it still is not loading your graphics have you tried Graphics Enabler=No or Yes with your existing flags?

did you check the sub menus for Sata operation? or see if there is a newer bios

do you have tried shutting off bt and wifi during install? also don't forget you will need the AppleACPIPlatform.kext

you can try an overall performance boot. have a look at Performance tuning with FakeSMC & SMBIOS plist the d830 is very similar to the d630 well except graphics.

you should be able to do the FN function from the chameleon prompt. there was a discussion of this topic a few years ago. it's buried in the forum. but not as nice as yours

i did not edit the dsdt for audio. i also have not tested the headphones.

will the z value hold if you edit the info plist?

did you check your bios to see if it is shut off?

boot with -f -v -x flags and post the kp if possible. mbr can also be the issue but usually surfaces during install. it tends to get stuck at language selection. but there are many working guides here in the forum. conti also posted a reversal process for the mbr patch.

use the boot media you used to install osx. then select your new osx installation. once your at desktop re run my hack app and install chameleon to the HDD. Boot 0 error means chameleon is not installed properly.

looks like you might have intel gma 4500 graphics. apple never used that graphics option.

thanks for the offer. EDP always has room for improvements. it has not gotten this far without them. it started as a bash script. EDP is pretty much capable of a lot of things. but time gets hard to find plus supporting over 80 machines and 4 os it gets intricate. what works for one os might not work well with another. then you have each update of each os. so what works lets say at 10.6.0 might not work at 10.6.8. same for the other 3 os's. now I'm sure there are some things that can be done like updating at least smbios models it is still a big task for the few coders we do have. then there is there time factor. we only have 5 coders. which have there own personal lives to attend too as well as help us in the community. each one has there forte in the edp development parts they do each does there specific part then need the others to implement. getting all 5 together sometimes is difficult as we are a global team. it involves many super late nights or no sleep to accomplish because of geographical diversity. we do this all for you our peers and community. and of our free will to help. what i can say about edp is that it helps generate knowledge and understanding to users that are not familiar with osx as it opens there horizons into a new and exciting endeavor. we all need to start somewhere EDP opens that door for you. with time and perseverance many of our users have excelled and returned to our community to also return the favor of helping struggling community members. and thats what we try to achieve. to make our community what it is strong, vibrant and courteous.

maybe this can help your temps a bit Performance tuning with FakeSMC & SMBIOS plist but yes osx runs hotter then windows. since it is meant to run on a mac not a pc.

you can also use dsdteditor that you used to get it. then recompile it after the change. or try my dsdt in my extra folder. The org.chameleon is coded for hd4000 for my ivy 3770 core using framebuffer=9. jake please test the whole extra. let me know if it needs more tweaking. Extra 2.zip

did you try audio midi setup app and see if you can add it? unless you need the program and it interfaces directly but i never used midi so not much help.

you don't need the dsym files. there is an option in Xcode to not create those. instead of dwarf/dsym just compile dwarf.

check to see if you have darkwake=0 in org.chame. remove it if you do. you can try newer ethernet kexts as well.
