Hi, I got E7440 with HD4400 plus 1080p screen. Currently installed Mojave on SSD. I am having problem with iGPU. I followed guide to create USB installer with EFI bootpack for high sierra and Mojave but they will not show up installer/desktop after DSMOD has arrived. I tried igfxvesa command. I got installer GUI but graphics acceleration is disabled. So I installed Mojave on it then booted desktop without graphics acceleration. There is other guy who have EFI bootpack for Mojave version and same E7440 model and hd 4400. It came with FakeID 0x04128086 and ig-platform-id 0x0a260006. No luck with graphics acceleration. For spec on bios. here are them!

I have installed OSX Mavericks and I wanted to run EDP to finish off the install but it simply will not install. The installer says that it finds Clover and Chameleon and thus it cannot continue the install. The boot disk onto which I installed OSX did in fact have clover on it at one time. But I have formatted and removed the EFI partition and so there should be no Clover installed at all. The disk has completely been reformatted. Still, it says it finds clover. Is there any way to fix this? The only thing I haven't done yet but I will soon is simply recreate the installer. Thanks, ISR

Hi, I've succesfully installed mavericks on my dell 3521 using Myhack but i've noticed some problems after fine-tuning with the edp app. First of all, the patched appleintelcpupowermanagemet.kext that gets installed to get my powermanagement working, gives me a kernel panic after rebooting. I fixed this by downloading a patched version from the niresh website. After using their patch i could boot and everything works good now. my second problem is that when i boot my hackintosh with -v, it hangs for a long time at "ioapic version 0x20 vectors 64 87". How can i fix this ? I know it doesn't seem to be an error but it takes damn long to boot when it always stops there. And last but not least, i found out that my laptop is using the realtek alc282 audio chipset but the edp recommends to install a version of voodoohda... I tested it by removing voodoohda and patching my applehda using the hackintosh vietnam tool and got my my audio to work out of the box. What would be the best to be using ? voodoohda or a patched applehda ? Thanks.

What would I have to provide to get a supported EDP profile for the Latitude E5420? I have a working OS X 10.9 install going. Only thing not stock is the WiFi card (I have Dell Dw 1510 AGN Half Bcm4322).

Hey. This laptop seems like an easy canidate for EDP. All you need to add would be the solar kext, which would be hard to make. http://solaptop.com/en/products/laptops/

Hey Guys Have Dell D630 with Lion. Recently updated Lion with Software Updater which resulted in combi update to OS - now says it is at 10.7.5 (11G63) . After it completes the update it immediately reboots and can't come back up because some OS things have changed. Booted with MyHack USB and installed D630 bootpack on OS on hard disk - reboot and system starts up fine using the D630 bootpack Extra. Now run EDP (r762) and select D630 default settings - everything completes normally (see log attached). When I reboot the system it starts to boot up and then hangs just after - ACPI: System State [s0 S3 S4 S5] PFM64 (36 CPU) 0xf10000000, 0xf0000000 [PCI Configuration Begins] D630 is standard NVidia machine with Dell DW1390 Airport Wifi card. Hope you can point me in the right direction. arcaman6 edplog.txt

For old EDP, I've been always using ApplePS2Controller.kext, that makes both touchpad and pointing stick working. For some reason, with new EDP, my D430 (SL) 's pointing stick no longer working, and I noticed the kext is the same. Why thhe same kext behaves differently? Is there anyway to make both built-in touchpad and pointing stick working? Thanks a lot

All, I'm still getting the infamous 'Can't get <class docf> "edptool.command" of <class cfol> "extra" of <class sdsk> of application "finder"' error when I try to run EDP 5. I have learned from another thread here that this probably means that my ISP is blocking SVN connections. Mr Freckles managed to use his cell phone connection to download. I have tried my own cell phone connection and still get the error. Earlier this week, I was in the US and tried the following wifi hotspots: Barnes and Noble 3 McDonalds 2 Panera Bread Washington-Dulles airport wifi I'm now in Europe and tried: Frankfurt airport wifi 2 McDonalds 2 other internet cafes None of the above locations allowed EDP to work. I got the same error every time. I don't think calling some massive ISP is going to get me anywhere, so does anyone know if there's some level of configuration that I can do at the level of my 'box'? Or does anyone have any idea of any public wifi in either France or Germany where EDP does actually work? Thanks, Chris

OK new thread here, since iMick helped me through my problem of getting EDP started at all (redownload EDP, reinstall, redownload EDP, reinstall). Now EDP starts but appears to stop at Step 6 myFix, at the point the request for donations appears (unless this is a hint? I thought it was done and rebooted but Chameleon is clearly not installed, so I'm thinking EDP isn't quite finished yet....I've left it now nearly an hour. The page keeps refreshing but there's no sign of advancing beyond Step 6. Thanks, Chris I have the nVidia version of D630.

Hello Thanks in advance for any help you offer. I got my USB prepped, booted from it OK, formatted the drive and installed Chameleon, OSX 10.8 onto my internal HDD of my Dell Precision M65. When booting with the -v flag I get the following text before it hangs: BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory macx_swapon SUCCESS No interval found for . What am I doing wrong, without the -v flag, I get a Grey Screen of Death. I am not a n00b to computers, http://www.hodge.net.au/sam , but I am a n00b to running OSX on non apple hardware and I dont really know OSX that intimately, so I might require a little bit of extra explaination. I have a 2009 iMac at my disposal, keyboards, USB HDDs, monitors. But I was just trying and experiment if it was possible to run OSX on my old laptop. Sam

Hello, I installed myHack+Dell Vostro 200 Bootpack+EDP for Mountain Lion, but now Launchpad takes forever to open! The launchpad was pretty quick like an original Mac in Lion, but it takes 5-7 minutes to open Launchpad which is very annoying. I have not yet gotten a graphics card(because it will take a few days to order it), but launchpad takes forever. Will the Nvidea gt 610 graphic card Pci 2.0 fix the problem? If you need any screenshots, or photos of my desktop, please ask. I will be getting my card in a few days, so it might solve the problem. Thanks vgupta

Hmm, what about the Intel GMA D820..... Same thing, the D820 gets a MacBook1,1 but the D620 is MacBook2,1; but I don't have a D820-Intel to test on, so it might very well work that way on the D820-intel). In a similar light, my Inspiron 9400 (GMA950, 1920x1200 screen) works as a D620-intel-high (MB2,1) but won't work with the smbios.plist provided in the Inspiron_9400 EDP (set up as a MBP3,1). My D820/P-M65 is happy with the D620 EDP (as a MacBook2,1) but it is not happy with the D820 EDP (as a MacBook 1,1). For that matter, my D820/M65 is happy without a DSDT.aml or smbios.plist at all, using the leppy700m BootCD (happier, in ways, since the VGA and DVI ports on the D/Dock work with the leppy700m BootCD but don't with the D620 EDP). But that is of course a substantially older Chameleon..... Anyway, there's a few data points....

I have been successfully running osx 10.6.8 on a D820 for some time. Since the wifi never worked I recently found an used broadcom card and installed and decided to also run the latest edp. However after reboot, the screen is blank. This happens after boot and the startup screen on nvidia driver activation probably. I have booted in -x -v -s mode, copied restored the old /Extra and ran the old edptool.command but it still does not work. Any ideeas? Regards, Olsen

I keep hearing about running fixes in edp. I have ran edptool several times and I don't see an option for fixes. Any ideas about what I'm missing? Everything is running great on my d620 nvidia except hibernation and display sleep.

Updated my EDP today and wasn't able to connect to the internet. I was able to reproduce this effect over and over by -running myhack and installing the boot extras -then running the EDP install.dmg update and choosing default installation. -after reboot ethernet is no longer detected. Is there anywhere I can d/l EDP 4 ? System Dell D620 GMA 950 1440x900. OSX LION 10.7.5 Also not sure if this is also a bug but was trying to connect an external monitor VGA (1920 x 1080) in extended and / or Lid down mode and the bottom part of my screen has corrupt images. In 1440x900 it works. Updating to EDP 5 doesn't seem to have an effect. Can't test out the previous EDP since EDP 5 overwrote it. fuzzy.tiff
