No Intel Wireless cards are supported yet, you'll just need to replace with a supported one. See my signature file below for links.
  2. Mounting with Clover Configurator is correct.
  3. Have you use this guide for the build? Make sure you have ACPIBacklight installed and the patched DSDT for the model.
  4. Try using the left port (usb 2.0). What boot pack have you tried or you just using the generic boot pack? Take a look at this guide and boot pack. Very similar to your system specs.
  5. Did you look at the updates on the bottom of the guide? I believe adding HDAEnabler and the new AppleHDA should fix the audio. For iMessage, click on the iMessage link on my signature file below for instruction to fix it. As for Brightness, did you try Fn+F3(scrollLock) /Fn+Insert(Pause)? If that doesn't work, try Brightness Slider.app.
  6. Please specify your CPU, video card, display resolution, etc...
  7. That could be because you have an intel wireless card. That's not supported, you'll need to replace it. Click on Wireless Cards on my signature below for list of supported/unsupported cards. To confirm, from terminal run lspci -nn. See what you have on your system.
  8. Yes, but without QE/CI. See my post here. More info here.
  9. Can you confirm you have the nvidia card and not the Intel display card?
  10. The guide will only work for the Intel HD3000 graphics. Use this guide instead. Unless you want to use the Nvidia card, follow this guide.
  11. Hard to say since you didn't specify what wireless card you have. If you have an Intel Wireless, it's not supported and will need to be replaced. Click on wireless cards on my signature file below for list of supported/unsupported cards.

    e6440?

It's actually more like E5540. Check out this thread, has a boot pack you can try too.
  14. Check org.chameleon.boot.plist that you don't have the partition hidden

Quite a journey, but congratulations getting thus far. For bluetooth, try clicking on Bluetooth link on my signature below, some good info there For Wireless, mostly like you have an Intel Wireless, not supported. click on Wireless Device on my link below for supported/unsupported ones Dual booting, check this guide. works! Can you download Chameleon Wizard or MaciASL and export a clean DSDT file, and attach it here. We can try to patch it and make your system run better. Cheers

Can you boot with -v switch and report where it error out? Just "crash" is NOT enough for us to help you.
  17. Here you go. Using pokenguyen's patches for E7x40 DSDT-ckleea.aml.zip
  18. Follow guide here to do your build, you'll need BIOS version A11, otherwise you'll encounter artifacts. Make sure to select your secondary drive as the destination! Once booted, we'll work on getting the correct ssdt file for your processor.
  19. Intel Wireless are not supported and probably never will. Click on Wireless card link on signature below for a list of supported/non supported cards. Dell does not have whitelisting, so no BIOS mod will be needed.
  20. Helped a friend install Mavericks on this. It's different from the one in compatibility list as this one doesn't have Sandybridge processor, but the 1st Generaion i5. I got most things working, but I no longer have the laptop. This guide and bootpack should get you up and running, but might need more tweaks for power management. I used the myhack method for this build, so follow instructions to build your USB installer, set BIOS settings and run the OSX Installation from here http://myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/ After creating your USB installer, run myHack again Select Install Extra and point to the Extra folder attached (extract it first) Extra.zip Boot up system with USB installer disk with -v Format the HDD per instruction from myHack site (GPT and Journaled) Select "Use my Own" when prompt, point it to the Extra folder in the root of the USB installer drive Delete the 3 files when prompt Restart the computer when finished. Remove the USB installer Boot from the HDD and complete the customization by following the wizard After logging on, in System Preferences: Enable Clicking for Trackpad Allow apps downloaded from: Anywhere for Security &Privacy Note: F11 (Pause) = Brightness, but this keyboard doesn't have ScrolLock key for Dim, so for that I use KeyRemap4MacBook to map F1 and F2 for Dim and Brightness. F5 to enable keyboard light. Insert key turns touchpad on and off.

try booting with -v dart=0 Did you build installer with MBR patch? if so, rebuild your Installer and select No for MBR. Try different USB ports, perhaps the eSata/USB combo port
