  2. Greetings. Installed 10.14 Mojave on E5420, but can't get audio to work. On High Sierra used AppleAlc + Lilu and everything was fine. Tried to change layout id, changed HDAS to HDEF in ACPI section. Still no luck. I'm not sure what my codec is (only "Intel High Def Audio under Windows description), but I think that it may be around: IDT 92HDxxx HD Audio; IDT 92HD93 HD Audio. Any solution?
  3. I was hoping someone could help me with an issue on an E5540 regarding loss of audio after sleep. The E5540 is running High Sierra and was installed using this guide and installation went fairly smoothly. I used the E7440_HS.zip bootpack as the E5540 does not have Nvidia (tried to rework for no Nvidia but was not able to get it working). Everything worked except SD card but fixed config and now works fine. However I don't have audio after waking from sleep - works fine (speaker and earphone) when first booted. After sleep no audio on speaker unless you plug/unplug earphones which seems to restart it - but never anything on the earphones themselves after wake. I've checked bootpack kexts and seems to be OK (CodecCommander) and not sure what to do next. Machine has i5-4200U cpu, HD4400 gpu, ALC 3226 audio controller. Cheers and thanks in advance for your help. debug_18128.zip
  4. Hi I hope someone can help or point me in the right direction. Dell E7240 currently running HS but have run Mojave also. I can’t get the audio to work with the ALC292 and patched AppleHDA kexts always shows no output device. Found a guide which said to apply hot patches using clover configurator which I have done, each time I rebuild the Kext cache and can see the Kext being loaded, but still no audio, injected layout 12 which apparently it’s the supported for the codec. The voodooHDA Kext works but it screws up the mic a lot. hope someone has an idea what to try next I would up load files but for some reason I cant log in on a laptop as the account shows locked out, but I can only my phone.
  5. Hello, I have Mojave 10.14 installed on my system and I have problem with the combo jack audio. It's noisy when I plug in and listening to music, like when you half-plug your jack to the connector. Also Mic isn't working with the combo jack headset. Sound working well with only audio jack (like external speakers). Internal Speakers and Internal Mic are good. External mic (only mic) doesn't tested : lack of mic Tested with another headsets, same results. Working under Windows. Fixed by installing ALCPlugFix and CodecCommander.kext System: CPU: i5-6300HQ 2.8 GHz Audio: ALC 255 (Using AppleALC in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other, layout-id=3) Tested with VoodoHDA too, same result.

  8. I've managed to get a clean install of Sierra working but have not managed to get a few hardware issues sorted out. The biggest is the audio. As soon as I install the audio kext and reboot, I get artifacts all over the screen. This doesn't happen when the kext is not loaded. My spec: Dell E6530 Latitude Intel 4000/NVS5200 Nvidia 16Gb RAM i7 Any pointers would be great.
  9. Hey guys, new to the hackintosh scene and I've gotten Sierra to run pretty well on the E5540. I followed this guide for everything: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-clover-guide/ I updated it to 10.12.6 afterwards and the audio doesn't work. Curiously, the audio didn't work before I updated it too. I'm pretty much at a loss here. I've tried using other guides to get the audio working but in the end I've had to do a fresh reinstall multiple times after I screwed something up lol. I'm at the point where I'm thinking about just using VoodooHDA. Any help would be appreciated.
  10. Hi, Sierra runs pretty smooth on my Dell E5540, but the only problem I still have is the audio... I can't seem to find the correct kext for this model. According to the dell website the audio driver is a Realtek ALC3226. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks! Roelof
  11. alc256 No sound after sleep wake Failed to use the following method https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/3084-eapdjack-sense-fix-no-sound-and-jack-sense-issue-after-sleep/ Anyone can help me?
  12. Hello, I have the ALC 236 on my Lenovo Yoga 710. I cannot get the Line In to work after patching the AppleHDA. When I plug in the external mic into the jack, it sometimes gets detected the first time. But if I unplug it and plug it back in, it does not even get detected. The internal mic continues working. Also, the headphone is problematic: when I plug it in the first time, it works fine. If I unplug it and plug it back in, the audio has a heavy crackling sound. The Internal Speaker and Internal Mic work fine. Although, the max volume of the speaker is far lower than on Windows. If you have any ideas for this, please do share. I am on 10.12.2 . I have already checked the ALC236 AppleHDA kext from the Lenovo Z51 (here and here). The pin configuration seems to be different between my laptop and the Z51. I am attaching the relevant files. FYI - I have patched my DSDT to use layout-id of 28. The AppleHDA bin patch is done through Clover. Clover's config.plist is also attached. It would be of great help if somebody can have a look and tell me where I am going wrong. codec_dump_0.txt Info.plist.zip layout28.xml.zip Platforms.xml.zip config.plist.zip
  13. So I installed Mac OS X Yosemite and El Capitan on separate drives, and both have glitchy audio. I installed the newest AppleHDA.kext to see it would fix it, but i still get the same issues. It did work perfectly one time, but after that its been horrible. I also tried VoodooHDA to see if that would fix it, it actually made it worse. Any suggestions?
  14. Hi everyone this is my first post here. Thanks to this excellent guide: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-el-capitan-clover-guide/ (and a little bit of my own intuition). I was able to install OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan on my Dell Latitude E7240 but im having a couple of issues. Audio or sound is not working whatsoever. When I go to the input and output sound settings they both say no devices (even when I plug in headphones. Facetime wont work. It opens and the webcam works, but when I sign in I get a message saying "You cannot sign into FaceTime on this Mac at this time." iMessage is not working either. I just realized but I believe it was working fine when I first installed OS X (Its not so important as I dont have an iPhone anyways) I as going to say sleep when I shut the lid, but now it looks like its fine. I am sure there is a way to repair these because people online have posted having a perfect system with the E7240 but I just can't seem to get these to work. Please help if you have any ideas, it is very similar to a Dell E7440. Thanks in advance
  15. Okay, recently I updates from macOS 10.11 to 10.11.5 and now theres no Audio Devices anymore. How can I fix this?
  16. I have a Dell Latitude E6520 with a i7 2.7 GHz and a NVDIA Quadro NVS 4200m with 512 MB of VRAM. I can't seem to get the audio working. I would really like if the internal speakers worked with OS X. What can I do?
  17. I'm on Yosemite 10.10.3. I'm using this version: "RehabMan-Generic-USB3-2014-1016" corresponding the GenericUSBXHCI.kext provided by RehabMan. With this version everything seems to work perfectly. But when using an external display through the HDMI port and an external USB audio interface, the system freezes when trying to initialize core audio inside Logic Pro X. If I disconnect the external display I can work perfectly inside Logic Pro X using the external USB audio interface. I didn't have this issue with Mavericks. Also If I use an older version of the mentioned kext I can work inside Logic with the external display and USB audio interface, but leaving functional just one USB port.
  18. Hello Guys, I've been following EMlyDinEsH's Complete AppleHDA Patching Guide, I've managed to get AppleHDA, HDMI and HDMI audio working yesterday. I was so happy that I even might opened up window and screamed out 'shake it baby!'. But that was yesterday. While building my hack, I have tinkered with too much thing and I felt something 'dirty' on the pc (it probably was just me) So I have reinstalled the system. Before I reinstalled it, I have backed up the EFI folder with all kexts, patched DSDT and all that. After reinstallation, I have inhibited the patched kexts (which resides on EFI partition and gets injected by Clover) and restored the EFI partition, everything were working except for the battery meter. That was no problem, I reinstalled the kexts, and all was fine (at least, I was thinking all was fine.) After I reinstalled all apps I use, I hooked up the pc to the lcd tv via HDMI, but BANG! HDMI audio was not working. That was the moment I realized once more that it was the cost wanting all at once. I have gone through the AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext patching procedure again (even thought it was working fine right before reinstallation), but no luck. HDMI is working, but no HDMI audio. Here are the guides I was using: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1946-complete-applehda-patching-guide https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1969-guide-for-enabling-vga-and-hdmi-in-intel-hd3000-gpu/ P.S.: I could not used the mentioned dsdt patch on last link, since it is missing some headers (I think) but that should not be a problem because it was working fine before reinstallation. Besides, it says 'Patched DSDT with platform id OR SMBios of MacBookPro8,1' and my smbios is set to MBP8.1. Details of my system: PC: Acer Aspire 5755G System: Yosemite 10.10.2 Graphics: Intel HD3000 + GT 540M CPU: i7-2670QM/HM65 rev. B2 Botloader: Clover r3193 Here is link to my EFI partition. I didn't know what else can be needed to pinpoint the problem so please let me know what else should I send. https://www.dropbox.com/s/dh26dtwicpgtuou/EFI.zip?dl=1 So, my question is, where should I start looking? Or how do yo even troubleshoot this kind of problem?
  19. Greetings! I have successfully installed 10.9.5 on a Lenovo T410si following Jake Lo's tutorial, but I am still having some technical issues. 1. No Wifi - The BIOS has been updated & flashed. I have pulled a Broadcom BCM94321MC from my old MacBook Pro and have placed it into the T410si. System Prefs. > Networking recognizes that a card is present, but It will not allow it it be turned on. I made sure the switch is set to on on the front right side. I also tried disabling and re-enabling it in the BIOS as well as going to Network under System Prefs, remove and re-add wifi with no success. It is identified in system information. 20. I'm having some problems turning my laptop into a hackintosh. This is the laptop I'm working with: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230594 And I'm using Niresh since a friend told me that would be my best bet. First off: I can't boot, not because I'm sure it won't but when it's booting up it will start to make an extremely loud high pitched squeal and I know it's coming from the mic because if I touch the mic hole on my laptop or talk I can hear it, but it turns into an instantaneous squeel(but I can't mute it). And I feel like it will break my speakers so I cut it off instead of trying to push through it. I've gotten it to boot without safe mode by disabling all audio in the bios but when it boots up I can't get it to change any settings under sound or voodoo hda because they aren't detecting anything which is because I've disabled the audio. I've installed the niresh all-in-one audio solution and an azalia kext for my chipset but nothing has worked. There are a few other issues but they are minor compared to this one. Any ideas?
  21. hi friends i've successfully installed MAC OS X 10.8 on my HP Pavilion g6-1200tu laptop using myHack... But now i had meet several problems like some software's and hardware's are not working... That are 1)Wi-Fi 2)Bluetooth 3)Audio 4)Camera 5)Battery 6)USB Ports how to solve this problems and please guide me to solve this issues..
  22. Hi everyone, I got my E6400 working beautifully using Lion and the EDP process, however whenever I listen to audio in iTunes, or in any other app, if the volume maxes out there is a really loud crackle, or clicks and general distortion. I am using VoodooHDA 2.7.3 which was installed by the EDP. I've also removed AppleHDA manually because having them both was causing KPs. It worked fine in Snow Leopard, so I would like to know if anyone knows what is causing the issue?
  23. Been working on getting my E6400 up and running over the last few days on OSX 10.7.5 and have just about everything working right thanks Mariusz and his great post. Here's the two issues I'm coming up with right now: Volume control does not actually change the speaker output level. The onscreen indicator shows the level change but the actual playback level doesn't change. Mic line input not working. I can get the digital mic to show signal, but cannot get the mic line input to show any signal no matter what I send to it. I'm guessing it's something with the OSX setup or the audio driver because I know the jack itself is good because I was just recording through it last week with Windows 7 on this laptop. Any help would be much appreciated.
