ! Just a little question about the performance tunning guide. I'm running a Dell D830 nVidia Quadro NVS 135M with an Intel T7250 @ 2.0 Ghz and 2 Gb or RAM running Mavericks 10.9.3 and I'm willing to optimize it. So i've read the Performance tunning guide with FakeSMC & SMBios.plist and it seems that my laptop match a MacBook Pro 1,1 with 1.2f10 (SMC 1.0). My question is how to convert this value in PlistEditor Pro to modify the Data field like mentionned in the guide : "SMC version 1.30f3 which is displayed in Data field as 01300F00 0003" ? Thanks for help and congrats to the OSXlatitude crew which is doing a wonderful job on how to get OS X on PC !
  13. Two problems: Wireless Cannot Find Networks I installed an Atheros AR5BHB112 as recommended on the supported/unsupported card thread. It is detected but cannot find wireless networks. I tried to manually enter my wireless network information, but it could not find it/connect in either clear or WEP modes. My SSID is not hidden. lspci -nn returns: 03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9300 Wireless LAN adaptor [168c:0030] (rev 01) I've tried running MyFix quick and full and have rebooted several times with no success. The old Dell card had two antenna hookups for ch 1 and 2; I attached those to ch 1 and 2 on the Atheros card. There was a third cable that was unused; I attached that to ch 0 on the Atheros card. Is this where I went wrong? Keyboard Layout Is Not Saved I use a Japanese keyboard layout. When I reboot, the computer reverts to a US layout and I have to go to Keyboard Settings to redetect it. Is there a way to permanently set it to a Japanese layout?
  14. Hi Everybody! Wanted to ask anyone has experience in installing or any sort of possible options to get OSX on this notebook? I, myself tried to get 10.8.2 to install, the USB drive is booting fine, install boots up. (I just don't have any built in space on my HDD and wanted to try it on a USB/External device and could not, it didn't recognize it as possible install device. All comments are welcome!
  15. Okay so I want to install Snow Leopard on my e6500. I have the genuine snow leopard cd imaged to a thumb drive. I'm not sure what to do from here. The only thing I've hackintoshed in the past was a dell mini 9, which was a breeze. Thanks for your input!
  16. Hi all, I have a Dell Inspiron E6220 (infact two-I'm only trying to install on one though), which are both: Intel Core i5 2520 2.5GHZ CPU 4GB Ram Seagate Momentus Thin 7200RPM 250GB HDD Intel HD Graphics I have two USBs: a unifail 10.8, and a myHack 10.8, both with the OSX ML from the Mac App Store (on a Mac). When I try to boot up the install, it goes to the Apple screen, the spinning wheel, and then freezes on the spinning wheel and doesn't do anything. This is the same for both USBs (and both laptops). I read somewhere that someone was only able to boot with -f, I tried this on the myHack USB and it still didn't work, but when I tried the unifail, it did work. I was able to get everything ready for installation, and start the installation, until about halfway through the installation the screen just turns full white, with a small grey box. I am pretty sure that the computer completes the installation, and then it reboots back to the unifail USB (I'm not sure about this). Picture of screen: http://puu.sh/4otRE.jpg The computer reboots, and then comes back to the unifail screen on the USB. So now I try to get into the Macintosh HD, and no luck. I try with -f on both USBs and still no luck (it freezes on spinning wheel again). How can I fix this? Some errors near the end I can see: (in -v boot Verbose mode) Bootcachecontrol: Unable to open /var/db/Bootcache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory Bootcachecontrol: Unable to open /var/db/Bootcaches/PreheatedUser/Merged.playlist: 2 No such file or directory Bootcachecontrol: Unable to open /var/db/Bootcaches/PreheatedUser/Login.playlist: 2 No such file or directory Gets stuck on: AppleIntelE1000e: Ethernet address 24:b6:restofaddress Thanks
  17. I did everything in the pre-installation, plugged in the USB drive, and booted it up, saw the chameleon bootloader, verbose mode, and then this. I have no idea what to do. I had built and installed lots Hackintoshes in the past, none had a problem.
  18. Hello there. I followed the guide to installing Mac OS X Lion on Dell Latitude D630 and right after loading everything from the Chameleon bootloader, I see a black screen with white writing on it showing a kernal panic: BCM5722D (setupDriver:920): MSI index on 1 panic(cpu 1 caller 0x2ccb0f): Kernal trap at 0x3624703a, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x8001003b, CR2: 0x00000000, CR3: 0x00100000, CR4: 0x00000660 EAX: 0x00000000, EBX: 0x0000085a, ECX: 0x00000000, EDX: 0x299cdffc CR2: 0x00000000, EBP: 0x2ff6bc58, ESI: 0x05eba800, EDI: 0x00000000 EFL: 0x00010246, EIP: 0x3624703a, CS: 0x00000008, DS: 0x00000010 Error code: 0x00000000 Debugger called: <panic> Backtrace (CPU 1), Frame : Return Address (4 potential args on stack) 0x2ff6ba98 : 0x22032e (0x6abf4c 0x2ff6bab8 0x229ef0 0x0) 0x2ff6bac8 : 0x2ccb0f (0x6b8488 0x3624703a 0xe 0x6b8431) 0x2ff6bb78 : 0x2e2e34 (0x2ff6bba0 0x2ff6bb88 0x2ff6bb98 0x5eba800) 0x2ff6bb98 : 0x3624703a (0xe 0xc0048 0x10 0x18000010) 0x2ff6bc58 : 0x3624861c (0x5eba800 0x0 0x4222 0x18000000) 0x2ff6bce8 : 0x36244e26 (0x5ee7a80 0x299cd000 0x1 0x0) 0x2ff6bd18 : 0x362eb798 (0x4222 0x5ee7a80 0x299cd000 0x1) 0x2ff6bda8 : 0x36296d22 (0x25232000 0x8086 0x4222 0x0) 0x2ff6be08 : 0x3623d828 (0x5dc2c00 0x8086 0x4222 0x0) 0x2ff6bea8 : 0x3623fd98 (0x5dc2c00 0x5dc2c00 0x0 0x5dc2c00) 0x2ff6bec8 : 0x647f1d (0x5dc2c00 0x5bb3e80 0x2ff6bef8 0x6064aa) 0x2ff6bf18 : 0x647c86 (0x5bb3e80 0x5dc2c00 0x5dc0480 0x2fb4d3b0) 0x2ff6bf68 : 0x648a7d (0x5bb3e80 0x5d52f80 0x0 0xffffffff 0x2ff6bf98 : 0x64a8a4 (0x5bb3e80 0x0 0x2ff6bfb8 0x1) 0x2ff6bfc8 : 0x2c5d0c (0x5d4fb90 0x0 0x2c5d1b 0x5ba5000) Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.apple.driver.AirPortBrcm43224(500.36.11)[081ADA69-2E4E-4EB3-BDA3-1B5233BC5254 ]@0x36230000->0x363a7fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IO80211Family(400.40)[41868296-83CF-41A4-813C-AB76C81DF1B7 ]@0x36182000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily(2.0)[0D1D5E8F-C35E-4D3B-8A74-6D23BCDE48C6 ]@0x36086000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.6.5)[371238D1-CD26-4E59-B860-D5CA04A2FA09 ]@0x2fb4b000 BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task Boot args: boot-uuid=47347ABD-AF7E-3EFA-9664-5C333F33BB48 rd=*uuid -v -v Mac OS version: Not yet set Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 11.0.0: Sat Jun 18 12:57:44 PDT 2011; root:xnu-1699.22.73~1/RELEASE_I386 Kernel UUID: F8596E5D-0966-3091-AA8D-6E11CA68386F System model name: MacBook3,1 System uptime in nanoseconds: 3266526966 Can you please help me?
