  1. Need help to install and run Catalina on my dell latitude e5550 laptop.
  2. Hello everyone. I updated to catalina and I am trying to fix some video glitches when turning on and off my laptop (when turning it off issues are much more annoying). Optimus is on in bios and my bios version is A20. Attached are my config file and acpi folder. Latest lilu +whatevergreen+alc are in kext folder "Other" and in S/L/E Any ideas on how to fix it? Thank you. config_ACPI.zip
  3. I have a Dell Inspiron 3537 with Core i7 - 4500U processor, 8GB Ram, Intel HD4400 Graphics, Radeon Discrete Graphics(which I believe I have disabled correctly) My setup might sound a bit odd as I have two SSD's and on the main one where I keep the Mac-OS I have an EFI with Clover which runs smoothly when booting the system, however, I cannot do any updates on that Clover (probably something wrong with the Config.plist which I cannot figure out) On the secondary SSD I have another EFI with Clover which works flawlessly when I run any Mac-OS updates, however that one Panics when I want to run the system on it. I did not have any problems with it just got used to it. I recently did a full copy of the system and upgraded it from Mojave 10.14.6 to Catalina 10.15. using the secondary clover. The update went fine but I cannot start the system using my usual Main Clover which I used for Mojave. It also Panics when I try to run it on the secondary Clover. I have managed to get it running in Safe mode using the Secondary Clover. Could anyone guide me into the right direction.I believe that my Secondary Clover might need some small tweak to have it run the updates as well as the Main system. I am attaching the Main System Clover and the Secondary Clover and Debug files created using gen_debug. Update-EFI.zip debug_17845.zip Main-EFI.zip
  4. Success upgrade to catalina 10.15 Work almost all: CPU scaling Video with HDMI output 2560 x 1440 Sound speaker stereo Headphones sound in jack Mic (Siri also work) Touchpad with some two fingers gesture Full level backlight Wifi and bluetooth (wifi card replace with dw1560 - BCM94352Z) Ethernet card USB ports Sleep Touchscreen Not working fingerprint sensor (no kext support yet) cardreader (no kext support yet) NFC (no kext support yet) Glitch Slow wakeup from sleep mode (about 30-40 sec), and no reason why. Kaspersky for mac! Don't forget after install or upgrade to Catalina 10.15 to copy files from Copy2LE folder to /L/E and change permission / rebuild cache sudo cp -r Copy2LE/* /L*/E*/ sudo chmod -Rf 755 /L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /L*/E* sudo kextcache -i / And of course don't forget completely turn off hibernate for a quick wakeup after lid open. sudo pmset hibernatemode 0 sudo rm -f /var/vm/sleepimage sudo pmset hibernatefile /dev/null History release v2: Fix for bluetooth v3 Watevergreen kext update to version 1.3.3 V4 Many kext updated to latest Some kext moving to LE Clover update to latest version 5097 Fully fix for some KP while boot (VoodooGPIO reason). 7480-catalina-catmat_v3.zip 7480_2019_10_20_catmat_v4.zip
  5. Hi Friends, I have spare Dell latitude 7280 and I am trying to install mojave. I was able to half install to the point where it copies all files from USB to harddrive and then I have to continue install from harddrive. Then it is giving me KP and I am unable to find logs to check. I used Clover flag to stop rebooting if KP, but still I am unable to recognize error. So, If anyone has successfully installed Mojave with this version, then please share your settings for clover or EFI files. Note: I am planing to replace my intel wifi card with another one which is compatible with OSX. Thanks,

  7. Hello Hervé, Thanks to your guide for Dell E6230 Mojave - I was able to successfully install Mojave in a very straightforward manner. However, I've got 2 issues as listed below and hoping you could guide me in fixing it, please? 1) I'm just unable to get the stock Bluetooth working and there are no kext files for the same in your bootpack for Mojave. 2) Left USB i.e eSATA port is no longer detecting and devices connected to it. You've mentioned about an Hackintool in the description but again the boot pack doesn't have the USBports.kext? any help from you end would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
  8. I've recently acquired a dell latitude d430 and I've seen where people can install lion (10.7.5) on it. I've found no good tutorial on how to do so and I'm wondering if anyone can give some pointers. I'm willing to go down to snow leopard if need at least to 10.6.7. Any help is greatly appreciated

  12. Dell Latitude e7240 with i7-4600U, 16GB RAM, 512GB Samsung 860 EVO, Dell DW1550 WiFi/BT card. Followed all the guides as best I can to install macOS 10.4.3 (including supplement) and most all is good. I have the kexts installed (I believe per the guide) to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other (except for CodecCommander.kext and DisableTurboBoostBattery_2.3.kext which were copied to /Library/Extensions). The trackpad works, but nearly all the time, the Trackpad Pref Pane indicates "No trackpad found." One question I have after reading more, I'm wondering if some/most/all of the kexts should be moved to /Library/Extensions? This guide indicates "Copy FakeSMC and only critical kext's needed to run the MacOS Installer, Updater or Recovery to EFI/Clover/kexts/Other" - which ones are considered critical for Installer/Updater/Recovery? To enable my new WiFi/BT card (Dell DW1550), I need some additional kexts (AirportBrcmFixup.kext, BrcmPatchRAM2.kext, BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext) ... these should go to /Library/Extensions, correct? I'm also not sure yet if the battery indicator is correct. Is the fix for that part of the guide (and thus would already be in place if I did it correctly) or is there something additional I need to do? Thanks in advance for any help/guidance.

  19. Hi everyone, I have a Dell Latitude E5470 Laptop, but I don't have an HDMI monitor, so I bought an adapter VGA to HDMI, when I connect it seems that I have the second desktop, but the integrated screen gets off, and don't power on again, even if I disconnect HDMI. I've tried to use WhateverGreen kexts, but I always get kernel panic with it. E5470_CLOVER_folder.zip
  20. Hello, I am wondering if somebody could help me, I am new to the whole "Hackintosh" system having been a windows fan boy since the day I remember. I have worked In IT the last 9 years but had very limited interaction with OSX and Hackintosh (Managing to Hackintosh a Fuji laptop back in 2011 but not sure how I managed). I am running a Dell E6420. Intel I5 - 2520M 10GB ram 250GB Samsung SSD Nvidia 4200M Alps touchpad Intel Wifi ( I am aware I will need to change this) Intel Ethernet 82579 Unsure on Sound device (But it was working I believe with Voodoo) I have tried to download a pre made distro that I got to boot up, and install on to my laptop. I found a similar Dell post online (Maybe for a E8420?) and downloaded their EFI files, I then just copied this to my usb stick and deleted the existing EFI folder. This got me to the set up my account screen when i realised my touchpad didn't work (Would scroll and click but not move) and then using a USB one I then realised that my keyboard (that was working on the install screen now doesn't work). I then reinstalled it but this time choosing customise and selecting some options for installed KEXTS and this then got my laptop to boot and get to the create account screen but this time I didnt have any network connection. Third time lucky.... Well I then installed again but selected the above and network adaptors (I tried the Nvidia options too but this didn't work) and then I was able to create an account, browse the internet and start playing about seeing what I could get to work. I then downloaded some Clover tool and I was trying to download some KEXTs for the touchpad and I was using a KEXT installer.. This then was my downfall after this I then (as I had flashbacks to years ago) when I realised I had then broken it... Eventually tried to reinstall but this time I was getting errors on install, I recreated the boot usb and still got errors, I then tried multiple boots and then I would just get a hang screen after loading "voodoobootps2?" or just kernel panic. When I was trying all this I had my laptop set to UEFI (I believe this was incorrect), and I could only boot my laptop when I had the USB still installed, I would boot and then select "run OSX" this would boot fine, but I could never get it to work fine. I then on multiple times tried to boot using non UEFI and Legacy but I would always get KP and never work, Only booting with UEFI was my best chance. BIOS Settings had been coppied from dare I say.. a youtube video.. So they could be incorrect. I don't have access to a MAC, I do have a copy ready of HighSierra clean and my "tainted" pre edited version. I was installed the imaging to USB using Transmac. I was using CLOVER.
  21. Hi, As we are close to having the final build for MacOS Mojave, I've started to prepare myself for the update. I'm currently using High Sierra. I want to make a fresh install. My steps were: 1) Download Mojave and make bootable disk (via createinstallmedia); 2) Install the last Clover version; 3) Copied the same config.plist used in High Sierra I'm facing a kernel panic, probably because of wrong (or missing) patches. Find attached a screenshot, origin folder and EFI folder. @Jake Lo, can you help me with this? Cheers, Rafael Siqueira origin.zip EFI.zip
  22. Hi everyone, I recently managed to install Mac OS 10.13.6 to my dell E6530 (dual gpu>Nvidia graphics nvs5200m + IntelHD4000), Dell Bios ver A20. After some customization I got almost everything working but there a few things that I would like to fix: 1. Sleep issues: if I press the power button, the laptop goes to sleep but only for 2 seconds and then it's up again. If I close the lid, it does the same. I looked for the wake up reason in the log files and all show the same: LID0 EH02. 2018-09-06 14:49:11.170999-0500 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIPlatform) AppleACPIPlatformPower Wake reason: LID0 EH02 2018-09-06 14:57:59.577740-0500 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIPlatform) AppleACPIPlatformPower Wake reason: LID0 EH02 2018-09-06 14:57:59.577742-0500 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIPlatform) AppleACPIPlatformPower Wake reason: LID0 EH02 2. Usb 3.0 not injecting: My laptop has 2 2.0 USB ports and 2 3.0 ports. On system report/USB, I am able to see the 2.0 ports but there's no 3.0 ports on the list. I am using USBinjectall kexts + ACPI patches: change EHC1 to EH01, change EHC2 to EH02 + Kextstopatch: com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI 837D940F 0F839704 0000 837D940F 90909090 9090 , but I am not able to make the 3.0 ports available. 3. Sd card reader: Is any way to make the O2 micro sd card reader work? 4. Video glitch on boot (apple logos and a grey bar at the bottom of the screen): this is not affecting performance if the intel gpu, as far as I can tell, but it’s a little bit annoying. Jake Lo already explained me that it is not possible to make the HDMI video output work since in this laptop model the HDMI connector is hardware connected to the Nvidia GPU and since it is being disable via DSDT, it won't work. I hope somebody can help me. Thank you very much for your assistance. PD DSDT file attached DSDT.aml.zip
  23. Hi. I just got macOS Sierra installed on my Dell Lat. e7450. WiFi isn't working yet, but I have the 1830 card on it's way. When I went into FaceTime to sign in, I put in my info then got a notification saying I can't sign in on this mac and I needed to contact apple. Of course, as Apple would not support me in my hackintosh needs, I turned to this forum. Any suggestions on how to fix iMessage and FaceTime? All help is greatly appreciated!
