I cant get video on internal display with dedicated nvidia gpu. If I enable switchable graphics Intel igpu works fine, but this option is not "stickable", i dont now why... I've tried JJDizz1L's folder but no luck I'm currently using legacy and booting with uefi option manually added to efi folder. Btw, my nvidia gpu is quadro k5100m 8gb and it's works nicely on external display Edit, attaching my clover folder now https://mega.nz/#!h15QzAID!Tq_h1FqqQx4Rb7hUOa-ZuB8pesaKvzLCpO4w7ALfqKE cant upload to forum, size incompatible

The DP is good .but i don't want to use external monitor. 2.This laptop don't have intel HD (Does that mean I can't use the internal screen? ) 3.If I use AMD graphics card(m5100), can I drive the internal screen? Hi ! So, I got my new computer and I installed macOS Mojave on one of its SSD. But I have a problem: my screen will really really often like, refresh itself, if it makes any sense Like when you change the screen resolution, the screen goes black for few seconds then came back up It's happening like 5 or 6 times in 10 minutes, really annoying, to the point that I'm thinking of switching completely to Windows. (Tho, let's try to fix that problem before getting that extreme) Other than that, I have graphics acceleration, metal supported and all that stuff, the only really problem is that refresh thing I wanna know if some of you already issued this, and if you fixed it. I'm using a GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR5 on a Optiplex 7010 MT (i5 3570/Q77) and latest version of Lilu+WhateverGreen Thanks ! Here's my Clover folder, if it can help ! CLOVER.zip

Hello, I am wondering if somebody could help me, I am new to the whole "Hackintosh" system having been a windows fan boy since the day I remember. I have worked In IT the last 9 years but had very limited interaction with OSX and Hackintosh (Managing to Hackintosh a Fuji laptop back in 2011 but not sure how I managed). I am running a Dell E6420. Intel I5 - 2520M 10GB ram 250GB Samsung SSD Nvidia 4200M Alps touchpad Intel Wifi ( I am aware I will need to change this) Intel Ethernet 82579 Unsure on Sound device (But it was working I believe with Voodoo) I have tried to download a pre made distro that I got to boot up, and install on to my laptop. I found a similar Dell post online (Maybe for a E8420?) and downloaded their EFI files, I then just copied this to my usb stick and deleted the existing EFI folder. This got me to the set up my account screen when i realised my touchpad didn't work (Would scroll and click but not move) and then using a USB one I then realised that my keyboard (that was working on the install screen now doesn't work). I then reinstalled it but this time choosing customise and selecting some options for installed KEXTS and this then got my laptop to boot and get to the create account screen but this time I didnt have any network connection. Third time lucky.... Well I then installed again but selected the above and network adaptors (I tried the Nvidia options too but this didn't work) and then I was able to create an account, browse the internet and start playing about seeing what I could get to work. I then downloaded some Clover tool and I was trying to download some KEXTs for the touchpad and I was using a KEXT installer.. This then was my downfall after this I then (as I had flashbacks to years ago) when I realised I had then broken it... Eventually tried to reinstall but this time I was getting errors on install, I recreated the boot usb and still got errors, I then tried multiple boots and then I would just get a hang screen after loading "voodoobootps2?" or just kernel panic. When I was trying all this I had my laptop set to UEFI (I believe this was incorrect), and I could only boot my laptop when I had the USB still installed, I would boot and then select "run OSX" this would boot fine, but I could never get it to work fine. I then on multiple times tried to boot using non UEFI and Legacy but I would always get KP and never work, Only booting with UEFI was my best chance. BIOS Settings had been coppied from dare I say.. a youtube video.. So they could be incorrect. I don't have access to a MAC, I do have a copy ready of HighSierra clean and my "tainted" pre edited version. I was installed the imaging to USB using Transmac. I was using CLOVER.

Hi. I recently installed High Sierra on my Z170-XP SLI based system and have everything working except the GT 640 graphics are quite choppy. Things like opening notification center and launchpad lag. I have full QE/QI support or whatever. I'd assume since this is a natively supported card I don't need any web drivers. Using iMac14,2 SMBIOS. If it matters I'm using a 20in Cinema Display (the old one) on DVI and a Samsung off the HDMI output with an HDMI to DVI adapter. I've attached my EFI folder if you need it. This card was moved from my 2008 Mac Pro running El Capitan and it worked just fine on there. Thanks. EFI.zip

Hey folks - I was wondering if anybody got a working App Store Yosemite 10.10 build to install using myhack on the E6500 and if so if they can post instructions? or using unifail for that matter? Anyone know what version of myhack supports it (or does any version support 10.10 as of right now)? I just got 10.9.5 to install and I am hoping to just be able to switch to 10.10 ....But that all depends on what the fine folks on this site which i rely on so much so can do !!!

Hi guys, I just installed El Capitan on my Dell Precision m6800, but: - with no args at the boot the display is black; - with nvda_drv=1 the display is black; - with nv_disable=1 the display works, but with strange glitches since the login screen and when I play a video file. I think that it's a GPU issue. I have the Nvidia Quadro K3100m. Do you think I can solve this problem with some driver fixes? I followed this super guide by Jake Lo: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7851-dell-precision-m6800-mobile-workstation-wip/?p=64970 ...but my Smbios is not the same (I couldn't find the exact model of Jake's screenshot). Indeed, Jake in his guide says Do you think that maybe I can solve this problem with some changes in the smbios or is too late? thanks in advance for your help guys! taz

By default the Nvidia K2100m alway running with full speed on my Dell (667MHz) per 50 degree C. After performance tuning with AGPM, It is running cooler on my Dell with temperatures under 50 degree C and speed (162/202/405/418/666 MHz) Demo: The detail guide at: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/7807-nvidia-gpu-performance-tuning-with-agpm/

I installed the appropriate ethernet kext for my Dell Latitude D820 but when I go to the Network Setting in System Preferences, it says No IP Address and if I put one in... it still won't connect to the internet. I think I might have to configure everything by myself..because in Network Diagnostics, everything is failing. Oh well. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: Solved using the D620_GMA950_LowRes Pack Ethernet Kext, found down below.

I have a Dell Latitude E6520 with a i7 2.7 GHz and a NVDIA Quadro NVS 4200m with 512 MB of VRAM. I can't seem to get the audio working. I would really like if the internal speakers worked with OS X. What can I do?

Unless I disable my 2 NVIDIA 8800 GTX cards with the nv_disable=1 option to Clover 3203, my Yosemite 10.10.3 system immediately crashes and reboots after Clover. I am using DVI output. I installed Yosemite 10.10.3 clean on a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-HD3 mobo and a i7-4771 CPU. To run, my kernel options are "-v nv_disable=1 kext-dev-mode=1 slide=0 " It crashes regardless of setting nv_drv=1. I can run this hackintosh with the i7's built-in gfx. I tried installing WebDriver-346.01.02f04, but that did not help. I have not messed around with other KEXTS, clover's config.plist, other config files, or DSDT/SSDT Injection. I have read through the nvidia guide at http://www.rampagedev.com/?page_id=276 but it is not up-to-date. What must I do to get NVIDIA gfx not to crash? Thanks!

Hi, I want to install OSXon my Dell D830 with nVidia. I am confused which version will be the best option for me. Lion, Moution Lion or Mavricks? All versions might be supported by my system but which one is faster and more stable on D830 laptops with nVidia cards? I have only one system (D830) and I am running Windows 8 on it. Win8 is super fast and I love it. I just want to try OSX. I will install OS X on a diffrent partition and will dual boot it with Windows 8. So any suggestions? Which version should I install? Or should I skipp this OSX? Is it safe to install OSX on D830? My system specifications are: DELL Latitude D830 Core 2 Duo @ 2.20GHz T7500 128MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M 120GB SATA

Hmm, what about the Intel GMA D820..... Same thing, the D820 gets a MacBook1,1 but the D620 is MacBook2,1; but I don't have a D820-Intel to test on, so it might very well work that way on the D820-intel). In a similar light, my Inspiron 9400 (GMA950, 1920x1200 screen) works as a D620-intel-high (MB2,1) but won't work with the smbios.plist provided in the Inspiron_9400 EDP (set up as a MBP3,1). My D820/P-M65 is happy with the D620 EDP (as a MacBook2,1) but it is not happy with the D820 EDP (as a MacBook 1,1). For that matter, my D820/M65 is happy without a DSDT.aml or smbios.plist at all, using the leppy700m BootCD (happier, in ways, since the VGA and DVI ports on the D/Dock work with the leppy700m BootCD but don't with the D620 EDP). But that is of course a substantially older Chameleon..... Anyway, there's a few data points....

First, I set the BIOS of my D830 according to the post in this forum. I also followed the instructions to create a USB OSX 10.8 INstaller, using myHack 3.1.2, and downloaded the ML 10.8.2 (Install OS X Mountain Lion.app), installed the bootpack for D830 Nvidia to the USB installer, run MyFix, and boot from the D830... I managed to get the Welcome screen, selected my new 250GB SATA HDD as target and formatted it as Mac OS Extended (Journaled). But it seems the installer crashed about 1 min after I clicked on the Install button, and the Log report would show me the following errors (I also attached the entire log below). I tried to set different boot options, and tried install using the generic extras, also tried the OSX 10.7.5, but all stuck at the same step, simply could not start the actually install process. BTW, my D830 video card is NVS 135, and I created the installer from a OSX 10.6.2 machine, if it matters... wonder if anybody had the similar experience and can point me to the right direction? Last update: 03 Jan 2024 This guide applies to Core2Duo D620 nVidia models. This guide was initially made with a MyHack-based installation of ML 10.8.0 + subsequent updates to ML 10.8.3/10.8.4/10.8.5. The bootpack was made out of the D630 nVidia ML bootpack where the DSDT table was replaced by the table from the D620 nVidia Lion bootpack, appropriate kexts removed and/or added and plists replaced. Extra D620n ML.zip This guide assumes you're using a blank HDD, partitioned and formated GUID. No tests done on MBR partitioned HDD, so don't ask about it, try it for yourself and report back if appropriate. Read the MacRumors guide thoroughly and follow it to the letter as far as creating the installer is concerned. Remember that it is not our hack and we do not support it. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1325709 You need a legit copy of ML, i.e. the Install Mountain Lion.app application, otherwise forget it. The tool requires you to copy it to your Applications folder. It won't work if all you have is the InstallESD.dmg image. In June 2021, Apple finally made Mountain Lion freely available. A link to download the application package is available here. Phase 1: initial ML installation in mainstream 64bit kernel mode with unsupported graphics make the usual myHack USB installer for ML 10.8, using the attached bootpack. myHack v3.3.1 is recommended. It's available here. boot the myHack USB installer and install ML 10.8, pointing to the /Extra folder of the installer media when prompted for the boot pack (do not choose generic). reboot into ML with "-x" flag (or ML won't boot) through your USB installer and complete 1st boot setup. you're now in ML 10.8 with default graphics at 1024x768 and without graphics acceleration. If you have not already done so, remove your myHack USB installer and put it aside. install recommended version of Chameleon (r2468) or Enoch (r2839) bootloader on your disk. They're available here. install latest update or combo update for ML 10.8.5 and all security updates for 10.8.5 (your wireless may not be supported at that stage, so use Ethernet port). at that stage, ML 10.8 is unbootable, no matter what, so don't reboot yet! Phase 2: MLPostFactor download MLPostFactor from here (original links posted in 2013 at MacRumors are dead since 2015). create a new small partition on your HDD (8 to 16GB) or insert and erase your myHack USB installer (or any other available external media). following MLPF instructions to the letter, run MLPostFactor and create an ML installer on the freshly created spare HDD partition or freshly erased USB key. Select the appropriate ML version that meets your installation and run the app, knowing that version 10.8.4 is to be selected for ML 10.8.5. upon completion, create a folder called Extra at the root of that installer media and copy DSDT table + SMBIOS & Chameleon boot plist files there. if you have a Bluetooth module, turn off your wireless services with the side switch (or laptop will look for a BT keyboard at next step and you'd need to hook up a USB keyboard). reboot off your initial ML disk/partition, interrupt the boot process at the Chameleon delay bar and select this newly created ML installer partition/disk with options & flag DSDT=/Extra/DSDT.aml arch=i386 -f. once installer is loaded, do not actually proceed with any installation (it would not be bootable). Go to Utilities in the menu bar and select MLPostFactor. when MLPostFactor app kicks in, click Continue until you're offered to select a destination volume. in the list available under the HDD icon, select your previously-made ML 10.8 installation, check the relevant 10.8.x case (select 10.8.4 for ML 10.8.5) and click Install MLPostFactor. upon completion, click Quit MLPostFactor, quit installation program and reboot ML 10.8 with flag and boot option -f arch=i386. If you switched off wireless services, turn the switch back on before the reboot. You will now have full QE/CI ! open up the Chameleon boot plist file in /Extra folder with TextEditor and add boot arg arch=i386 to ensure your system boots in 32bit kernel mode. If you have Chameleon Wizard app, use that to open up the boot plist and tick the 32-bit (i386) option, then save the file. open up Terminal and type sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel -a i386 to rebuild the 32bit-mode cache; this will remove the need to boot with -f flag. For ML 10.8.5, edit file /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist to replace version number from 10.8.4 to 10.8.5. That's it, enjoy ML on your previously unsupported D620 nVidia. Remember that this hack is quite aggressive in the way it reverts to DP1 files and older graphics drivers (nVidia NV40 kexts, OpenGL libraries), so you may find that things do not work. Again, no support for MLPF here. NB: Details of issues related to ML vanilla files that are re-instated by 10.8.5 security updates are kept in the D430 MLPF guide. They should no longer apply since ML went out of support and no further updates published.

I have been successfully running osx 10.6.8 on a D820 for some time. Since the wifi never worked I recently found an used broadcom card and installed and decided to also run the latest edp. However after reboot, the screen is blank. This happens after boot and the startup screen on nvidia driver activation probably. I have booted in -x -v -s mode, copied restored the old /Extra and ran the old edptool.command but it still does not work. Any ideeas? Regards, Olsen

Hi Folks, I have successfully installed ML on my D830. Thanks for great guide. But after installation I cannot see any WiFi adapter installed. Wired connection works fine. Laptop has Intel wireless card (WIRELESS : INTEL PRO WIRELESS 4965 exactly). Is there an option how to install/enable this card on D830/ML? Many thanks for answers. sh.
