All details of the required DSDT (or SSDT) patch are available in: DrHurt's Alps PS2 controller kext thread (original source of the solution) my E7250/7490 installation guides

I've checked IOReg of my 7490 today with built-in LCD + HDMI & DP off the Dock. Observation: when each output port is used individually (i.e. without the other plugged in), both register against FB@2/port #6. When used simultaneously, this does not change and only 1 display registers under that output port! I've tried to add patches for FB@1/port #5 too but to no avail. I guess this is the reason why both external screens display the same picture, knowing that HDMI appears to take priority (it's the HDMI screen that shows under PrefPane/About This Mac/Display Menu app, never the DP screen, no matter the manner in which the displays get connected.). It's a hardware mirror, not a macOS one! 'pretty sure this is the same for your 7480 and more troubleshooting time is required here...

We have various guides for the E6x20 Series in our Guides section; head over there.

You need to make sure that Ethernet interface is set as 1st interface en0. You'll see this in IOReg or through Terminal command ifconfig. If it's not, remove all interfaces from your Network PrefPane, delete NetworkInterfaces.plist from /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and reboot. Using Clover Configurator app, make sure you've setup your Clover config properly: make sure you've applied a proper SMBIOS to your Clover config. In your case MBP11,1 or MBA6,2. make sure you've generated new serial + SmUUID numbers in SMBIOS tab make sure you've generated new Custom UUID number in System Parameters tab make sure you've generated a new ROM number (from SMBIOS) in Rt Variables tab make sure you've copied the generated MLB number from info box to the MLB field in Rt Variables tab There are numerous existing posts on these matters, please search the forum before posting.

E7440: for macOS Catalina USB installer WiFi and Ethernet
Hervé replied to dctacsi's topic in The Archive
I believe I was replying to @Pazzeo who hijacked your thread without providing any hardware specs for his own model. It would be quite a mistake to assume he too has a DW1550 since I do not think all E7440 came out of the factory with that specific card... -
Same behaviour when I hook 2 external screens to my E7490: 3rd one is mirror of the 2nd, no matter what. Never bothered to look into it to be honest. TouchPad is I2C so look up existing 7480 threads for the correct set of kexts. From experience, the kexts I put in my 7490 boot packs do not work on the 7480; they obviously don't use the same TouchPad models.

Mojave has no official support for HD3000. You'd have to resort to special tricks that also need to be re-applied after each update, including Security ones. Those tricks only provide somehow-limited OpenGL-only graphics acceleration and are not 100% defect free. Given that support for HD3000 has been buggy enough since El Capitan, I can only discourage you to try and run Mojave on this laptop. My advice is to stick to High Sierra, the last version to officially and natively support HD3000 graphics. You'll find plenty guidance for that on the forum.

OP should be able to read his own report and identify the LAN + Wifi card fitted to his laptop, then check our FAQ section as suggested for Wireless. He will then find readily available information about his wireless card in our inventories. The LAN port isn't so well described but it's Realtek RTL810xE Fast Ethernet (10ec:8136); there used to be kexts for this.

Dell inspiron 15 3558: no success trying to install Catalina
Hervé replied to dirtyb15's topic in The Archive
It's called a "no entry sign" and, in the case of macOS, means that boot has failed. -
Latitude 3480: guidance required for DSDT patching
Hervé replied to gengstapo's topic in DSDT/SSDT patching
There is no CPU power management through DSDT patching for this SkyLake/Kaby Lake laptop; all is done through your Clover config which is mostly appropriate though you should not require to drop the SSDT tables as shown in your screenshot of p1. Plenty of threads on the matter which include references to tools for monitoring. Look this up, it's off-topic here. -
Good news on the BCM4350 front! Further to recent additional findings, BCM4350-based cards such as the DW1820A are now fully supported. Follow our guide, inject the appropriate properties into DSDT or bootloader configuration and off you go. No need to patch kexts or anything of the sort. The closest it comes to working OOB... Full 802.11ac speed (867Mbps) + BT 4.1 all supported! These cards come as a great supplement to existing M.2 supported models such as DW1560 and DW1830.

Just follow the many guides available on the forum on this matter. In a nutshell, boot with USBInjectAll then run Hackintool to generate (or regenerate) your USBPorts kext or SSDT-UAIC table. Then you only either USBPorts or USBInjectAll + SSDT-UAIC. Look it up.
-
Not a DW1820A issue but a USB one; you need to review your current setup to get all your USB ports working, including the internal one(s).

Lenovo Edge 2 2in 1 1580 - need help installing hackintosh
Hervé replied to berrios37's topic in The Archive
Clearly not, stick with stuff that works... -
No, as I suspected, it's a USB-related issue under macOS affecting the USB internal ports. I guess your definition file/table is not 100% correct. By the way, your Clover folder shows only a "config copy.plist" and it cannot be properly opened with Clover Configurator. I guess it is corrupt/invalid somewhere. Can't comment on the real config.plist file (assuming there is one) but that could be the source of the problem too.

E7440: for macOS Catalina USB installer WiFi and Ethernet
Hervé replied to dctacsi's topic in The Archive
Wifi availability/operation depends entirely on the card you use. So begin by stating the make and model of device then lookup our FAQ section + wireless cards inventories for all eventual guidance... Ethernet should work once you configure your BIOS according to the required settings and install (or inject) the kext available in the (numerous) E7440 packs... -
E7450: DW1820A not working after turn off/turn on
Hervé replied to lee ratanak's topic in The Archive
Please detail the config you use for your DW1820A (Clover properties injection + eventual kexts) and specify the card's part number/subsystem id. How do you turn the card off and back on? Keyboard (soft) button or macOS own controls? No such issue with the DW1820A I use in my Latitude 7490 but only the macOS controls work (not the soft button). Same behaviour with the other BCM4350 cards I have. With regards to wireless, DW1820A and other BCM4350 cards should require no kexts; too many people keep using kexts to make their card appear as Airport or whatever but it really is not required. Things should be kept simple! Talking of simple, what drives you to turn off the wireless then back on again? -
Please simply use the "Reply" box/button; there is no need to quote every single message you directly reply to.
-
Such details are listed in the OS X/macOS section if you cared to search a little.

Lenovo Edge 2 2in 1 1580 - need help installing hackintosh
Hervé replied to berrios37's topic in The Archive
You'll have to identify that SD card reader (make, model, PCI ids) in order for compatibility can be assessed. Most USB-based readers work OOB (but not all) but it's a very different story with PCIe models, which require a kext. Many Realtek devices aren't supported. -
I'm not sure Win10 can be booted off USB in such a way. Google For booting Win10 off USB and follow what you find. This more a Windows issue than a Hackintosh one...
