I have a Dell Latitude E5430 with the following specs: Intel Core i5 3210 M (Ivy Bridge, 2.5 Ghz) Intel HD Graphics 4000 8 GB Ram When looking through the clover bootpacks, I found the bootpacks for similar models but not the E5430. Has anyone successfully compiled a bootpack for this model? Could I use a similar model? Version of MacOs doesn''t matter, however Sierra would be nice. Thanks a ton!!

  14. Hello everyone! I have recently updated my xps 13 9343 from sierra 10.12.6 to high sierra 10.13.6. I know my all files are converted to apfs format and I need apfs.efi or apsfdriverloader.efi in EFI clover driversUEFI64 folder to load partition. I have dual boot Windows 10. Once I place those files to that folder, clover won't boot as all. Without those files I can only see Windows partition. So now I am stuck half way. Is there a conflict? What could be wrong?

  16. I have an E6520 laptop and I've upgraded some parts to it... I've upgraded the CPU from a core i5 to a Core i7 2670QM as well as upgraded the screen to a 1080P screen (I don't have Nvidia graphics, just straight HD3000) The issue I am having is that, when I'm running off straight battery power, I will hear the fans rev up and then the laptop will just shut off. It doesn't behave this way under windows or linux. I'm running the latest BIOS (I believe it's A20 or A19) on this laptop. I've attached my clover folder to see if I might have something off or not. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. CLOVER.zip
  17. Hello everyone, after following instructions on this site i have been running Yosemite on my Asus N53SV for years now. Nothing wrong with my system but i think its time to move to the next OS before im left without support. Issue is I tried upgrading straight from the apps store but didn't work. then i tried following same steps as i did on yosemite but using Sierra and still dint work. I cant even get in to the install screen. Maybe my Yosemite Kexts dont work under Sierra ? Any help will be appreciated. Here are my Specs. Asus N53SV 1080p (originally 720p but i upgraded the panel to 1080P so i had to perform a patch) Intel quadcore i7 8GB Ram 512 SSD
  18. Attempted to update clover from r4369 to r4411. Using bootpack files. Clover hangs at black screen/verbose Hangs at ++++++++. No error. Reverting clover binary to previous used .efi file works correctly.
  19. A first-time Hackintosher needing some assistance. Could anyone assist with the necessary kexts and config.plist required to get to boot? Two weeks in and I'll take anything I can get right now even if it's for Sierra, HFS or APFS. LAPTOP specs: Dell Latitude E6520 - i7-2620M - 8GB RAM - HD3000 - NVS 4200 - Crucial 525GB SSD - WD 250GB HDD Finally got a bootable High Sierra image from Hackintosh Zone and able to boot into clover, though get stuck during boot using either legacy or UEFI. Using Legacy I get the 'Still waiting for root device error' - Applied the USBBusFix flag, aptiofix to no avail with UEFI I get the prohibited sign (Verbose mode does reveal some other error) FakeSMC is added. I've tried the Sandy-Bridge config.plist as well as generic ones for legacy & UEFI to no avail I've attached my current EFI folder, EFI_CLOVER.zip
  20. Hello. I have Dell Latitude E7440 i5 4300U 8GB Intel HD 4400 1366x768. I make a bootable USB flash drive by this topic I created a bootable USB flash drive with High Sierra, install Clover v.4368 with parameters for UEFI, replace config.plist from bootpack and copy kexts in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/. In BIOS i set up UEFI booting and SATA mode AHCI. But at boot time Clover don't see drives. What is the problem? P.S. sorry for my English
  21. My Dell Latitude E7450 (A17 set to UEFI) with integrated graphics only is able to boot Clover from the USB stick I created, but the High Sierra installation is not an option in the Clover menu - only my hard drive partitions are listed. I have tried creating the stick by manually creating the USB install stick using this guide and then replacing the files in the EFI partition with the generic bootpack + E7450_HD5500_Only_A17_HS.zip from here. The stick is a USB 3.0 stick and I've tried it both in an "on board" USB 3.0 port and in a USB 2.0 port in the dock - same result. The stick was created in a VirtualBox machine running Sierra. Since the App Store update resulted in one of those ~20 MB downloads, I used macOS High Sierra patcher to download the full installer. Please advice what futher information I should provide to debug this. Thanks in advance.
  22. I am having problem with my lcd brightness value reset to full brightness on everyboot. I am running hackintosh High Sierra on a Lenovo x260. Clover is installed as UEFI only with rc scripts and using EMUVariable driver for nvram emulation. I can confirm nvram emulation is working from the nvram - p output of terminal as below. Right now, all values are retained such as volume level and other ids, except for the lcd brightness value. I am using AppleBacklightInjector kext for my lcd and patched ssdt. I am also attaching my config, kexts,ssd/dsdt in clover. Can anyone advice what should I do? fakesmc-key-BEMB-flag %01 fakesmc-key-RPlt-ch8* j130%00%00%00%00 fakesmc-key-RBr -ch8* 2016mb%00%00 EFILoginHiDPI %00%00%00%00 fakesmc-key-#KEY-ui32 %00%00%00%12 SystemAudioVolumeDB %ee fakesmc-key-BATP-flag %00 platform-uuid %cc%92%87d%d3-%b2%11%a8\%94g%ec%cf'%c0 fakesmc-key-MSTc-ui8 %00 EmuVariableUefiPresent Yes security-mode none fakesmc-key-BNum-ui8 %01 csr-active-config g%00%00%00 fakesmc-key-$Num-ui8 %01 fakesmc-key-MSFW-ui8 %01%00 fakesmc-key-MSPS-ui16 %00%03 fakesmc-key-REV -ch8* %026%0f%00%00%97 fmm-computer-name My%e2%80%99s MacBook Pro backlight-level %1c%00 bootercfg (%00 fakesmc-key-$Adr-ui32 %00%00%03%00 fakesmc-key-EPCI-ui32 %09 %f0%00 bluetoothActiveControllerInfo +%0a%87%80%00%00%00%00`%14%e4%a7%a0%0b%e1%94 fakesmc-key-MSAc-ui16 %00%00 fakesmc-key-MSLD-ui8 %00 SystemAudioVolume ? specialbootdevice %02%01%0c%00%d0A%03%0a%00%00%00%00%01%01%06%00%00%17%03%12%0a%00%01%00%00%00%00%00%04%01*%00%02%00%00%00(@%06%00%00%00%00%00%a8%f7=%09%00%00%00%00%84%8b[%c5%dd%10eA%8b%f5%ba%d1%b1%0ab%84%02%02%7f%ff%04%00 fakesmc-key-RMde-char A fakesmc-key-BBIN-ui8 %01 flagstate %00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%00 fakesmc-key-MSWr-ui8 %00 CLOVER.zip
  23. Hi, First let me thank everyone for all the guides, notes and contribution. Really thank you. Ok.. I have a Dell E6430 laptop. I changed the Wireless card for one compatible, and installed a 500GB SSD. I'm installing High Sierra. I followed the guide "Dell Latitude / Inspiron / Precision / XPS - Clover Guide" and all the installation process went perfect. I just go trouble to manage to start the mac OS without the Pendrive, but that's working now. Now my problem is the post installation. I followed the rest of the guide but for some reason it's not working. My issues are the following: USB Port not working. (This one is very weird, only the left usb port works. The right ones are not working) Sound is not working. Battery status not working. Webcam is not working. HDMI (not tested yet) VGA (not tested yet) So far my biggest concern is the USB and sound, . I used the E6430_A12.zip. Please find attached a copy of my EFI folder of the USB installer. The same content is in the EFI partition of the laptop. Any help will be truly appreciated. Thanks in advance CloverUSBContent.zip
  24. My E6230 running High Sierra always recognized External drive on USB2.0 as internal disk. But the drive on the usb3.0 port was recognized correctly as external. How to fix this? External icon patch on AppleAHCIPort applied.
  25. Hey! I have a working and stable Mojave running on this Acer notebook. For installation and post-installation use my guide: https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/11355-acer-aspire-v-15-v5-591g-mojave-windows-10/ Note: The Mojave bootpack can be used for High Sierra too. If you are using a Single RAM and getting panics at boot add these to your config.plist (SMBIOS->after "Version 1.0") Please edit the frequency and size to match your RAM: <key>Version</key> <string>1.0</string> <key>Memory</key> <dict> <key>Channels</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>SlotCount</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>Modules</key> <array> <dict> <key>Slot</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Size</key> <integer>8192</integer> <key>Frequency</key> <integer>2133</integer> <key>Type</key> <string>DDR4</string> </dict> </array> </dict> </dict> Thanks to all OSXLatitude members for helping me out!
